    Toy Wars

Hehe, thanks, I'm glad you all like it so much! And I have good news: I have found roles for the remaining Toy Story figs! After being attacked by a beastly stuffed animal, Buzz Lightwalker encounters the ghost of Stinky Wan Kenobi who tells him where to find a mentor. Darth Zurg's master, Darth Piggious, commands him to hunt the escaped rebels down. In order to find them, Darth Zurg hires some of the best bounty hunters, including IC(hunk)-88 and Boba Fly. Unfortunately, there is no Toy Story fig that can represent Lando. If only we had a Mr.Potatohead. He'd be perfect for the role, and I could call him Mr.PoLandohead. Oh well. Hm, that's actually a great idea! I can do the scroll, but I'm not sure if I'm skilled with sound mixing enough to combine the SW theme with "You've got a Friend in Me". The best I can do is to have the one fade into the other. I'll see what I can cook up... And don't forget the Harry Potter head representing my third favorite theme! (Although that one is just coincidence) It's AT-BE, silly! AT-BS is just, well, BS. And yeah, Boba Fly (both in name and appearance) reminds me of the old Sci-Fi flick "The Fly". I was thinking about calling him Boba Twitch, but Boba Fly just sounds better. Oh, I'm sure Harry Potter can be done easily. Like Zzz said, all these blockbuster movie franchises have similar characters. I can think of many parallels already. Perhaps I'll do that next.

    Toy Wars

In celebration of the 30th anniversary, the cast of Toy Story performs their own version of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. A long time ago, in a bedroom far, far away... It is a dark time for the Rebellion. Although the Death Ball has been destroyed, Toyperial troops have driven the Rebel forces from their hidden toy box and pursued them across Andy's bedroom. Evading the dreaded Toyperial paper-plane fleet, a group of freedom fighters led by Buzz Lightwalker has established a new secret toy box on the remote pile of Cloth. The evil emperor Darth Zurg, obsessed with finding young Lightwalker, has dispatched thousands of remote controlled vehicles into the far reaches of Andy's room... On the look-out for Toyperial forces, Buzz Lightwalker rides his Rex-Rex around the toy box. After being attacked by a beastly stuffed animal, Buzz Lightwalker encounters the ghost of Stinky Wan Kenobi who tells him where to find a mentor. Before he knew it, he was fighting against the Toyperials and their AT-BE (All Terrain Bullseye) walkers! "Sarge" Veers and his loyal Stormy Men invade the Rebels' base, forcing them to evacuate! After the Battle, Buzz Lightwalker receives training from Master Clawwwda. Darth Zurg's master, Darth Piggious, commands him to hunt the escaped rebels down. In order to find them, Darth Zurg hires some of the best bounty hunters, including IC(hunk)-88 and Boba Fly. Meanwhile, Buzz's friends Woody Solo and Lotsie, the Lots-o'-Huggin' Wookiee, try to evade the Toyperial fleet. Princess Jessia and her droids Artoo-Stretchoo and D(river)-3PO are along for the ride! But they walk right into a trap set up by the evil emperor Darth Zurg and the skilled bounty hunter Boba Fly! Buzz Lightwalker comes to their rescue and has to duel Darth Zurg, learning about their complicated relationship along the way. This is a project I started when I began to realize that the characters from my two favorite themes are shockingly similar. It wasn't long before I had found a Star Wars role for almost every Toy Story fig. I'm really happy of how they came out, and I might even make a MOC based on this some day (Star Command X-Wing anyone?). I hope you enjoyed it, and may the batteries be with you.
  3. LOL. These are pretty good. I liked the use of headlight bricks as boxing gloves. Anyone think of this before? I want a Carl's Jr. minifig now. And one of those burgers. BURGEEEEEEER!
  4. In case no one has mentioned it yet, those are custom. Seriously, how many times do you guys have to post this? Let's get back on topic! I'm sure they'll stuff the wings with FF-missiles. I hope they make the cockpit bottom heavy so that it stays parallel to the ground when you turn the wings into flight position and back. Blasphemy! But you do have a point of course. I guess some fans will never get used to this habit of TLG.
  5. My local TRU has stopped selling the Chrome Stormtrooper polybag separately because they are low on quantity. You can still get 'em for free with any Lego SW purchase, so if you still want one, go get it asap!
  6. Good review. I liked it a little better after reading your review, and after getting it last week, I must say it's a very nice set. The minifigs are great, and the speeder looks very accurate and sleek, almost like a professional MOC. It's always good to get a civilian vehicle like this once in a while. Even though it's pricey, I can recommend it. Yes, I just compared them, they are the same size. Why did you want to know?
  7. Yeah, except you can only get "The Ninja" in different colors. Those would indeed be interesting. I personally am hoping for a lime green ninja!
  8. These new screenshots and videos look good. Can't wait for it to come out. Does anyone know if it will be released on PS2? Me too. Also loved Ventress making a Yoda impression. I like him. He's not any more cartoony than any of the other figs. Well, the trailer said 2011, so I guess that's when it will come out. Yes, you do.

