This is an outrage! The Blue Avenger would never attack anyone who doesn't wear the red colors, certainly not bluecaots! You shall pay for this, you fiendish crab! You have just made my list for Round 2!

I voted no as well. The innocent, idyllic way Lego portraits their city has been most of its charm for many years now. Just average minifigs going about their lives with the occasional fire or burglary going on. Bringing weapons and violence into the game would kinda ruin that, and that's why Lego has their action themes. Themes like Agents are set in a City setting as well, but focus much more on the action violence. And I think it should stay that way.

Lego is a toy company. I would be very surprised if they made a movie without toys to go along with it. The fact that this will be tied to a movie makes it the more clear that it will be something with named heroes, possibly with different colors and personalities, super villains, and an overall exaggerated "coolness factor" to appeal to kids. Not sure how I feel about that. I just hope the figs wont be anime styled like Exo Force. Those heads just don't mix very well with the normal ones.

No, the helmet has part of the fin missing where the chain comes out. You can detach the chain, but you wont be able to take off any of the parts unless you remove the screw as well. It's tough, but it's possible. The helmet is not glued, so if you do that, then yes, you can take it off, but it will look weird with the hole in the fin. I think the head and shoulder pads aren't glued either, but I'm not sure. I have gotten the keychain but haven't tried to remove it yet. I can share some pics when I get around to it if you like.

They may not be the most detailed sets (especially Alamut seems rather empty) but they are still very good in overall design. Mind sharing some pics of that "castle" of yours?

Looking at the SDCC exclusives, I had an idea: A Star Wars Cube Dudes contest! Would probably be hard to judge though. I mean, what makes a good Cube Dude? Also, similar things have been done on other sites, but a "What If" contest would fun. The idea is to make a scene that shows what would have happened if one of the key events in the SW storyline would have gone differently. You could either show the alternate scene or its outcome. What if Anakin wouldn't have turned to the Dark Side? What if the Sandtroopers found the droids they were looking for? What if Qui Gon wouldn't have saved Jar Jar from getting run over by an MTT? This would also allow people to make Fate of Ahsoka entry. Maybe this could even be a separate category. Sorry to come back to this, but I was just thinking that we could make them based on SW characters rather than sigfigs, kinda like Ar Sparfel made character-themed Go Karts.

Yup, that's Skyguy and Snips for ya. Yeah, it was a bit out of place, but I think the jedi probably became kinda numb toward deaths during the Clone Wars. It's war, so the force must be in constant disturbance. That's totally what I'll call them from now on! Anyhow, here's the next review: Episode 6: Weapons Factory This episode continues pretty much right where the last one left off. While the last one was all about the action, this one has action too, but has a bit more strategy behind it. While the padawans infiltrate the factory from underneath to place bombs, the masters distract Poggle and his troops with a battle at the front door. Of course, things don't go as planned, so the Jedi must improvise. The Seps bring out their secret weapon, the new super tanks. What makes them so super is their extra thick armor and hidden warhead launchers. Meanwhile, Geonosians steal the bombs, so Ahsoka and Barriss are forced to sacrifies themselves to blow it up on their own. But they survive and get saved by their masters in the end. This episode was good, but not great. There's some Anakin/Ahsoka bickering again, and the "Super Tanks" were very unimaginative both in their name and design. It was interesting, though, seeing the two very different padawans and masters trying to do teamwork. The moment the factory collapsed and the dramatic music kicked in, I almost thought Ahsoka really died the first time I watched this, but it looks like it wasn't her time yet. Luminara's failed attempt to teach Anakin to let go of his attachments imply that he will have to learn that lesson eventually though. Another nice bit was Barriss cutting a square with her lightsaber instead of a circle. Overall, I'd give this a 6/10. The only new vehicle is the Separatist Super Tank. Doesn't look very interesting, but who knows, it could still make for an interesting set. I for one am not very interested though unless it includes a Luminara fig. Barriss Offee makes her debut in this episode. Luckily, TLC already made a minifig of her. Oh, sorry, didn't mean to leave you out, Stash! Now let's see you two top this one!

Congrats, winners! Even ACPin and I didn't have a chance against your awesome works! I didn't expect to get far this time since I had to throw my entry together in the last minute due to having been on vacation, but at least I'm in the top 5, so thanks for those who voted for me! This was a very epic contest, and I'm already curious what kind of contest Kim & Stash have in store for us next!

