Why would they need to do that? There are the pics from def's thread, and there's Wookieepedia (which has pics of most of the vehicles), and there are certain other *coughillegalcough* ways to get screenshots. I think that would be the least of the problems. Well, those sets are from back in the day when TLC used to be so generous to put multiple minifigs into impulse sets, but now impulse sets only have one fig, so it would be inappropriate to have a contest for designing sets like that nowadays in my opinion. Besides, it's more challenging making a set based around a single fig.

Thanks guys. My amazing brickbending powers helped in the creation of this MOC. Yeah, I might post an update when I get a second muscular torso. You should really have a look at it! Don't let its anime-influenced style put you off! It's one of the greatest cartoons ever! And yes, if you take a look at the hi-res pics you will see that they do "lock" into each other.

The Adventures of the Blue Avenger! Watching over the nightly streets of the fort, there is a shadow. A blue shadow! His identity is unknown, but they call him the Blue Avenger! Feared by his enemies and loved by those he protects, every night he swoops down from the rooftops and takes revenge on every Redcoat who has ever killed a Bluecoat! He sneaks up behind them and strikes quickly! The Redcoats never know what hit them! But sometimes he uses a more direct method. Sometimes he takes them out one by one... But often he eliminates many of them at once. No guilty Redcoat escapes his vengeance! Relentless in his noble quest, and haunted by memories of Redcoats murdering his parents, he makes sure that the Redcoats are truly covered in red - their own blood that is! However, he doesn't mind stopping for "a little snack". And even a hero like him needs some recreation time. Long live the Bluecoats! Thank you, Blue Avenger! I hope you enjoyed it. I don't know any ClassicPirates in-jokes, so I decided to do something completely different. Oh, and by the way, all the redcoats used in my entry are of the lower chinese quality - the kind of quality the Redcoats love sooo much. To the Blue-cave!

You're welcome. But I agree with sok, otherwise you're doing a terrific job! I really like the entrance hall with the four colored tiles on the floor.

Well trained indeed! You wont get rid of good little Cuddles that easily! Too bad for you, ADHO. Looks like we noobs are the first to go. By the way, about the end of day two, I would have expected Ron to have some kind of comment on someone from his family being convicted, possibly something hilarious. You had a great set-up for a funny "Ron moment", but you didn't take advantage of it, which is too bad. Just my 2 Cents Knuts.

I know the last contest isn't even over yet, but here are some more ideas to consider for the next one: A SW impulse contest - Basically like the Battle Pack contest, but for impulse sets. I know there already was an inter-theme impulse contest two years ago, but there were only a couple of SW entries, and the potential for SW impulses wasn't even nearly reached in my opinion. A "Build the Clone Wars" contest - Build one of the new vehicles from the CW cartoons that haven't been made into a set yet. Entrants could use def's "Rewatching the CW" thread as a reference for what to build. Vehicles from the 2D clone wars cartoon could be included as well for variety's sake. Perhaps this could get some more people interested in the CW, maybe even you, Kim!

In order to make Avatar: The Last Airbender look good again after M.N.S. ruined it with the recently released movie, I decided to make a MOC of one of the most epic scenes in the series: the moment when Aang goes into the Avatar state and creates swirling rings of the four elements, air, fire, earth, and water, around himself and hunts Firelord Ozai down. Here are some reference pics: Sans Photoshopping: Propelled by their enhanced bending powers, the two speed over the Wulong Forest. Run, Ozai, run! Unfortunately the fire ring got displaced during the photo shoot. I chose a transparent base to emphasize how high up they are flying. And here are the figs on their own: Ozai and Avatar State Aang. I was forced to use the tri-nipple torso for Aang because I only have one of the muscular torso. The white arrow was a pain to cut out and apply, and it didn't stick as good as I hoped. Oh well, he still looks decent, I think, but it makes me sad that we never got a minifig of him in the avatar state. Or with a serious face for that matter. You can find more pics in this Brickshelf folder. Let me know what you think! Go Avatar!

Victory is mine! ... if that is me in that comic that is. That fella only has a little resemblance with my sigfig, and his name is slightly different too... Ah heck, it's close enough. Nice work! May the force be with you in this contest... er, I mean luck.

