Not sure if these have been posted/discussed, but they're not in the first post, so... Luke & Stormie Alarm Clocks (from the German Toy Fair): Who wouldn't want to give a Lego Luke or Stormie a bop on the head to make them shut up and let you sleep?

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Oky replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Looks like there still wont be any new episodes until March 19. Does anyone know what the reason for this break is? (And I don't wanna hear any anti-america rants from you, DarthSion) Anyway, according to Wookiepedia, the next episodes will be called "Senate Murders" and "Cat and Mouse". What do you mean? Kit Fisto VS. Grievous was the best lightsaber duel we have seen so far IMO. Anyway, they aren't as good as Rookies, but they are still above average, I'd say. Thanks! It was about time someone did this. Btw, the webcomic is getting pretty good! If you're not following it, you're missing out! -
Wow! Thanks for the news guys! That magnet set is exactly what I thought it would be. Personally, I would have preferred Zurg instead of Woody, but I guess Pi is right, there's no way of putting him on one of these magnets. Not too crazy about the keychains, but I guess as a collector, I'll have to get 'em. Thanks! Now if you could just add the keychains and the SAH link for the magnets, and remove the s around my name, it would be very appreciated.

Sorry, it was an accident. Didn't mean to be rude at all. Sorry about the pic too. I was hesitant to post it. I guess I shouldn't have. I'll change it into a link. Thanks for that, but uhm... I was thinking of using a Star Wars character that is a much more qualified whacker than my sigfig as the whacker, so my question is: Can we only use other sigfigs as the whacker or any fig? If not, I'll have to find someone who has that character as their sigfig...
-
You mean something like this? No, I prefer the current style of landing gear. Do you think it will have a "droid popping" feature like in Anakin's JSF? What's spectacular about that? The only good thing about that is that you can hide them away IMO. I agree 100%. Oh well, as you said, it's still a good set. Yes, they have. @ grogall: Thanks for those official pics of the magnet sets. I don't think those have been posted yet.

I disagree. I love the current hairpiece and I don't like how "neat" his hair looks in the recent movies. But if you're happy with the Agent Chase hair, go ahead and use that. Yeah, but what does it say? Something about Harry, but I can't quite make it out...
-
Oh wow, those are pretty neat. This is the first vintage minifig collection that might be worth the price for me. Girl Power indeed!
-
Why would they hide away a brand new figure in a vehicle that it doesn't even belong into while all the other figs are standing parade outside?
-
Yes, that is rather confusing, considering the pic looks so final. Maybe they are just using the prelim box from Toy Fair as reference for the minifig list? I hope you are right though. A tactical droid would make the set even sweeter!

Indeed! name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">Make sure you watch the end! Anyway, I'm usually not one to call something downright bad, but I really regret seeing American Beauty. I still can't believe I let my parents drag me into this depressing piece of garbage. I was young when I saw it and was bored out of my mind. I wish I could have just gone home. Also: Knowning. Nicolas Cage isn't the greatest actor to begin with, and the movie turns out to be just a big fat ad for Christianity. I could just ignore this movie if it wouldn't have had a good concept (numbers from a time capsule that predict the apocalypse) and good execution (good suspense and catastrophe scenes). What was the point of those numbers? Even though it would have been yet another hollywood-style happy end, I would have preferred if they would have left out and have Cage figure out some way to prevent the apocalypse using the numbers. Also, pretty much all Disney sequels (except maybe the Aladdin ones). Why, oh why do they have to ruin every single one of their classics with a terrible sequel?!

And I asked that question a while ago but never got an answer. So, how about it?

Well, according to the calendar I linked to above, the S@H catalog with the PoP sets comes out on March 28, so I think it's safe to say that the sets will be out by then. Also, you can always ask your local stores if they can tell you when they will have them.
-
If you need any more proof, the S@H catalog for April has PoP on the cover, as seen on this store calendar.

That's Luna Lovegood, Silly! Yes, that's the chocolate frog.
-
What's wrong with Aang's arrow? I think it's good that it is comprised of mystic symbols rather than a solid blue color which might have looked weird in real life. I agree on the issue of Zuko's scar, but is it really that important what Katara's hair looks like? I think that much creative freedom should be given to the director.

Yay! Finally! I have always wanted to participate in one of these fun type of contests! My sigfig is in dire need of a good spanking whacking, so please feel free to use it! Wings are optional. This is him. I have one question though: Do we need to use our own sigfig as the whacker? Or can we have our sigfig make another fig do the whacking?

New Trailer! name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">This movie is looking better all the time! The actors don't have a huge resemblance to the characters, especially Iroh, but the effects and stunts are pretty cool, so this could still be good.

