  1. That's pretty good! I like it. It reminds me of the Republic medical stations from the Clone Wars TV show: By the way, what's up with you and SuperKalle having the same avatar?
  2. Is it OK if we just use the name of the fig as the text for the link rather than stating the name and then posting a link after it?
  3. Ah, OK, thanks. Just goes to show how little I buy from that theme. Looks like a useful part, so it's good that they put it into a SW set.
  4. Yeah, I liked Palpy's speach too, it plays very nicely into ROTS. What? Having Tan Divo be the main character would totally defeat the whole point of this episode about a young padawan learning from a wise, old master. And why make up a new jedi when we have good ol' Ahsoka to show us how irresponsible she is. Don't get me wrong, I like Divo too, but he just wouldn't fit into this episode, especially not as the main character. But I agree, we totally need droid bobby minifigs!
  5. Wow! A review already? Sweet, thanks! Looks like a good parts pack with some interesting models, and who would mind getting an extra clone and BD for their armies? I like how, while being non-canon, the vehicles look like they would fit into the SW universe. I'll definitely get one or two of these with my 33% Borders discount! Yes, they are pretty decent, but better than the BPs? I don't think so. I'd take the speederbike from the first clone BP and maybe even the one from the upcoming one over this weird, colorful S-Wing speederbike (which doesn't even have an S-shape) any day. Is that really what they call it in the book? Then why get the book? Just to have it in your collection? EDIT: Are those gray pieces holding the binoculars on the AAT new? I don't think I've seen them before.
  6. Domestication of rock monsters? Do the Power Miners know no shame? Hehe, very original and funny MOC. Good job.
  7. Yeah, but how did they get there? Like I said, they couldn't even get close to Kamino in the past.
  8. I don't get why everyone was expecting a huge plot arc out of the Kamino episode(s). We already saw the Seps breaking into the facility, killing hundreds of clone embryos, so it was pretty clear to me that they would need to be stopped by the end of the episode, or otherwise all the clones would be dead. But yeah, that third episode does sound pretty unoriginal. Hopefully it will still be different enough to be a good episode. I also hope to see some Toydarians engaged in battle. That would be funny. I wonder hoe the Seps were able to get their troops to Kamino in the first place. In Season 1, they couldn't even get past an outpost with a handful of rookies/shinies.
  9. Oops I did it again. Count Dooku: (Special Ability) Call his speeder to him and move to E11. Move Snail Tank from J15 to J14. Move Assassin Droid Bike from H16 to H14. Snail Tank (S15): (Special Ability) Attack U13 twice. STAP on V14: Attack V13.
  10. I thought WhiteFang said we are not allowed to have a separate thread for our entries. Other than that, it's a simple but nice entry. Good luck (if you don't get disqualified for this).
  11. Found the Skier and Surfer, as well as the mime, which indeed is quite easy. Still missing the stupid Cop, Spartan, and Witch. That's 11/14, so I'm catching up.
  12. I was just at the Lego Store in Downtown Disney (Anaheim) and when I asked for the minifigs, they said they were sold out and that they wouldn't get any more. I saw a box in the trash can behind them, so I must have just missed them! I also tried two Target stores nearby, but no luck. Their Halloween sections are not set up yet and I was too lazy (or too hungry) to ask them to check the stock room. Maybe I'll go back tomorrow...
  13. Yup, that's what the article said that was posted recently, wasn't it?
  14. So far I got 8/13. Still can't find the cop, skier, spartan, witch, and surfer. But I still have some leads I can follow. It's funny how some are really easy and others are really tricky, never something in between. Hehe, 'tis true, you really gotta know the subject to get that one (which I totally did, so I knew exactly where to go)! But some googling should help.
  15. I don't want to mini-mod, but this thread is getting off topic. There is a thread for discussing dream licenses in the Licensed forum. As for the initial question, I don't think it will get answered. The ambassadors have said many times that Lego does not answer any questions on future releases, which is understandable.
  16. Awesome contest! I really enjoyed the first one, and I'll definitely enter this one too! Especially Category B intrigues me. I have some questions though: Can we modify the required Series 1 minifig for category B? For example, Can we change the head in order to give it a different facial expression? Can we use a cut-out part of, say, an instructions page in our entry? Is it OK to have a stand-in for the Series 2 fig as some have already included in their entry?
  17. Thanks Batbrick and VBBN! Glad you like it too! No, I haven't, but that would definitely be a great follow-up to this! Perhaps I'll tackle it sometime. The problem is that I don't have a full set of neither of the available series and don't plan to complete them.
  18. Actually, if anyone is doing any stealing, it's Plo. The paint job design of his starfighter was borrowed from that of the Azure Angel, which in return was based on Anakin's podracer. And according to Wookieepedia, Plo's starfighter was a gift from Anakin as KielDaMan already pointed out. So there. Correct, and to use as few pieces as possible while still making it look decent so that everyone can copy the design. If I wanted it to be perfect, I would have built it from scratch. Glad you still like it.
