Thanks Forresto, even though that article doesn't reveal much anything new. Comparing the show with SpongeBob and Super Hero Squad Show doesn't exactly add credibility to their statement "We don't want to make a bad show", but I'll stay faithful for now.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion
Oky replied to Corvus's topic in Culture & Multimedia
From the article: The words "her life at the end" tells me she'll probably go rogue. That would explain why she seems to be among the people attacking Dooku. We'll see. As for Savage, I'm still skeptic about his character. They say they want him to be different from Maul, yet they make him his brother? And his name is Savage Oppress? Can you get any more obvious? Uhm, are you talking about Shaak Ti? -
Still no news about the live-action series? There's suprisingly little info on something that was supposed to air this year. How about that Seth Green comedy series?

Yeah, maybe this whole season is just an illusion, maybe at the end the whole universe implodes, and it is revealed that it was all just Ahsoka having a bad dream. C'mon, you can't seriously believe that. Let's face it, this is all canon, and it's just them screwing up the whole saga. -
Yeah, those two should definitely be larger than the rest, though not by much. After all, The Three Broomsticks has a second floor in the movies. I'm assuming you didn't read the description?

That's The Clone Wars to you, mister! In "Star Wars: Clone Wars" they would have never done such a stupid thing. Huh? What do multiple futures have to do with Savaage? And do you really think they'd go the Terminator route in this series? I seriously doubt it. -

Yeah, I too would have preferred if they brought in cyborg Maul or a clone of him rather than his brother, but at least they can't ruin his character, only that of his brother. Yeah, it looks pretty epic alright. It seems that S3 will be quite a step-up from S2, even more so than S2 was to S1. I like how Ventress is more like her original version, but like you, I'm skeptical about the plot of her getting hunted by Dooku (and the Nightsisters?). We'll see. -
Yeah, it's a good start, but still incredibly plain. Try adding some texture to the brown part, maybe put something onto the mantlepiece, and add a pattern or something to the wallpaper. By the way, what does "MOD" stand for?

I sure can.

Hahaha, that's great Matn! I love it. It looks nice and girly while retaining that medieval feel of Harry Potter. Good job! And don't worry, it works much better as one-story house. Can't wait to see more of your Hogsmead!

Hehe, thanks. I'm glad the ones involved in the comic liked it. But we all know it was your family who started it. Oh, and don't worry about my balls; the smart and skilled bluecoat surgeons were able to restore them to their old health! Or should I say do worry? That's OK. Serves me right for being so tardy. Thanks, Big Cam! Once again, I'm honored. It was inspired by the one from 4101 Wild Collection, but mostly it's my own design.

Strange. I checked all my local stores again yesterday, but no luck. Perhaps this is UK-exclusive thing? Like you said to me on my flickr: Lucky you! Thanks for letting us know about its existence. Sadly, Klaus Dieter said he didn't see any new TS sets in the catalogue he was granted look at, and there aren't a whole lot of possibilities for this theme anymore, so I wont get my hopes up. By the way, does anyone have instructions for the Buzz Lightyear CubeDude? Or perhaps a pic of it from the back so that I can reverse engineer it?

