  1. Do the boardgames count? Cause I love Pirate code for all its gems and brown and gold parts. But as for "real" sets, it's definitely the new Imperial Flagship for me! The sheer detail on the interior makes it so outstanding! Wish I had the cash to get it.
  2. All-new TV-trailer! Is that the Burrows getting blasted to bits? And is that super-epic, scary, white, ghost-thing Dumbledore?
  3. No thanks. This one's between me and Jammie. This next is based on a conversation where JD asked me where I live after I had given him my full address! No. It's California! C'mon, you even looked my house up on Google Earth! And I told you I live close to Disneyland! Since when is there a Disneyland in Canada?
  4. Hm... sounds legit. I can't say I'm very excited though since City isn't the most exciting theme. But who knows, it could be good.
  5. No, of the whole set, silly!
  6. It's not bad. The motorization is a neat feature, but doesn't really add to the entry. The top looks a bit weird; it should look more like a castle tower. And what WhiteFang is referring to, I think, is that you deeplinked a video which is not allowed. If you think you can do better, go for it. I must say, I'm really loving Optimus' entries! They are original, built very well, and incorporate sci-fi elements into a past setting nicely! It's gonna be hard to beat those! In general, all the Category B entries are looking great so far! Except Yatkuu's maybe... that one is kinda awkward with that Star of David...
  7. Perhaps, but with the number and the skill of members here on EB, we'd take it to whole new level! I wonder what Kim & Stash have in store for us next month...
  8. Are you serious? I always thought it was the best Hogwarts set until this new one came around. But then again, I don't own it, so I'll have to take your word for it... If you were to read the review, you'd know that they are double sided heads.
  9. Hehe, I thought you would use this opportunity to let off your steam. I'm glad you shared your thoughts. Some interesting points there, but I think you're confused about Pre Vizsla. The one who was the DW leader in during the Mandalorian Civil War and killed Mareek was Tor Vizsla. Pre Vizsla is a different person (though from the same clan), and Mandalorian armor has always been the same, so I don't think it's so bad that they resemble Jango, although I agree that a different color, such as red, would have suited them better than blue to distinguish them as DW. And just because they said Jango was just a bounty hunter doesn't mean he wasn't Mandalorian. I mean, these are pacifists who are trying to separate themselves from their brutal past, so they'll argue anything that might connect them to mercenaries like him.
  10. Hehe, good one, JD! I think you do. Both you and Squiz! It's not like it's called the "jerk-off thread". And such I shall deliver!
  11. Yes, in fact we encourage you to - that's the whole point in making these public!
  12. Hello there. Most of you will remember my ice-cube-tray-winning Whack-A-Fig II entry where I whacked Jammiedodger for dissing the Lego Toy Story figs (again, thanks for all the votes!): And as you might remember, Jammie responded with a triple-entry where he mocks my love for Mace Windu and all the highly detailed recent remakes of old minifigs, and attacks me with Ninja Chicks. These two entries were based on conversations we have had via PM, and we enjoyed building the vigs so much, we wanted to keep going. But instead of just doing it for our own amusement, we thought we'd share these Mock-MOCs in this thread for you to enjoy as well. Most of them will be based on in-jokes, but we will provide quotes so that you can get the joke as well. Please keep in mind that none of these are meant to be offensive and are just part of a friendly competition. We hope you'll like them, and we look forward to your feedback. That said, let's get whacking! I'll start. This is a little scene I threw together after Jammie told me that he was too scared to watch the Weeping Angels episode from Doctor Who (you can watch the scene here). Doctor Jammie and the Weeping TS-figs! While traveling through time the Lego themes, Doctor Jammie, the eleventy-billionth doctor, comes across a particularly creepy minifig form - the Toy Story figs! When unobserved, they move extremely fast, and feed off of your soul by "toyifying" you! How long will Dr. J be able to keep his eyes from blinking? Now it's Jammie's turn.