Which movies can you watch over and over again?
Oky replied to Bobskink's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Thanks for this positive topic, Bobskink. I was getting sick of all the negative ones too. I agree with those, especially that last one. Oddly enough, I have only seen Last Crusade two or three times. And there's no way that T1 is better than T2. I excluded Cars because that's the one PIXAR movie that gets boring for me after a while. UP might end up getting boring too, but it's too soon to tell. Which one is it for you? Other movies I can watch over and over: Back To The Future I & II (III isn't as good story-wise, and I've seen it too many times) Revenge of the Sith (What can I say? I am a sucker for CG effects, General Grievous, S.L. Jackson, and Ewan McGregor (but not in that way)) Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker (Best. Batman movie. Ever.) Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (Best "Classic" Batman movie) Analyse This (Figgin hilarious; one of DeNiro's best performances to date) Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire / and the Half-Blood Prince Most Classic Disney cartoons, except Alice, Jungle Book, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Dumbo, Bambi, and any sequels. Duck Tales: The Movie Star Wars: Clone Wars Volume 1 & 2 (if it counts) -
I know what you mean. The Trash compactor seems to be a very <insert that tiresome argument> and somewhat repetitive build. Also, the wagons on the train look kinda short, but that doesn't bother me too much. Wait - if you're trying to collect all the characters, why don't you want the Prospector? That would be great if you would make Star Command MOCs! I don't want to be the only one making them. Or you could just give your Buzzes to me. Because then I'll end up with yet another buzz. Again, you can just give him to me. It's really the cheapest way of getting Woody. Besides, RC can be considered a character too. Probably not without having them hang out the window like on the box art or being crammed in the back. Glad you came to your senses. Yes, Lenny would be great to get, but then again, you can easily make him yourself. He's definitely on my To-Moc list. @ Svelte: Could you please update the first post with all the new pics and info? I'll make it easy for you: 7789 Lotso’s Dump Truck ($19.99 USD) 7596 Alien Trash Compactor ($49.99 USD / $69.99 CAD) The evil Lotso is planning on getting rid of the other toys once and for all! Woody and Hamm got thrown into the garbage and are now stuck on the conveyer belt heading straight for the incinerator. Can their alien friends use the crane and claw to rescue them in time? Or will Lotso be victorious? Set includes Lotso, Hamm, Woody and alien figures, and trash compactor play set with functioning crane claw, dumpster and conveyer belt. 7597 Western Train Chase ($79.99 USD / $109.99 CAD) Time is running out! Rex is trapped in a boxcar that's packed with dynamite rigged by Evil Doctor Porkchops! Can his friends rescue him in time? As Woody fights Porkchops on the roof, Buzz Lightyear is flying in for the rescue while Jessie tries to catch up to the run-away train riding Bullseye. Set includes Evil Doctor Porkchops, Rex, Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie and Bullseye figures. Train features four train cars with opening doors and roofs, and traps on the roof for more action! 7598 Pizza Planet Truck Rescue 7599 Garbage Truck Getaway ($39.99 USD / $54.99 CAD) Jessie and Buzz Lightyear are stuck in the garbage truck and are on their way to the dump. Can they escape from the clutches of Lotso and Twitch before it's too late? Set includes Lotso, Jessie, Buzz Lightyear and Twitch figures, and garbage truck hopper opens as the dumpster is lifted over the top. 5659 The Great Train Chase ($34.99 USD / $39.99 CAD; Available in May)

Yeah, he was pretty cool... Until the Hulk totally pwned him.

I was just about to suggest that! That would be a really neat set IMO. I would also welcome any other shop-type sets like the ones we got a few years ago. Mostly, I just want small affordable sets with lots of figs like Dobby's Release or Quidditch Match. For example, we could have Hogwarts Battle Packs - one with students (one of each house) and one with Death Eaters. The students could come with some benches, a pot, and some supplies, whereas the DEs could come with some castle-esque scenery or maybe a catapult of some sort. Perhaps there could also be one with dementors and ministry members. It would also be great to have a cheap way of getting Voldemort such as a vignette-sized graveyard duel with Him, Harry, and Wormtail, or a small Duel at the Ministry set with Him, Dumbledore, and Harry. A re-release of the Chamber of Secrets could be good too. A Tonks fig would be great, especially with a double sided head with pigs nose. She could come in either a 12 Grimmault Place set (together with Harry, Kreacher, Sirius, and other OotP members) or a new Escape from Private Drive (with Harry, Moody, Lupin, and maybe Kingsley). Also, basically any scene from The Deathly Hallows would make a great set, so I'm hoping that they will have a second wave with sets based on the upcoming movie! Go Lego Harry Potter!

Planet Hulk. It was slightly better than I expected, even though it was kinda weird how calm and collected Hulk was most of the time, how he spoke full sentences, and never turned into Bruce Banner. The story was kinda predictable, but it was still interesting to watch. But if you want to see a really cool Hulk cartoon, watch Hulk VS. Thor/Wolverine. That one is badass!
-
Some great suggestions so far! I'm loving that Oz scene too! Here are some of my ideas: Incredible Hulk fig If you turn the heads upside down and stick one of the hands into it, it looks like an apple. The downside is that it's hard for a minifig to hold. If you clip the hands onto a stick, you can make a thorny plant. Poison Ivy henchmen or other plant people. Mandrake figs for Harry Potter (see below). Might be a bit too big though. I'll post again if I have more ideas.
-
Finally a pic of the pizza planet truck! Thank you so much! I've been looking forward to this one, and I can't say I'm disappointed. Too bad though that it doesn't come with a Potatohead as I had hoped, and more than one alien would have been nice, not to mention that it's totally underscaled, but it's still a great looking set. Can't wait for these to come out! Somebody remind me: Do we have any confirmed release date(s) for these? @ brad: Welcome to EB, and thanks for the info.

I'm really starting to get sick of all this hate toward the new figs. I just don't understand what's so bad about them, especially with Boba. I can understand if you don't like the cartoony look of GG's head or the way his second set of arms attach, but come on, it's still way better than the last version! Everyone has been asking for an accurate Grievous and a Boba with separate jetpack, and Lego gives us exactly that, and now people are complaining that the figs are "too realistic". Make up your minds, people! As for me, I love them both.
