It's - a - SPARTAN!!! OMG! Series 2 looks great! I'm loving the first six figs from the left! Finally a Lego fro!
-
Thanks guys! Unfortunately, I didn't get any Lego, not even the Lego Harry Potter preorder, because my parents think I'm too old for it. On the bright side, I got a hundred bucks to spend on whatever I want (and I think we all know what that is ), a gift certificate for a para-gliding session (something I've been wanting to do for a long time), a bunch of DVDs, and two pet frogs (I'll post a pic of them soon)! Plus my sis decorated my cake with my minifigs, and we all played Pirate Code together. We're gonna watch a movie and go out for dinner later. ROFL!! Thanks, CB, that made my day! I look like a JibJab character.

How so? It's only covering two bricks.

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Oky replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Maybe poke out your eyes or crawl into your mouth? They were obviously targeting people's heads. But mainly they were just supposed to be spiderly creepy I guess. This reminds me: Did it seem lame to anyone else that was able to escape after being exposed? I mean, Obi knew that he was going to expose the traitor, so shouldn't he have seen it coming that the traitor would try to run when exposed? Oh well, it was still clever how Obi exposed him. -
No, I don't think so. As you can see in the first post, this is specific to all the new licensed themes this year. Besides, we all know that SW is superior to all other themes. Why do we still have no poll for this?

Awww! Buckbeak looks so cute! @ indianajones: Interesting ideas, but the car doesn't make too much sense. I think would be better if you had Harry with his wand on a broom for Landscaping, and Hermoine or Ron or maybe even Dumbledore for the props instead. Man, I'm so pumped for this game!

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Oky replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I completely agree, Inky. Well done, but predictable. It had some nice parts in it, such as Artoo's shenanigans. I liked the droids because they reminded me of the ones in Shane Acker's "9", especially the way they used the clone as a puppet/decoy. The best thing about this episode, though, is the fact that Anakin didn't tease Obi about his relationship with the Dutchess too much as I had feared. It was also kinda cool how he jumped out of nowhere at the end just to say "Hey Guyz!!! I iz gonna b Darf Vaduh!!!LOL!" Anyway, next episode looks pretty intense, so I'm looking forward to see it. Oh, and screw the Dutchess - Obi's beard rocks! I'm still bummed I couldn't find one for my costume last Halloween. -
What the heck are guys going on about? It's clearly a normal minifig head with Indy's fedora (to me anyway). So, the Undercover Cruiser has some kind of transforming feature? That makes a bit more sense. Perhaps it turns from a civilian-style vehicle to the podracer-like police cruiser we see on the boxart?
-
He did offer it initially, but yeah, you're right. I don't want to create any more work for him than he already seems to have.
-
Hold on - So can we trade our prizes now? If so, I'd like to offer my Pirate Wench for trade. I already have a bunch of those, and I would rather have any of the other figs. Any offers? @ CopMike: Please hold on to my prize until I get some responses. Thanks. Edit: Nevermind. Just send them out as soon as you can.
-
As I have demonstrated in this post, yes, my sigfig does look a lot like me, at least around the head.
-
Thanks for all the late kind comments on this guys. I'm flattered. You mean crazier? No, it actually has a cloaking device on it, so that the Agents can't hit it. Nah, just kidding. It fell off during the photo shoot without me noticing, and I was too lazy to retake the pics.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm in the 2010 Picture and Rumor Thread or the Future Star Wars sets thread. Anyway, here are some Lego Star Wars Valentines Day wallpapers from DK: You R2 Good To Me Yoda One For Me Big Hugs Bad SW puns FTW!

I'm in a real Lego craze lately. Got myself a Snowtrooper BP, traveler, second army men on patrol, and second Cannon Battle. Oh well, it's nearly my B-day after all. Happy early Birthday to me! Oh, and the swamp speeder I ordered shipped today and should arrive soon. I'm glad I don't have to wait 'til March 20 as it said. Especially since the set is mocking me every time I go into the Lego store, sitting on the shelf like that.
-
Wow! So we get all the ones in the pic? That's awesome! Definitely worth the wait! I was expecting to only get one fig, so thank you so much CopMike! Second prize is the one that I would wanted most too, so it works out perfectly for me (although first prize aint bad either)! Again, thank you so much! I can't remember if I sent you my address, so I'll just go ahead and send it again, just in case.

How does Woody look like Rorschach? No, there are much better ways to make a Rorschach fig. Yes, but I'm mean, and I wont show 'em. Sarcasm aside, it was said that the TS3 sets were inside a black box and only a selected few were allowed a peek at them, and photography was not allowed there in general, so I highly doubt there are any pics of them. And even if there were, we would have seen them already. Disney is being very careful about releasing info on their upcoming films. I wouldn't be surprised if there wont be any pics from the NYTF either.
-
WTF?! A Lego Space Pimp? That is too funny! The sets don't interest me much though. I might get that limo on clearance, but otherwise, this has been it for SP3 for me. The not-so Undercover Cruiser has a stupid name and is mostly made out of large Technic pieces. I cannot approve of that.

Is there a special tag for winning several contest (in a row)? Just curious.

Discussion: LEGO Action Themes Reviews Index
Oky replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I just noticed that 8079 Shadow Snapper and the three small promos are missing from the index. Just FYI. -
Although I personally like the Prequel Trilogy better (with Ep.III being my favorite), I must agree with the others here that you should start with the Original Trilogy. They are just classic, and they are still the best example of what Star Wars is truly all about. Besides, if you would watch Ep. IV right after Ep.III, the transition from top-notch CGI to muppets will be too abrupt and might make you think the OT is bad. And I absolutely agree with Mr. Mandalorian: Watch Star Wars: Clone Wars Volume 1 & 2 between Ep. II and III! It's awesome, and it helps to demonstrate what happened between those Episodes very well! If you don't like it, you don't have to, I guess, but it's strongly recommended! And don't forget to come back to this thread once you have watched them all to tell us what you think of them.

Lego Atlantis Cartoon Network feature
Oky replied to diggitydug's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Yeah, but it's the same fig anyway. Try this. -
But ball joints wouldn't work with the current droid arms. They would fall right off if you moved them. So unless we get a new/improved version of the droid arms, this is not what we're getting. In fact, I'm pretty sure the Grievous we're getting as a completely different one, and the one in the link is just a modified CG version of the old one purely made for the cartoon. But I could be wrong.

Why don't we have a modules contest where you have to build (part of) a location by the module standard agreed on in this thread. This could be any location in the SW Universe, including the corridors of the Death Star, Theed Palace, Tantive IV, or The Invisible Hand. The only exception could be the interior of a Venator, as that is what the EBCSWB is for. This would be a nice way of finding out if the standard works. Interesting idea, but wouldn't that be more a contest for the brickfilms forum? That's exactly what I said.
