  1. Congrats on finding a quote that's all over the first page and discussed in the following pages. "Saber slicing" is probably the usual lightsaber attack, "long distance Jedi attacks" are the force powers and the batarang-style lightsaber throw, but what the hell "saber jumps" are supposed to be has yet to be revealed, I think. It might have something to do with the combos you can do in this game. And yes, let's hope the release stays at Fall 2010, even though we're getting awfully close to fall without having a release date yet.
  2. Lego manuals and boxes aren't the most reliable source either though. According to box ads, there was supposed to be a "Lego Space: The Videogame" and "Lego Racers: The Videogame" by now.
  3. Perhaps, but even Rex who is known to be a very dedicated clone admitted that he has had thoughts about deserting. That means that probably every clones ponders about that at some point. Maybe these loyalty issues came to light later on in the war, so the Kaminoans worked this flaw out? Who knows. Poorly misrepresented? How misrepresented would you like them to be?
  4. So what do you two think of the General Questions thread? Do you think you could index it and merge unnecessary individual question topics into it whenever they pop up? It would really help keeping the forum "clean". And I wouldn't mind if you keep all the indexing to the flickr gallery.
  5. Episode 10: The Deserter Connecting directly to the last episode, this one is about Grievous trying to find a ride off the planet he crashed on and Obi tracking him down, while Rex meets a clone who deserted the Republic Army after the Battle of Geonosis. This has some interesting themes that were already touched upon in "Hidden Enemy"; about whether a clone's thoughts are his own or those of the ones who created him and if he can make his own decisions. This also raises questions about if clones do indeed have their own thoughts, how come most of them decided to kill their Jedi generals during Order 66 when they were the closest friends they ever had? Will a clone only disobey orders when it's about himself or his brothers? How much carnage can a clone take before he snaps? Things to meditate on. That part of the episode was pretty good. The part with Grievous and Obi not so much. Grievous was even lamer than in the last episode. The only thing he did was boss Dumb and Dumber around, er, I mean Battle Droids, which was just redundant. His quick lightsaber duel with Obi at the end didn't make up for it at all, and he just gets away at the end again, rendering his presence in this episode pointless. The commando droids made an appearance too, but they weren't quite as cool as in the other episodes since they didn't manage to kill anybody. However, the fact that they almost killed Rex shows that even the toughest clone isn't invincible, which is good. Overall, it had enough action to satisfy the average viewer, along with some interesting themes, so it gets a 7/10 from me. The only really new characters are Cut Lawquane, his hot pink Twilek wife (no pun intended), and their adorable kids. Cut is basically just a clone in civilian clothes, but the others would be great to have as figs! There were some neat creatures too. Grievous could be seen riding a reek, one of the beasts that attacked Obi, Ani, and Padme in the Geonosis arena. Would be good to have, especially if it means a cheap way to get Grievous. On Cut's farm, there were also some creatures called eopies. They are kinda cute, in a skinny baby elephant sort of way. There weren't any new vehicles, but we did see yet more BARC speeders with a new paint job, and apparently they are capable of carrying at least one stretcher. A redesigned BARC speeder with stretcher attachment and wounded Rex fig would make a fine set! Another thing that would make an interesting set would be Cut's homestead. It looks like a giant boot with windows, but locations are always welcome in the Lego Star Wars line. It could come with some eopies and commando droids, and maybe one of the BARC speeders mentioned above. Lego Ships Appearing: AT-TE, Dropship, Separatist Shuttle Lego Wishlist: Lawquane family, eopies, reek, BARC w/ stretcher, Lawquane homestead
  6. Move AAT from N/O19 to O/P19 Turn Snail Tank from R/S17 to R16/17 Move Hailfire from S/T15 to S/T13 STAP on U13: Attack V12 STAP on V14: Attack V13
  7. The bakery is an excousive, and those are usually available for pre-order unlike normal sets such as the HP sets. And the sets wont come out before the second half of September. Isn't she wearing some kind of skirt? If so, that's the outline of it. Only one more (Bellatrix) until the mystery fig! Might it hold the answer to what set Svelte was talking about?
  8. Well, if you weren't sure if it's true or not yourself, why did you state it as a matter of fact in the title? It's an interesting theory, yes, and it's very possible that there will be a Lego POTC game at some point, but I don't think some fanon wiki page from years ago is anything to go by. Thanks for clarifying though, and you might want to introduce yourself here.
  9. Yes, on the Emperor it might work, but I wouldn't recommend it for Ahsoka. I tried that on Princess Leia and it didn't turn out too pretty. Yes, but mostly just pulling. I recommend using pliers to hold the chain.
  10. Is it just me or do those two look like the ones from Potter Puppet Pals?
  11. Unless you can provide us with a somewhat reliable link or convincing picture, I'm not buying it.
  12. Ooh, they have animations for the other classic sets too! But those aren't quite as good, especially the Army Men one. Could have been much more actiony. And the one for Buzz's Spaceship makes it look like Zurg and Buzz are having a picnic on the moon. Oh well. Anyway, I have uploaded the pics that I could find of the white box editions to my flickr:
  13. Yeah, same here. That list sounds so fake! Not to mention that none of the episodes sound like the confirmed story arc about Kamino, Assajj, the nightsisters, and Savage. I don't think this has been mentioned before (probably 'cause it's illegal), but you can find some neat excerpts from Season 3 right here. *waves with hand* You did not get this info from me. By the way, does anybody know what that "secret corner" of the Clone Wars mural at Celebration V was all about?
