  1. Hehe, an Easter contest would be fun. Perhaps something like where you have to hide "easter eggs" in classic SW scenes, or maybe where you have to recolor an existing set like an easter egg. As for other ideas, I still think a non-violent Star Wars contest would be a fun idea, simply because of the irony. Maybe we could have a contest to make civillian SW vehicles (vehicles with no weapons) or locations? Would be a good way to flesh out the Lego SW universe since we barely see civilian vehicles/locations in sets. Also, when are we finally gonna have the "Fate of Ahsoka" contest?
  2. And another new clip. Those guards look... interesting. A new interview revealing that the Mando story will be a three-parter.
  3. I completely agree with you on that one, "Grevious"! The Incredibles is one of my favorite movies of all time! If I had to chose between the two choices here, I would go for Marvel as well. I'm not so interested in Spidey, but I would love an Iron Man or Avengers theme! Construct-A-WarMachine anyone? I would even settle for a Ben10-style Iron Man. Also: Nick Fury fig anyone?
  4. I don't know about you, but I still clearly read $19.99 there. I see. Well, obviously there will be other Weasleys considering it's their house. The question is which ones.
  5. Meh, why not. I mean, who doesn't like ninjas? I for one have a couple of the original sets, so my need for ninjas is pretty much covered, plus there's already one coming in the Collectable Minifig Series 1, but I'm sure a full revamp of the theme would be great. So yeah, signed.
  6. Nice to see more members getting their entries done! Hm, looking at that reference pic, it does have a lot of resemblence. Good job! But the back of it still seems different. Oh well. And yes, I noticed those controls! Great job on those! Anyway, as promised, here is my next entry: The Hair Salon
  7. Hair Salon Have you ever wondered where all the clones get those cool hair cuts? In the hair salon of their local Venator of course! The barbers are modified medical droids. Here you can see a clone getting a buzz cut (with a buzz saw ) and another clone "trying a new look". Below you can see the cashier clerk (who could be seen wiping the floor earlier), the TV he uses to entertain himself, the clone getting a buzz cut, a clone awaiting his turn, and one of those barbershop-spinning-candy-cane-thingies. There are Republic insignias decorating the walls by the door, and there is a table for the clones to put helmet onto. Here's an overview: Proof that the outer wall, one of the shorter sides of the room, is (mostly) dark grey: One of the longer sides. Please ignore the badly applied Harry Potter stickers. More pics in this brickshelf folder.
  8. In order to be able to outrun the Okymobile, the Evil Emperor Zurg has constructed a hot rod for himself! For an extra boost, it has a big jet engine in the back! It's equipped with the most powerful engines in the galaxy! The custom license plate in the back leaves no doubt of who the evil driver of this monstrosity is! The cockpit opens up! (I had a hard time making a drivers cabin big enough for Zurg's tall body to fit into, so I had to make a sitting lower body for him.) But no matter how fast your wheels are, you can't escape justice! The Okymobile is in hot pursuit! (Was that corny enough? Help me out here, Batbrick!) Zurg: "Mine's longer!" More pics soon in this brickshelf folder. Hope you liked it. C&C is welcome. And don't forget to vote on which Star Command MOC you'd like to see next in this thread. Thanks. To the Okymobile!
  9. Who ever said it would be $11? The other what? Now you're just talking gibberish! I think someone should go to bed.
  10. Awesome creation! Indeed some good techniques in there. The use of small plates for the window makes it really look like cracked glass. I also like the bounty hunter; very cool hardsuit. The only thing I would have done differently is to give the clones (dark) red arms instead of orange ones, like Commander Fox has 'em, which is the color of Senate Security. Also, I wouldn't have anything hanging down from the hole in the center of the window. Glass never hangs at a 90 degree angle, so it looks like icicles. Otherwise great work!
  11. Some more info from Brickset: The first three sound very good IMO, especially if Cagri's info on their prices is correct! Hogwarts sounds good, but if it's really around the same size as the previous ones, $130 is a bit much. I'm still super-excited for these though, and can't wait to see NYTF pics!
  12. Yeah, I guess you're right. I'll go for Antilles then. PM sent. You're just lucky I didn't have time to enter the other categories.
  13. I just gave myself an early B-day present and ordered some hard-to-find sets from S@H: Ambush in Cairo, Swamp Speeder, and RGS. And I got a free sharkman keychain with it. EDIT: I just revieved an email saying that the order has been shipped, excluding the swamp speeder (which is backordered til March 20 ). What is interesting is that the RGS's availability on S@H still says "Backorders accepted. Expected ship date February 14". I guess I got lucky.