  19. Hello there. Ever since I saw 8093 Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter, I was planning to convert it into Anakin's Azure Angel from the original (and much more epic) Clone Wars cartoon. So, after getting the set recently, that's exactly what I did, and here is the result: Here is a reference picture of the Hasbro toy: The most notable modification are the large engine air intakes at the front. What does one need air intakes like these on a space craft for? Who cares, they look cool! Other additions include wing extensions and two laser cannons on each wing. Like what you see? Want to make your own Aure Angel? Well, I figured you might say that, so I have prepared some instructions. It's easy to do and you only need 58 extra parts! So, let's get started, shall we? These are the parts you are gonna need: The first thing you need to do is to remove wedges on the wings with the laser cannons on them. We wont be needing these puny weapons anymore! Also, remove the dome of the astromech droid. Replace the Astromech head with a red one. Where the wedges were, place two parallel 1x2 plates on each wing. Insert a 1x3 plate between those two 1x2s. Now we have filled the gap the wedges had left. Next we will build the engine enhancements. Start by skewering two of the 1x1 Technic bricks on one of the long Technic pins with an axle hole at one end. Then stick the 3L axle into that hole and stick the gear on it. Also, place a gray 1x2 plate on top of the bricks. Stick another one of those long gray pins at the end and put one of the small wheels on it. Add the 2x2 plate with the pin holes at the bottom to the construction and place two parallel 1x2 plates on top of it. Then prepare the next part of the build which is comprised of a third 1x1 Technic brick with a long, black pin stuck into it and a 1x1 brick with a stud on the side stacked on top of it. Insert this construction into the pin hole on the main construction with the side-stud facing down. Turn the whole thing over and attach it to the bottom of the wing like so as seen in the following pic. You can detach the wing from the starfighter's body for this. Then stick one of those L-shaped plates onto the side-stud (which should be facing up now). Be careful to place it so that the side-stud is in between two of studs on the L-plate. Attach one of the large white wedges on top of the L-plate and place a 1x2 tile at its tip like so: Finally, reattach the wing and swing the part with the white wedge around. Repeat this build in a mirrored way for the other wing. Make sure that the edge of the white wedge matches up with that of the wing. Lastly, we'll build the laser cannons and wing extensions. Start with a 2x3 plate that overhangs the side of the wing by one stud. Next, add a black hinge on top of the overhanging two studs, and one of the laser cannons at the bottom. Then, attach a black wedge plate to the bottom of the overhanging hinge plate, add the second laser cannon, and attach a round 1x1 brick at the back of both cannons. Do the same for the other wing, and you're done! I hope this was comprehensive and helpful to you. Feel free to try modding the fin into the dark, more streamlined fin of the Azure Angel. I couldn't find a way to do it that looked good, so if you find one, I'd appreciate it if you would share it with us. Oh, and in case you were wondering, yes, unfortunately the mouth cover of the "winter gear side" of Anakin's head does show under the backside of his hair. Just imagine that he's wearing some kind of neck protector. Now all we need is Assajj Ventress' Fanblade Starfighter for the Azure Angel to chase...
  20. Move Snail Tank from J16/17 to J15/16 Move AAT from Q/R19 to R/S19 Turn Snail Tank from R14/15 to R/S15 Hailfire: Attack R11 STAP on V14: Attack V13
  21. Well, it's kinda impossible to make a 4x7 kart for a horse, and like I said, he can already "ride like the wind", even though he has only one horse power.

Alright, alright, I get it! I guess it's not as impressive the second time around, plus you need to have read the books to get some of the references. And KielDaMan's argument that the fact that Chewbagrid and the Trollpa are (sort of) human takes some of the fun away might be valid too. Oh well, I'm glad that at least some of you could still enjoy it. Well, as I said, I don't have the figs to do that, but if you do, you're more than welcome to make them and share them with us here! Actually, I'm not sure. I'd love to do an Indiana Jones one, but I have only ever gotten four sets. Avatar would be good to "warsify" too, but unfortunately only six minifigs were ever released for that theme (evil eye at TLC). There's no Lego LOTR (yet), so that's out of the question too. I do have a couple of the Batman figs, but that theme doesn't translate well to Star Wars. Perhaps I should start using characters from Lego's own themes, such as Atlantis or Agents? I'm open for suggestions. But don't say Castle, because SlyOwl already did that.
  23. Well, here he is: RC in TS Racers format! Next to him is an updated version of Chunk's racer. Someone on Flickr suggested switching the studs on the front bumper for spikes to match the ones on his back and shoulders, so I tried it out. What do you think?
  24. Well, I have never even seen WoO in its entirety. What do you say to that? Yes, like that. Though you didn't need to use the torso for the merchant. It doesn't really fit, and the point of this thread is to find uses just for the heads and hands mostly.
  25. Yeah, I was just there, and they had the Slave I. Don't think I saw the Train. But my local Borders is nuts! They have the Slave I at $95, Palpy's Shuttle at $75, Grievous Starfighter at $65, and Plo's Starfighter at $30! However, at 40% off, you still get it for a good price ($39 for GG's Starfighter for example). They also had some of the board games. The Harry Potter one was $40! That's a 33% mark-up! Didn't bother to check the others. Smooth.