I see. Well, that's your opinion, I guess. Anyhow, here is the next review. But be warned, it's not a pretty one. Episode 4: Senate Spy Hm, how should I put this. This episode was lame. Really, really lame. It begins with Anakin and Padme having some alone-time. Then Annie gets called to the Jedi Temple and told to convince Padme to spy on Rush Clovis, a senator from the silly named planet of Scipio (seriously, they couldn't come up with a better name?) who the Jedi are suspecting to have affairs with the Seps. Anakin meets up with Padme and they bicker for a while until Padme decides to do it. She has a little date with Clovis, and they depart for Cato Neimoidia to "negotiate" with the Trade Federation. Of course, Anakin gets all jealous and comes along disguised as a pilot, doing childish things to keep the two senators apart. While on Cato Neimoidia (which eerily reminds of Plo Koon's death scene from ROTS), Padme finds out that Clovis is indeed working with the CIS to build a new droid foundry. She steals the plans for this foundry (which were left carelessly in the holo-table protected by a cheesy password that took only seconds to guess) and gets the plans to Anakin. Meanwhile, Clovis' associates poison her in an attempt to make Clovis cooperate with them. Clovis offers to help her and Anakin in return for the disk. They manage to escape with the antidote, but Anakin leaves Clovis behind, and so he has to face his Neimoidian partner's firing squad. Good riddance, IF he really did get shot, even though it was kind of an un-heroic thing for Anakin to leave him to die. Oh well. In conclusion, this episode was pretty bad; no action whatsoever, no interesting characters, and a pretty predictable plot, plus some annoying bickering. It's nice that they wanted to try something different, but it did NOT work. This series has too much potential to be wasted on episodes like this. I could rant on about it, but I'm just gonna say that the only things I liked in this ep were Threepio's frustrated comments on not being needed and the way they snuck the disk past Clovis. 2/10 As for new stuff, we have Padme's star skiff from Episode III. Who wouldn't love to have an all-chrome starship like this as a Lego set? J-type star skiff Then there is Clovis. Not an exciting character, but if we do get a Padme's Star Skiff, he would probably be the bad guy in the set. Who knows, he might be good for a new hairpiece. Senator Rush Clovis There is yet another new Neimoidian with a funny hat called Lott Dod, and Poggle the Lesser makes his Clone Wars debut in this ep, both of which would make neat, useful figs. Lott Dod & Poggle the Lesser We also see Anakin in a Naboo pilot uniform. This outfit could be useful too, even though the helmet would probably be the pilot hat we already have. And what's better than luxury droids? Golden Luxury droids! There are two of them in this ep, and like def, I'd like to see these as figs! BD-3000 luxury droid Lego ships appearing: None Lego wishlist: Padme's Star Skiff, Rush Clovis, Lott Dod, Poggle the Lesser, Naboo pilot Anakin, (golden) Luxury droid

I actually liked CotF. It had good action and some cool stuff in it. Maybe it's just because I really like Obi Wan, Mace Windu, Cad Bane, Mustafar, and the T-6 Shuttle. However, I agree that it's stupid that Mace Windu foresaw that it was a trap and Bane still got away. But what's wrong with Obi saying it's an internal Jedi affair?

Yeah, I just got mine too. I had been wondering what happened to it, but I guess it just took them a while to get to the States. Thanks again everyone! This whole month was certainly a great success! Hm, good question.

I highly doubt that after reviews saying "M.N.S. needs to be shot, then hung" that there will be any sequel. And naturally, we can kiss the chance of a reboot of the Lego theme goodbye. It's good that at least some of you were able to enjoy this. I was thinking about watching this, maybe even in 3D, but now I think I'll be better off netflixing it. A shame, really, but I was pretty much expecting this from the start. And yes, let's hope that this flop doesn't affect ATLOK.

Interesting article, even though they got the Star Wars example wrong (Geonosis arena in Ep.III? FAIL). I agree with them. Toy Story would make a great game, and there should really be some new/better non-licensed LEGO games that you don't have to pay a high monthly fee for. LEGO Cars could be a good game too as long as it's not based on the Duplo line. It could be like Lego Racers, except in the world of cars, where you can build your own Cars character and race tracks. And who wouldn't love a LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean game? By the way, this should probably be in the Multimedia forum. In fact, I think there might be a similar thread there already...

RULES Redcoat vs. Bluecoat Tournament of Retribution II RULES
Oky replied to Commodore Hornbricker's topic in Pirate MOCs
So it really needs to be the exact red/bluecoat design? No substitutes whatsoever? Just making sure. Also, is it okay if one of the required soldiers is only a minor character in the story? -
Well, it looks like not only Cuddles the monster has been making its rounds, but also a title-giving monster called a "mod", one that has been following the Hogwarts Mafia game. So now I have lost my beautiful "To Infinity and Beyond" title to "Eternal Slumber" because my character was the first to be killed off. Oh well, that's the price you have to pay for entering Mafia games, I suppose.