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion
Oky replied to Corvus's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Not really since we still have at least another season to go after this one, and Anakin was still "good" by the beginning of ROTS. Cool. I never played the game, but I like the idea of an elite squad of clones. Hopefully they wont screw this up. Or a whole new squad all together. -
Episode 8: Brain Invaders This is the last episode in the Geonosis storyline. After finally having captured poggle, Anakin, Obi, Ki-Adi, and Luminara bring Poggle to Coruscant, while Ahsoka and Barriss are sent to get supplies for Mace Windu's forces on Dantooine (nice little reference to the first Clone Wars mini-series there). The problem is that before departure, a worm crawls up one of the clones' nose, taking control of his brain and making him bring lots of worm eggs with him. Can you see where this is going? Yeah, this is another very cliche episode. Once on board, the clone spreads the worms to his brothers, and soon, they take control of the bridge and attack the two padawans, giving them a taste of Order 66. The girls are able to defend themselves and quickly find out what's going on. They split up and Ahsoka goes to call for help. This causes Anakin to go all Vader on Poggle and force him to reveal the worms' weakness by force-choking him. Meanwhile, Barriss gets infected too and attacks Ahsoka. She escapes though, and with Anakin's info, she's able to kill all the worms. Except for the one in Barriss for some reason, almost forcing Ahsoka to kill her, but she kills the worm instead. Later she wakes up in the medical station they were heading for, and after Kit Fisto tells them it was the worms that were responsible for the Geonosians recapturing their planet, Anakin has a comfort talk with her, telling her she did the right thing and that "letting go of our attachments is a difficult struggle" (Yeah, no duh, Vader ). This episode was no better than the last one. Very cliche, with few surprises. It did have some decent action though, and watching Anakin go angsty is always sweet. 6/10 Most of the episode takes place on a medical frigate which would be an interesting ship to add to our Lego Republic fleets. Pelta-class frigate Also new are the space tug boats that help the frigate dock at the medical station. I really like these because they remind me of Gasgano's podracer and wouldn't mind a set of them, especially since they come with two clone pilots. Tug Ship There aren't really any new characters in this episode, but some interesting clones. For the first time, we can see clones in their PJs! Pajama trooper anyone? Also, there are the infected clones with white eyes and worms coming out of their mouths, and Scythe, a clone with a neat tiger jaws tattoo on his forehead, both things that would make some interesting new clone head prints. There is also a gray protocol droid with an interesting Open Circle Fleet paint job. Lego ships appearing: Venator, Republic Gunship, Republic Attack Shuttle Lego wishlist: Medical frigate, tug ship, Pajama trooper, infected or face tattoo clones, Republic protocol droid

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion

We already knew the date from the last trailer that was posted, but it's good to know it will open with two episodes again. Thanks for the link; it's a very amusing article. Gee, I wonder what it will be. It's funny how they try to make it sound all exciting and unpredictable, but it's not. Oh well, I'm still looking forward to it though. I wonder what they mean by that though. How can they uncover Anakin's destiny already? -
Your kid's got taste. Battle of Endor is certainly a good choice, but you might want to make sure what he likes better: The Clone Wars TV series or the movies. That will narrow your choice down a bit. If he does like the Clone Wars, you could buy him the clone and assassin droid battle packs and the ARC-170 Starfighter or Republic Attack Shuttle. They are great sets, and even though the ARC-170 and RAS are a little big, they are still easier to play with than the Republic Gunship or Venator. But if he likes the original trilogy, the Battle of Endor is definitely the set to get.

LEGO Licensed Themes MOC and Review Index Discussion Thread
Oky replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Licensed
I couldn't help but notice that the index hasn't been updated for months. Any good reason for this delay? I have links to all my Toy Story reviews on my profile page which should make it easier for you. Yeah, what's up with that? Knowing Shadows, this could be some kind of joke, but I don't think such humor is appropriate in an index. -
Thanks. It's my job to make the Toy Story sets look good, even if it's such a mediocre set. And as I said, when I review the fourth promo depends on when I can finally get my hands on one (one that is reasonably priced that is). I'm honored, but what "custom" are you talking about? Yes, everyone is after Woody's sausage. (pun intended)