  14. Holy Brick! That looks a hundred times better than the final set! Shirtless Dastan, Sith-like bad-guy, knife gauntlet, new whip, telescopes, 2x2 jumper plates in dark tan and bley, and no useless skeleton or printed horse! I'm even more disappointed in the set now that I know how awesome it was at some point! Oh well. At least we get a dark tan bush in the final version, I suppose...
  15. Happy Birthday Matn! Glad to hear you got some Lego financing! I hope you had a magical day and no Death Eaters crashing your party!
  16. Two words: Toy Story! (Aint it obvious? ) As I have mentioned a couple of timees, I'm a huge PIXAR fan, and Buzz Lightyear is one of the coolest characters ever, so having a minifig and brick-built version of him was always a dream for me, and now it has come true. However, Harry Potter is pretty close, no matter what the sets will look like! HP is a great series of books/movies, and the old sets were filled with awesome figs and parts, so I'm sure a revamp will be epic! Btw, can we now please have a poll for this?
  17. Huzzah! Yet another victory! Thanks for all the votes, and congrats to the other winners! There were some great entries in this category! Hm... I was looking forward to expanding my EB Stormie army, but that Antilles fig is rather tempting... Meditate on this, I will but I shall make up my mind soon. Merry late Xmas!
  18. Actually, he did use a baseplate. There's just so much overhang that you can't see it. Check below the two yellowed studs below Harry's backpack. Good idea nevertheless.
  19. Very nice. It's always good to see more Potter MOCs. It doesn't have much going on in it, but it does capture the scene quite well. The only thing that really bothers me about it is the plates on far right and left. They are too low and elevate the MOC in an awkward way. It would be great if you would make an interior scene to go along with it! Also looking forward to that "big thing". (That's what she said.) HP FTW!
  20. Thanks for the pics, YG! They look great. Here's a new video: Depp on playing the Hatter.
  21. Ah, that makes sense. Thanks. Shouldn't the mere fact that it is Star Wars make it good enough? Anyway, I don't get your meaning. The part in bold makes no sense to me. What are you basing this average on? And while I agree that this isn't the greatest episode ever, it certainly beats episodes like "Bombad Jedi", don't you think?
  22. So, an average CW episode is one that you don't like at all? Then why do you keep watching? You mean the first or the second time? The first chase was actually my favorite part of the episode. Kind of reminded me of The Fifth Element. Hehe, yeah. I found it funny how they looked like British police. Wouldn't mind seeing them in a set at some point. As for what Palpy said on the billboard, the episode guide has an exact quote of it, and Filoni discusses it in the commentary of the episode: As I said before, I find it great that they put so much thought into such background details.
  23. Thanks for this great dual review, Pi! These are some of the best BPs we've had so far IMO, although last year's Clone BP was better than this one. The number of "minifigs" and vehicle designs in the droid BP were great! The only thing that bothered me was that the droids had the old arms and those stupid megaphone blasters even though the new arms/blasters already existed. But luckily most current sets have a spare of the new arm and sometimes even a blaster so that you can do some swapping and fix this problem. The Clone BP was good too, but you're right, the figs did look odd. I never understood why they made them with eye holes in the helmet. It just made the helmets look too big. They should have made them fully closed and smaller, and maybe even with faces underneath them. I think I'm the only one who actually liked the speederbike in this set. I always thought it was genius how they made such a decent looking speederbike out of so few pieces. The turret was nice too and reminded me a lot of the ones in Battlefront. Good job on finding those box art mistakes. Looking forward to your next dual review. Btw, you might want to change the title of that last poll.
  24. Nice episode. I just love Coruscant, and the characters were pretty entertaining. Kinda odd though that it took the guy with the bionic eye so long to figure out that they were Jedi. I mean, isn't Ahsoka's Padawan jewelry/thingy not a dead give away? Oh well. On Coruscant, there are always so many great details! For example this billboard traveling ad for Glee Anselm! Indeed! The preview looked pretty good, so I look forward to next Friday! Speaking of Mandos, Star Wars Insider will have a special on them in the next issue, which is scheduled to hit newsstands January 26th:

    Theme Revamps

It's very close, though. If they were to redo it, they would probably give it a new color scheme, like they did with Space Police. If they would redo Spyrius with a new color scheme, it wouldn't be too bad, I think, since the red & black scheme has been kinda overdone. I liked Insectoids too, but I'm not sure if a redux would be a good idea. The minifigs could have actual insect heads (new molds), which would be cool, but not as good as the sweet cyborg heads of the original. The sets would be more <insert that tiresome argument> and incorporate more Technic like all sets do nowadays. And who knows how annoying a light & sound brick would be these days.
