Some close ups of the figs from this gallery: Bella is ! And yay for printed owls and sorting hat! The figs are great, but I can't help but feel that the sets themselves are a bit lacking. Don't get me wrong, they are great, and I'm super happy this theme got revived, but still, most of the sets look a bit too much like their original versions. Does anybody know who that in the Great Hall is? The Burrows is a definite must-buy though! Can't wait for these and the game(s) to come out!

White Boba! And a better view of Grievous: I'm in love with the new Grievous! Will you be my Valentine? ...ahem. Up close and personal with some of the other figs: I'm very happy with the figs this year! The amount of detail is incredible! The prices however are horrible. Eighty bucks for a Slave I?! No thank you. But no price is too high to get that new Grievous, and Aayla!

What?! You have never seen The Fifth Element, Armaggedon, Die Hard, Pulp Fiction, or Sixth Sense? You're missing out on some of the finest Sci-Fi/Action/Thriller classics!

I never really thought about it until I saw this thread. I only have five small kingdoms to speak of: The Crown Kingdom, Undead army, Troll kingdom, Fright Knights, and Ninjas. The crown king rules over his 20-or-so crown knights along with the crown queen and princes. He also has a jester, a maid, and two dwarf working for him. The Evil Wizard rules over the undead alongside the Skeleton Queen and the Evil Witch. The Troll king commands a small group of 4-5 troll warriors and one big troll. The Bat Lord rules over his eight Fright Knights and a band of witches. The shogun has two black and one grey ninja, and two young samurai on his side. The Bat Lord, the witches, and the shogun are the only ones who have a castle.

Weekly cleaning? Chlorine? Bah! Sounds like way too much work for my lazy self. My tank is very small (about 4x4x6 inches), so I don't think it'll produce much dirt, but it still doesn't seem like a good idea. Thanks for the feedback guys, especially you, Siegfried. Oh, and R.I.P. Oscar.

Hello there. As I already mentioned, I have gotten two dwarf frogs for my birthday, and all they have in their little aquarium is a rock and a bamboo-like plant. I thought it would look much more interesting with some minifigs in it, but I'm unsure if I should put some in. Therefore, I ask you: Has anyone tried this before? Will the water damage the Lego? Or more importantly, will the plastic be harmful for the animals? Please share your experience and advice. Thanks.

Thanks, CommanderFox. I received my Antilles fig yesterday. It's a pretty sweet fig. Thanks a lot, Santa KimT! Can't wait to see what kind of contest we will have next!

I actually watched that one recently. It's okay, has some funny bits in it, but nothing special. Let's see, what else... Surrogates, Star Trek, and The Invention of Lying for the second time, and Public Enemies. The first two, while not having the most complex or original plot, are very enjoyable Sci-Fi flicks. Invention is a very nice little comedy with some pretty hilarious bits (if it's your type of humor). I can recommend it, but be prepared for a lot of mockery of Christianity. The latter, Public Enemies, is one to go on the "Can't Unsee" list. It's just a bunch of gangsters trying to run from the law, and basically 140 minutes of either monotone gunfire or boring talking. The fact that the audio in this movie is so bad that you can barely understand what anyone is saying (lots of background noise etc.) doesn't help.

Oh, I didn't notice you had updated the stats already. Just ignore my last PM. Anyway, if it wont delay the game for another couple of months, I'd like a few things added to my army before we begin: (Pic is link to hi-res version) What has changed? I have gotten an RGS, so I now have Ventress. I have gotten the Swamp Speeder, so I now have an SBD and two BDs to add to my army. I have gotten the Tri-Fighter, so I now have two more Rocket BDs and a Rocket BD commander. I have switched the weapons of the RBDs with those of two of my BDs with snipers (the one on Bloodfin 1 and the one on STAP 5). I have also gotten a Snowtrooper BP and have given the sniper from that to the RBDC. To prove that, I have included all of my units with snipers again in the pic above. How does this affect my troop positions? Ventress goes onto Dooku's speederbike #3. The Assassin Droid Elite who was on it goes onto Bloodfin 1. The BD that was on it becomes a reinforcement. All 4 BDs on Transport 2 become reinforcements and get replaced by a SBD from my reinforcements, the two new RBDs and the RBDC. The BD on STAP 5 becomes reinforcement and gets replaced by the new SBD. The other two BDs from the Swamp Speeder are reinforcements. My entry thread post has been updated as well. So, when will we begin?

Are you implying that they shouldn't be there? I don't think a minifig without accessories is considered a small part... Is it? Anyway, for those who missed them, here they are (Credit to Rick_3691 for the pic):

Thanks for that link! I bet the train sequence is the opening sequence of the movie. They start out showing it through Andy's eyes, and then it is revealed that it's just young Andy playing with his toys in a flashback. You can tell because we see the train going down a bridge, and there is K'nex-like bridge with the train lying on the floor in this scene from the first trailer. Now it makes much more sense for TLC to make this set. If we really get that insect dude from that trailer, that would be awesome, especially if he is a normal minifig! Speaking of minifigs, they are all over that day care center! Seriously can't wait for this movie! And Toy Fair. I really hope they have the TS sets there!