  13. Episode 12: The Mandalore Plot Fans wanted Mandalorians, and that's what they got in this episode. However, as always, good things come at a price. The catch? They are pacifists, not the badass warriors EU made them out to be, at least most of them. The episode starts out with Obi Wan meeting with Satine, who just happens to be his old love interest. They take a walk through cubist Mandalore (the Mandalorians are serious about their art - even the friggin trees are cubes!) and coincidentally become witnesses of a terrorist attack from Death Watch, the handful of Mandos who still believe in the ways of kicking a$$. The guy responsible tries to run away, but Obi tracks him down, so he commits suicide, which is pretty stark for a kids show like this. Obi and Satine then go to Mandalore's moon to find out more, and indeed, they find Death Watch's hideout. After they save each other from getting killed, Obi has a lightsaber duel with the DW leader, Governor Pre Vizsla. They are forced to leave, and the DW gets away. This episode was pretty good. The bickering between Obi and Satine was a little too much, but it had some good action, and the scenes of the terrorist attack, the guy jumping off the balcony, and Vizsla cold-bloodedly shooting one of his men because he failed to kill Kenobi gave the story a serious tone. 8/10 This episode had some interesting new stuff. One of them is the Mandalorian shuttle. It kinda looks like a Jedi Interceptor, but much bigger, with flat, rotating wings. This would probably make a nice swooshable set. Also, there are the Mandalorian speederbikes which are quite different from other swoops we have seen so far and remind me a lot of the ones from the Jak & Daxter videogames. It's practically confirmed that we are getting one in the upcoming Mandalorian Battle Pack, so that's something to look forward to. Here's a (rather blurry) close-up with Obi Wan on it. Then, of course, there is Dutchess Satine Kryze, Obi's ex-girlfriend. She's kind of a silly character, but she does have an interesting outfit. Apparently, we are already getting Death Watch Mandalorians in the upcoming Battle Pack, but it doesn't include their leader, Governor Pre Vizsla. He would be nice to have with his neat cape and cool stolen Darksaber. I wonder if TLG would use a trans-black bar for this one? There were also a couple of Mandalorian royal guards that looked like medieval knights, but they weren't of any significance. Another thing of interest is the Mandalorian architecture. The cube-based design practically screams to be turned into Lego. It's unlikely we'll get a whole city like this, but perhaps we could at least get a small playset of Satine's throne room. Lego Ships Appearing: Obi Wan's Jedi Starfighter Lego Wishlist: Mandalorian shuttle and speederbike, Satine, Death Watch troops, Pre Vizsla, Mandalore playset. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to have some Boba Fett Original Space Rum. Next: Panic on the space Titanic!
  14. What are these "trailors" you keep talking about? And keep in mind that despite the solid date, Amazon isn't always to be trusted. Remember Harry Potter: Years 1-4?
  15. Agreed. Even if I were as desperate as you to get this set, I'd much rather get this along with Quidditch Match from S@H instead of paying the extra $20 to TRU just for getting it a couple of days earlier.
  16. Airstrike I10. Move Snail Tank from J14 to J13. Move Assassin Droid Bike from H14 to F12. Move Hailfire from S/T13 to S/T11. STAP on V14: Attack V13.
  17. Man, now that I have seen this set in all its glorious detail, I want it more than ever. My bank is gonna hate me... Anyway, thanks for this nice early review! The minifigs and printed animals are great, and the castle itself seems to be the best Hogwarts set yet! The only things I don't like about it are the lack of Ron and the steep price. Other than that, it's great, and I'm really glad the theme is back, even if it's only for one wave. Looks like some student is getting an F for spelling.

    Uglys.

If you take a search on Brickshelf or Flickr for them, you'll find a bunch. There was even a contest to build Uglys on FBTB a while ago. But why would TLC produce Uglys officially when they are made of parts from sets they are already selling? Just buy two sets (for example X-Wing and Vader's TIE), build them, then take the wings off of the one and put them on the body of the other, and boom, you got a semi-official Ugly.
  21. Yeah, I've never been a fan of villains who abandon their plans right after the first failed attempt either. Agreed. I don't think that's what's happening. As Darth Jar Jar said, we see him coming out of a "squid ship" too, so I think they're just attacking different parts of Tapioca City at the same time. Either way, the mystery of how they got passed the orbital defenses remains a mystery. Yeah, because Yoda already did that for him. Thank god.
  22. It's OK, we're not as strict as KimT & Stash. Besides, that's the whole point of this thread, to see what we can expect or want to see in future sets. Probably not. We're not even half-way through, and we don't wanna rush it. But I'll have the next review up soon.
  23. I finally found the first white-box edition of an Toy Story Classic set, 7590 Woody and Buzz to the Rescue, at my local TRU! Hopefully they'll stock up on the white-box editions of the other old sets too. I'll make a review soon.
  24. We've been over this, so why reply to a post from half a year ago? And in case you didn't know, brickipedia usually can't be trusted. Then click the button to get rid of it. Also, you might wanna watch your punctuation. I think what you posted is old info, but thanks anyway. And yes, that last line in that mini-article was a good one. Gotta love the GameInformer humor.
  25. That's pretty good! I like it. It reminds me of the Republic medical stations from the Clone Wars TV show: By the way, what's up with you and SuperKalle having the same avatar?