  14. You're welcome, everyone. It would be hard though to get the right gold color and right amount of speckles in order to make it look seamless. You got that trademarked, eh? It's true that the armor doesn't match any other pieces, but then again, does it need to? It's purpose is to look great on the fig, and so it does, so I personally don't care if it matches anything. Well, you can wait until prelim pics show up. I'm sure the keychain will still be around by then. It's not that easy to remove. It still takes a good yank to get it off, and it's good to have a piece cloth while doing so since pulling the shoulder piece with bare hands can be painful due to the spikes on them. Don't ask me, ask TLC. If you check the second picture, you'll see that this is what they officially call him.
  15. I agree. There's no reason for them to say that that trooper is Fordo. Fordo was only cool because he was only seen in the much more badass miniseries, and I wouldn't want them to ruin him too. No comment? Yeah, that post left me speechless too. Just kidding. Llike Jar Jar, I find her tolerable and sometimes kinda funny, but I wouldn't say that I like her.
  16. That looks pretty good, but there's still room for improvement. I don't really like how it looks like two separate houses from the outside, but I'm not sure how you could fix that. Making the round corners that connect the bedroom to the main hut into square corners might do the trick. Also, as prateek said, the interior is too bare. It could use an arm chair, a big wardrobe, one or two shelves with books and stuff, and a cupboard for dishes. A basket for Fang to sleep in would be a nice touch as well, but not necessary. And where's the toilet?
  17. Assassin Droid w/ sniper on U14: Attack V13 Move Snail Tank from Q/R17 to R/S17 Move STAP w/ Assassin Droid from T15 to U13 Move STAP w/ Assassin Droid Elite from T15 to V14 Move Hailfire from S/T16 to S/T15
  18. Thanks, KimT, those are pretty neat! Hadn't seen them before. By the way, could those who saw the white-boxed TS 1&2 sets take pics for us?
  19. I love Agents for it's cool color scheme and minifigs, but there's not a whole lot of MOCing potential in it, especially since orange and dark blue parts aren't very easy to come by. Therefore, my vote will have to go to Adventurers. The mostly tan and gray color scheme not only looks good, but is also easy to recreate in MOCs. It has some fun characters, and who doesn't love a good treasure hunt action adventure? It has both vehicles and locations, most of them based on ancient cultures, so there's tons of inspiration and MOCing potential! In fact, I think we should have an Adventurers themed month here on EB, but without any reason for it (like TLC reviving the theme) I doubt it's gonna happen. To quote Charles Muntz from Pixar's UP: "Adventure is out there!"

    The Hog's Head

At first I thought the Hogwarts Mafia discussion thread got moved here for some reason and was confused, but I was delighted to find out it's one of your MOCs. Nice work again, Matn! Your Hogsmead is coming together nicely! I especially like the details above and below the windows. Well, since the Hog's Head is a rather shady place, and the scene depicted took place at night, the black fits very well. EDIT: Oh, and congrats on getting blogged on Brothers Brick!
  21. Those kinds of threads have been bugging me lately too, so it's probably a good idea having a thread like this, although there will probably be newbies who will post "question topics" anyway, forcing KimT and Stash to merge them here all the time. The work would be worth it though as it would help keeping the forum "clean". No, that was Nien Nunb. Ten Numb was the B-Wing pilot. These kinds of questions can easily be answered by simply checking Wookieepedia.
  22. Hello there. Seeing how popular the rare Portal Emperor minifig is, many might think about getting the keychain as a cheap way of acquiring that fig. But is it worth it? The following semi-review will answer your question. The chain can be removed easily. In fact, this is the easiest keychain removal I have ever done. However, as it turns out, the helmet of the emperor has been modified to be able to fit the keychain pin. Therefore, after removal, you are left with a rather annoying gap in the helmet's fin as you can see in this side view. The good news is that the only parts that are glued together are the hips and torso. Anything else can be seperated like on the real fig. And yes, he has the back printing too, in case you were wondering. What's also annoying is that it seems to be made out of the lower quality Chinese plastic. I don't have the real fig to compare it to, but it does look a bit cheap. So is it worth getting this keychain instead of the real deal? Well, if you don't mind the quality issue and the gap in the fin, or are only interested in the head and shoulder piece or arms and legs, I'd say go for it. But otherwise you should just try to get the Portal of Atlantis set on sale. Ordering the fig from Bricklink for the high prices that it goes for there should be your last resort. I hope this was helpful to at least some of you. HAIL THE EMPEROR!
  23. Count Dooku: Attack C11 Move Assassin Droid Bike from R13 to S11 Load Assassin Droid Elite from S15 onto STAP on T15 Load Assassin Droid from U14 (3D) onto STAP on T15 Assassin Droid (1D): Attack R11
  24. I'm hoping for some nunchuks. They wouldn't need to have an actual chain, something rubbery like the handcuffs piece or the new whip would do.
  25. Well, that's disappointing. Not only did I not win anything, but I failed to support my faction resulting in its defeat as well. Oh well, it was all good fun. Congrats to the winners. There were some very funny comics and I enjoyed being part of it. On the bright side, the Redcoats outdid us by only 23 votes. Next time, victory shall be ours!