It was a busy day at Star Command. Oky Wan just finished assembling all the new mini ships when suddenly the doorbell rang. Could it be Dunjohn the mail-bot again? He went to open the door. Indeed it was! But this time he didn't have a crate with him. Instead, he handed Oky Wan an envelope. "Mail for Oky Wan Kenobi" he said with his robotic voice, and left. Oky opened the envelope. It was an invitation to a camp out from his partner Buzz's friend, Sheriff Woody! This was just the kind of recreation he needed! Quickly he packed his things, put on his cowboy hat, and departed for the Wild West! Set Number: 30072 Name: Woody's Camp Out Theme: Toy Story Year of Release: 2010 Pieces: 20 Minifigs: 1 Price: FREE with Daily Mirror Brickset BrickLink Brickshelf The Bag The front of the bag shows Woody camping out in the desert that the Western Train was seen driving through. Like the other promos it has the Toy Story 3 design with the real Woody and his best bud Buzz in the corner. The back has the same warnings as the other promos. And like on the Buzz promo, there's no Lego Club ad. Here it is next to the other two promo bags. Now where is the forth one?? Content Inside the bag you will find the parts along with a folded instruction sheet and the separately bagged, pre-assembled Woody minifig. The instructions are the most underwhelming instructions I have seen in a while. Each of the three set pieces are made out of only 3-4 pieces and it only takes 7 simple steps to assemble them all. That's one less building step than the three other Toy Story promos have. On the back of the instructions there are ads for the three other sets the "clean" Woody comes in. Again, no Lego Club ad. The Minifig Woody is the same one as in the sets pictured above. Nice and accurate. The completed Set Here are the three main set pieces: a log chair, a small camp fire, and a lamp. Very basic design, but easily recognizable as what they are supposed to be. It's not easy making Woody hold the lamp since the piece used as the handle isn't designed to be held by minifigs that way, but it's possible. Here he is sitting at the fire. It's not easy seating him in the log chair either since it doesn't have studs where he is supposed to sit. It's virtually impossible to seat him if his legs are bent down more than 90 degrees because he will fall over backwards. Who wants a piece of Woody's sausage? There are two spare parts: A black claw and a fire/plume piece, both quite useful. If you want to get creative, you can use the instructions as a tent. Ratings Design: 3/5 - Very unimpressive, although the fact that the log chair is entirely built sideways is kinda interesting. It definitely gives you the feeling of a little camping site though. Build: 0.5/5 - Since there are only 7 small building steps and you don't even have to assemble the minifig, this can hardly be considered a construction toy. Minifigs: 4/5 - Woody is a highly accurate minifig, and it's great to get a main character in such a small set. The only problem, as always, is that his body parts aren't very reusable and are made of the cheap Chinese plastic. Playability: 4/5 - With all the accessories included, you can play out various camping adventures, so the playability is fairly high for a set of this size. Parts: 3/5 - Nothing too special, but there are some useful accessories. The sausage on the pearl silver frying pan is especially nice since those two parts are pretty rare these days. Price: 5/5 - Like the Buzz promo, it came free with the Daily Mirror, and it don't get better than free Lego. The bricklink prices are a different story... Overall: 3/5 - While it's not a bad set, it's certainly my least favorite Toy Story set (aside from the magnet set). It's still a very campy set and recommendable though. If you're looking for a cheap way to get a Woody and a sausage, this is the set for you, although if you didn't get this from the Daily Mirror or from a friend (like me) it might get a little pricey for you. This concludes my third and (for now) last promo review. I hope you enjoyed it. Next, I will review something bigger. You can find hi-res versions of all the pics in this brickshelf folder. Special thanks again to Dunjohn who kindly donated this promo to me! Oky and the sheriff had a great time during their camp out. It was very relaxing, until...

No, that was a different shuttle, a predecessor of the imperial shuttle.

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Oky replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
@ Halfpenguinhalflego: I don't think anything is confirmed so far. Them releasing "claasic" PotC sets before the main movie-tie-in wave in summer was just speculation based on what they did with Toy Story. -

Oky replied to Corvus's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Well, actually he didn't. You were partially right about that being Greedo since that's who he originally was, but then they retconned this issue in EU by saying it was his dad. But yeah, interesting how this connects all these characters, I agree. Anyhoo, let's get back on topic. They are now selling a hard copy of the webcomics from Season 1 for $22: LINK -

That was his dad, Greedo the Elder. I suppose it's technically possible for Greedo the Elder to appear in this series, but I wouldn't count on it. -
I'm with Vexorian on this one. I just can't see sci-fi space sets co-existing with the "modern day" spaceport sets. SP3 had a good run up to the end, but I don't think there's a lot more original stuff they could make for it. It's probably better that they stop before the sets start to become too similar.

I think many thought there was some chance for Boba to appear, and we all were hoping for it. It's one of the most interesting parts of his life after all. But Han? I don't think anybody really wants to see a kid Han, especially not in a show like this. And I think Lucas knows that, hence him having scrapped the idea before. That said, they will HAVE to show what happens to Boba and his ship. They owe us that. That's probably what she is talking about. I wouldn't be surprised if there is an episode with Aurra breaking Boba out of jail. Uhm, that wasn't Greedo. Whenever you see a Rodian, do you think it's Greedo? Are they all the same to you? You're such a racist!