Tough question. I'd either go with Adventurers or Agents. For the Agents, you could make an HQ like prateek said, and for Adventurers you could either do a small museum with Dr. Killroy's office, or Johnny Thunder's residence with lots of trophies and souvenirs from his various adventures covering the walls. I'd prefer Adventurers, and I think many other will as well since it's one of the most popular action themes. Another idea would be a large Time Cruisers lab, but that theme isn't very popular and not a good representation for the action themes. Aquazone/Atlantis and Rock Raiders/Power Miners wouldn't work very well since those are underwater/underground themes. Sounds like a very interesting project! I hope you're making one for Toy Story as well (Andy's House? Pizza Planet? Sunnyside Daycare?)! EDIT: Oh, I see. I thought you were making a town layout where each house represents a different theme. So what you really want to do is a MOC for each individual theme that is modular? If so, yes, an Aztec temple with lots of traps and a big treasure would be great for Adventurers.

You always get the good stuff first, don't you, Dunjohn. What a wonderful parts pack indeed! And OMG, invisible spare parts! But I agree that the yellow parts should have been gold, or at least green (they use trans neon green gems after all). But that's OK. Thanks to not being licensed, this set with its rare parts is a steal at twenty bucks! Can't wait for it to become available over here too! Thanks for the great review!

Make a decal or request one, or just use the sticker from the Lunar Lander:

While the Cloud City Boba was pretty sweet with its arm and lg printing, I never really liked the old helmet. The color wasn't accurate, and you couldn't turn it. They did a great job with that on the new one. The cape thing is a nice addition too. And of course the blaster of the new one is much better than that big old camera thing. For me, the ultimate Boba would be the new one with the arms and legs of the Cloud City one. Unfortunately I will never own either of them unless they release the new one in a cheaper set.

A skeleton monkey would be sweet, but I don't think they'll make one. I'm not even sure they'll make the crew in their undead state, but it's possible that they give them double sided heads with the undead version of their face on the other side. That would be cool. -

That image has nothing to do with POTC. It's from Lego Universe which is comprised of minifigs that have never been seen before. -
I believe it's a promo that was only given out to Lego Club members that attended a one-time event at the Lego Store.

Gotcha. Yes, a new ninja theme would be neat, though I'm a bit afraid of how it would turn out. NinjaGo already sounds a bit cheesy, even if it's a prelim name, and with all the colorful sets with named characters that we get these days, I'm afraid it could end up as sort of a Knights Kingdom 3: Ninjas Kingdom. Let's hope TLG learned their lesson with the jelly knights and wont give us jelly ninjas. But then again, I guess it wouldn't be all that bad since ninjas were pretty colorful back in the day too. I wonder if the ninjas from LU are anything to go by? You mean like Ninjas VS. Cyborgs? I like the sound of that, but I'd still prefer a more historically correct approach like the last ninja theme. By the way, why hasn't PotC been added to the list yet?

Hehe, yeah, I agree. Since he has such a big belly (and apparently big feet too), the comforter needs to buldge.
-
Uhm... both those links don't really lead anywhere except Lego's homepage. EDIT: Oh wait, so since it leads to Lego.com, you are saying this is proof that "NinjaGo" is an upcoming theme?
-
I was talking about the rumored PM sets such as "Lava King/Lord". Those sound fake to me. I have not yet heard of this "NinjaGo". It does sound a bit cheesy too, but then again, "Power Miners" sounds similar to a certain baby show as well, but it turned out alright.
-
It's not the first time that the online bios/story have conflicted with the sets, so I don't think that's anything to go by. Besides, a portal would be too similar to another current action theme, Atlantis. Oh, and those "confirmed" lists from brickipedia are months old and obviously fake.

Thanks for all the kind C&C everyone. Yeah, you are both right. The body is boxy because I didn't have many brown pieces available at the time, but now I have more, so maybe I'll make some improvements. The head needed to be nice and round, and this was the only round brown piece I could find, but unfortunately it's a bit small compared to the body. Perhaps next time I will make the whole body smaller so that the head is in the right scale. I wanted the fingers to be pointy and robotic, and this the best way I could find to achieve that. But yeah, they make the hands bigger than the head, which is not right of course. Looks like I got some work to do. I would love to, but I don't have that piece and don't plan on getting it. Hehe, well, I suppose I could start a project like that, but I would always have to re-use the same parts due to my lack of brown and tan pieces. Plus I'm very busy these days and I have many other projects that have higher priority. But maybe some day. No problem, I'm glad it got revived.

When and what will the next themed month be?
Oky replied to Joey Lock's topic in Forum Information and Help
Yeah, November would be best since that's when the movie comes out and people who don't have any Harry Potter sets have some time to buy the new sets. How about a twist on the Whack-A-Fig contest where you have to use magic spells instead of blunt objects? I mean, who doesn't want to turn Hinckley into a toad, or even better, a Lego ice cube tray? (No offense, Hinck!) -
It's more of a dark tan though, and in the dark atmosphere of the movie, it seems more brown than tan to me. That would be wonderful, with the crashed airplane and all! I hope you will be able to make it some day!