Well, yeah, but I'm not counting those things that are generally wrong with this show. Otherwise I don't think any episode would get anything better than a 6/10 from me. Good point. I guess the only thing the Juggernaut is good for is to run over its enemies. Hence the nickname "Turbo Tank". though what?

Perhaps you should post that in the discussion topic for everyone to see. Move Assassin Bike from J15 to I13 Turn Hailfıre from S21/S22 to S/T21 Move Assassin Bike from S17 to S15 Move STAP from R16 to R15 Move STAP from T16 to T15

And here it is! Episode 2: Cargo of Doom This episode is the second in the three-part holocron story-arc, however, it doesn't connect directly to the previous episode. There is a whole chunk of the story missing in between where Cad Bane takes his separatist fleet to Devaron and kidnaps Master Bolla Ropal along with the memory crystal that holds the names and locations of all the force-sensitive children in the galaxy. That part of the story was told in the webcomic (quite well, if I may add), but to those who didn't read the comic, this jump in the story might have been confusing. Anyhow, at the beginning of the episode, we find ourselves in the middle of a space battle between the Resolute and Cad Bane's Munificent-class star frigate. While trying to make Ropal open the holocron, Bane tortures the brave jedi master to death. Afterwards, he just walks off to think of a new plan. This shows once more how cold-blooded Bane is. Meanwhile, Anakin comes up with the plan to use AT-TEs to board Bane's frigate. While AT-TEs in space isn't a new concept, it is still pretty neat seeing them being used as boarding vessels like that. Soon Anakin and Ahsoka confront Bane inside the frigate. Bane turns of the gravity generators, and a zero-grav battle ensues. This was also a pretty original and cool idea. Then, Bane lures Ahsoka into a trap, and Anakin has to go save her. Bane threatens to kill her unless Anakin opens the holocron for him, and since Anakin is too attached to Ahsoka to let anything happen to her, he does it. Bane gets away, and the jedi are forced to evacuate. They use a separatist shuttle to get off the frigate. Bane seems to be dead, but a sharp-minded viewer should be able to figure out what really happened to him. Overall, this was a good episode. Lots of action, a good villain, and some fresh ideas. However, there weren't many new things in it, and the beginning was a bit confusing. 9/10 The only thing that was really new was Anakin and Ahsoka's spacesuits. Since TLG seems to be throwing these two in every second set or so, it would be nice to see them in new outfits like these, not to mention that a bubble helmet like this would be pretty useful. As for new characters, there is only the doomed Jedi Master Bolla Ropal. He should be pretty easy to produce using the Onaconda Farr head, but since he dies a few minutes into the episode, it's unlikely we'll see him as a fig, but it would still be neat to get him. Lego ships appearing: AT-TE, Twilight, RGS, V-19, Venator, Sep. Shuttle Lego wishlist: Spacesuit Anakin & Ahsoka, Bolla Ropal

Well, that's the end of me then. Killed in the first night, responsible for the murder of at least one innocent, and declared impartial... What a way to go, especially for my first Mafia game. Oh well, it was still fun though. Sorry Jimbee. Hopefully my dear Cuddles will do some good and get some of the Hallowed as well.

Bagdoms My bag-built Kingdoms impulses. The jester seems unhappy being trapped inside a bag and being unable to reach his hat. Or maybe he just can't breath? Well, either way, don't worry, he's free now, and happily reunited with his long lost twin brother from the Fantasy theme.

Like what? They have already done all the iconic vehicles from the movie, plus Let's be realistic, people, there's barely any more potential for this theme. Maybe one more wave, but that's it. Gawsh! You're sooo funny! Puns FTW! Uhm, yeah, like a couple of months ago, in the trailer. Why in the world would TLC (or anyone for that matter) care about appearance counts? They're just small sets to promote the larger sets and earn Lego (and Disney) even more money, just like any promo sets. "In no way whatsoever"? Aren't you exagerating a bit? In my opinion, the only thing that is off is the scale of the crane. And Disney actually kept the pics of the set as secret as they could up until the release of the set, so you can't really blame them. It's funny though how everyone was eager for new pics, and now you're complaining that we got them. I personally wanted the sets as soon as possible, so I'm not complaining.

Well, many AFOLs believe that there is such a thing as "un-lego" parts and minifigs. Many licensed figs with non-traditional proportions have been accused of that too. The problem is that they are not as versatile as the traditional minifigs. On top of that, the 4+ figs came in sets that were highly "<insert that tiresome argument>" (consisted of large parts) which added to the hatred of them. I personally don't mind them as much as others for similar reasons as you, but I do agree that they are kinda useless outside of their own themes. I'd love to see you prove us wrong, though. Hope that helped.