    Rat Award Entry

Indeed it is! And you're not just eating it, you're gobbling it up! Bon appetite!

    Rat Award Entry

Hehe, thanks. By the way, could a mod please add "TOR II" in front of the title?
  11. Oh, I see. Yes, it was the way the figs look much too small in Sid's hands and the size of the "Prize" flap that Woody crawls into in the movie that threw me off. But I can't argue with artistic interpretation. Oh, and it was KielDaMan who provided the link.
  12. Aurra Sing with the BHS? Really? That's great! Although I too would have preferred Sugi or Seripas over the stupid assassin droid, but oh well. And while Shaak Ti already makes the T6 a must-buy for me, it would be even better if it does come with Saesee Tin as well. I'm really excited about this wave now! I just wonder whether the V-wing comes with the kind of pilot from the TIE Defender or Palpy's Shuttle.
  13. Ah yes, I remember seeing pics of this from a convention (can't remember which) and that I immediately fell in love with it and was wondering where I could find better pics of it. And here it is. Thanks for posting it! This is the best Toy Story MOC out there at the moment! These are indeed great sculptures, even if they are way oversized compared to the figs. I lift my hat and hope you'll bless us with another amazing TS creation!
  14. You watch too many Disney movies. Seriously, the Atlanteans would have to be pretty stupid to have the same key for multiple locks/mechanisms. But then again, they're mutants, so who knows what they're thinking. Why not? It's probably the only thing they got left to lose. Poor Atlanteans.
  15. Hi. This is my Rat Award entry. I hope I'm not late this time. Here we see three Redcoats sitting at a bistro and eating what appears to be brownies and a chocolate covered banana. The sign on the bistro says "Ratshit's Dessertz", but the redcoat's dismissed this as "just another bluecoat error". What they don't know is that the name of this place is meant quite litterally as all the dishes are made of - you guessed it - rat excrement! Here we see Chef Ratshot working in the kitchen. Here is a side view: I hope you like it.
  16. True, but there's obviously a story arc centered around Ventress, and she's his number one assassin, so it's got to be her. Here is one theory for the Ventress plot I just thought up: Assajj does something Sidious doesn't like; Sidious orders Dooku to kill her and he does it; somehow the Nightsisters get her body and bring her back from the dead with their "witchcraft"; she takes revenge on Dooku as a ghost. Pretty weird, I know, but it's the only thing that makes sense to me based on the trailer.
  17. That's just the style of the show; the big eyes and big headress make her look younger. I'm sure she appreciates it. Even if she were to die in this season, they wouldn't show that in a trailer, genius. I'm still pondering how all that "Anakin is the Chosen One" stuff is going to play into this season. Perhaps it has something to do with Ahsoka dying? Maybe her death will make him realize the responsibilities he has or something? I don't know...
  18. Hi. I was wondering whether you're still making these. I see that you haven't even been on for a while and that the requests are piling up, but if you should return to make more, I'd appreciate it if you could have a go at my sigfig as well. It's Buzz Lightyear with a fleshie Harry Potter head (with old design) and brown hair as seen in my avatar. Thanks.
  19. A ninja with night-vision goggles? Yup, that guy is screwed. Cool little vig. Nice use of stickers too. It's interesting how well the collectable spaceman legs go with the CW torso.
  20. Probably not. They already got through the portal, so there's no use for keys anymore. Now it's likely just about looting the Atlanteans' treasure in the name of science. So I expect to see the usual golden treasure chests, gold coins, and/or diamonds. But maybe I'm wrong and there will be some new treasure-like item(s). Pearl gold fishes anyone?
  21. Comedy Central. Not sure when and where they air it in the UK.

    Star Wars

Has it been confirmed that it's just 2 mins long and uses the same animation technique as Robot Chicken or are you being stupid cynic again?
  23. Yes, I too would love to see Ventress' Fanblade starfighter with her in her new old outfit! And I wouldn't mind that hovercraft-like speeder Bane is riding, especially if it comes with a Todo 360 minifig!
  24. You also gotta love Hitler's line, "Betrachten Sie meinen Schnurbart!" which means "Behold my mustache!" I loved the last two episodes as well! I'm a cat lover, so I'm biased on Ep. 8, but it was a good episode overall. However, "A Clockwork Origin" simply takes the cake. Such a brilliantly hilarious episode centered around an ongoing controversy! It just had so many great jokes, and is definitely one of my favorites of this season! The next episode looks promising as well! I can't wait, even though it will get us one step closer to the end of (this half of) this season. Oh well.