Haven't you guys read the press release? It clearly states it will cover the first two seasons of the series. They didn't say anything about the movie, but I'm guessing it'll be in there. Also, I doubt they will have all the episodes in this game, just all the 3-part story lines, and maybe some fan favorites such as Lair of Grievous (I'm really hoping for that one!). Uhm, he wasn't asking any questions, just expressing some thoughts, and what kind of an answer is " " supposed to be? Agreed. It's one of the things that made the first Battlefront game so enjoyable and successful. Can't wait to cruise around in a Lego Fighter Tank, blowing droids to pieces, literally. I'm very curious to see what a "Lightsaber Jump" is. -
It's a nice MOC of Wall-E, but way too big to be minifig scale. If you wanted it to be minifig scale, it would need to be less than half the size of a minifig. The only thing I would do to improve it would be to swap the 1x1 yellow tile with a dark grey one, and maybe try to make the treads more triangular somehow. Do you have any other views of it? Simply posting a slightly larger version of your avatar isn't really worth a thread. Also, this belongs into the Licensed forum.

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars

Nobody said Vader would be in the game. We were simply discussing why he is on the cover art. But you're right, he could be. I mean, what's a SW game without Vader? Ah, thanks for that. Now we can see the bottom part much better. It's funny how the cut-out piece looks like a Roman '3', but I still don't understand why Vader is there. Oh well. Good idea, I might have to try that too. Yeah, that would be great for creating your own clones! I'm sure ADHO15 would love such a feature. I don't think it'll happen though. -
Sorry. I edited it. Thanks for the description. Well, "opening roof and back of the truck" sounds to me like the roof of the driver's cabin as well as the back of the truck can be opened. Simple as that. What else if not the whole truck would it be? You might be right. But still, that bowler is suspicious to me...

Maybe it's a parody of the opening scene of ANH? It could be the scene where Vader is seen for the first time, but instead of hem coming menacingly through the door, the CW characters come from behind and push him, saying "Hey Guyz! It's Clone Wars time!!1!" But then again, this scene doesn't look very much like the Tantive IV... And yes, Yoda does look weird. Hm... Meditate on this, I will. -
Thanks for those descriptions, Pi! That certainly clears up a lot about what's going on in these sets. Anything about the Garbage Truck? It'll be kinda tough seating a minifig on only two studs, especially Woody & Jessie. But I know what you mean. I very much doubt that. I mean, why would he have one? He didn't have one in TS2, and I'm pretty sure Andy doesn't own a monocle. You're probably right, especially considering that the only time the train appears in the movie is in one little flashback, and it's not even in the same scale. Do you guys think that the inclusion of a bowler means that we could get a Mr. Potatohead after all? I could imagine that he is in the Pizza Planet Truck set.

Haha, I get it. And yes, the Batman game was pretty good. I love how they cut a square instead of the usual (perfect) circle. Very Lego-like. But what's up with that Vader on the ground? I don't get it. -
Thanks for the new pics! Looking at that train, I can see that Rex has poseable arms, and Ham seems to indeed have a bowler hat! Trash compactor looks pretty much the same, except they seem to have changed the colors on the crane a bit. I'm guessing the USD prices will be $49.99, $99.99, $39.99. This gives us a little hint at what size the Garbage Truck set is. I'm guessing it will be a minifig-scale version of the garbage truck you can see at 1:42 in this preview with Buzz, Jessie, and some other figs. Indeed it will. Once you get, you should make a picture where that incinerator is filled with your LGMs, and one is being picked up by the claw, saying "I have been chosen!" I kinda doubt it, but it sure would be good! Do you really think they would make a different mold for the same character just for the addition of a hat? No, I'm sure he has a stud on his head for placing the hat on it. Yeah, the lighting seems to be a bit off on these. For example, Buzz' armor is a much brighter shade of green than it really is. Therefore, I don't think the train is dark red. Indeed, let's hope! I bet the coins in the Trash Compactor set are there so that you can put them into Ham. I wonder how you get 'em out though.

Considering that they had a giant maxi fig of him at that Toy Fair in sand green, I'm pretty sure that's what he will ultimately look like. I would have prefered him in dark tan too, though. Oh well, one more reason not to get this set (for me anyway).
-
Thanks for the link! Yes, this definitely looks much more promising than the first teaser. Looking forward to it now. I got the Book 1 DVD collection for my B-day, so I'll watch it again to refresh my memories and know what to expect from the movie. On a sad note, I bid on a used Fire Nation Ship set on ebay yesterday. It started out at 10-20, but then rocketed to $86 within the last hour of the auction. I'm in a desperate need for some Avatar figs, but not that desperate. Oh well, maybe some day...

An extensive preview from Eurogamer.

Holy Cow, are all those pearl gold round 2x2 tiles?! Plus a gold dome, printed 2x4 manuscript tile, and bottles & cystals in rare colors? SOLD!
-
Wow, that's neat! I didn't expect that. Even more reason to get the dropship! The CTT is turning out to be quite a must-buy, and GG's SF is starting to look better now too with the printing on the cockpit. Still would have been nice if it were smoother. Oh well.

This must be about the tenth thread about this. Anyway, I'm really excited for this game! It's good finally hear an official announcement. All the new features sound great, and make it sound a little like a customizable version of Battlefront! Can't wait for August now! This, along with the HP game, makes this the best year for Lego games ever for me! Merge please!
