  1. Yeah, the translator I used translated "Heroica" into "White Lady", "Nathuz" into "Night Shift", and "Fortaan" into "Loses", and it didn't even have translations for the other two words. They must mean something, we probably just can't find the correct translation for them. Can't you ask that person to send them to you (or me)? Thanks for the info. I have some more questions about the doors though: Did they come in one of the larger or smaller sets? Are the doors brown? Did they have any texture? What color were the frames?
  2. Yeah, I don't see why one would think this is a palm tree either. Either way, Banana trees do look similar to palm trees, so the resemblance isn't a bad thing. No. In fact, this is the first time I heard of them. They do sound interesting though. What do the names translate to? Can't wait to see pics! Do you think you can link to them? Those microfig doors sound intriguing.
  3. Got myself some 2011 sets today: Ninja Ambush, Clone BP, and Mando BP. Some pretty neat sets! Highly recommended!
  4. Maybe he means the V-19 Torrent.
  5. Thanks. Haven't you looked at any of the references I provided? Yes, Kingsley looks good, but the CW style looks strange next to the other figs. I wish I had Seso. I already tried making the walls more interesting with the striped wall paper and the lamp, and the fireplace was on the wall that I left out. Yes, I only have two of the new Harrys, plus the one I use for my Sigfig. And as I said, I was looking for something to do with the many yellow ones I have. Usually I prefer Fleshies too though. Yeah, I think that's what TLC was going for, and for what it is it works well, but unfortunately it's not very useful for MOCs. Because I don't have it, sadly. I don't think it works too well for Lupin anyway. It's just too... wavy. And I couldn't find a yellow head with red/brown facial hair AND scars across the face.
  6. Exactly, that's why I'm assuming it will be Harry. I don't think it will be Harry in a tux though since that would be kinda boring. And Albert Runcorn would be an odd choice in my opinion. It will probably be something more exciting than that so that people want to buy the book, and the Tri-Wizard Tournament versions of Harry would make most sense to me, even though we already got them a few years ago. But I could be wrong of course. Yeah, that seems to be the prelim pic with the water mark photoshopped out of it. I don't think you're allowed to post that here.
  7. Nice entry. The colors fit very well and it looks very good and accurate from the outside. The interior is nice too, but it looks a little empty. If I were you, I would have used more <insert that tiresome argument> pieces in order to keep your piece count lower, especially on the walls. That way you could have made the interior a lot better, but I can understand if you don't have the right pieces. I really like the drunk Dementor, especially since it looks like he's burping. Good luck!
  8. If those are USD prices, then yes, the dragons will probably be $20 like the Ice one we have now, but I'm sure the shrine wont be more than $20 since it's a much smaller set than Skeleton Bowling. In fact, it looks like it's around the size of Skull Motorbike, so I'm hoping it will be $15, but we'll see.
  9. What does the possibility of the theme have to do with whether it would sell or not? Is it possible? Sure! Anything is possible if you believe and wish upon a star! Would it sell? Yes, like crazy, especially when sold at Disneyland parks! Is it likely? Probably not. Despite the popularity and timelessness of Disney Classics, it's just not reasonable for TLC to make sets for several old cartoons at once. Firstly, they are old movies, so there's not currently a high demand for toys of them, and secondly, TLC would have to make a ton of new molds to make the characters accurate, not to mention the locations. I mean, just look at the current Disney themes. If they even made half as many new molds for the Classics as they did for Toy Story, PoP, Cars, and PotC just to sell one set of each movie, they would go bankrupt. So, they would either have to raise the prices for this theme through the roof or cut back on accuracy, which in turn people off and would probably not be approved by Disney to begin with. As much as I'd love to have sets based on my favorite Disney Classics, I just don't see it happening.
  10. Ah, thanks for clearing that up. That makes more sense.
  11. Watch your Ps & Qs I think The Brickster gave it to me to tell me to be careful about the wording of my posts after our recent misunderstanding about my badly worded comment on one of his MOCs.
  12. Hi, everyone. This is my next contribution to Harry Potter Month! Anyone who has a number of Harry Potter sets probably has an army of Harrys. I own over twenty HP sets, and I am no exception. So, I have been wondering what I could do with all my Harrys, and this is what I came up with: a recreation of the Seven Potters scene from the last movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1. Harry's friends disguise themselves as Harry through the use of Polyjuice Potion in order to act as decoys. ( to watch the scene.) Here's a reference pic of the scene: Fred & George: "Wow, we're identical!" From left to right, the decoys are George Weasley, Fred Weasley, Mundungus Fletcher, Fleur Delacour, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. A side view. Hermione is holding the Polyjuice Potion as she was the last one to drink it. The real Harry Potter looking at... himself. Top view: The scene without the Potters. It's very plain, but it was just an empty room in the movie too, so there. Who are those people in the back, you ask? They are custom Order of the Phoenix members who were present in this scene too. From left to right: Arthur Weasley, Remus Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks, and Kingsley Shacklebolt. Unfortunately I don't have any other brown head that would fit Kingsley. It's very simple, but I hope you like it. I suppose this could be my entry for the Winter Break contest, but I think I can do better than this. But if I can't, I'll at least have this MOC as a back-up entry.
  13. Wow, you took my post completely the wrong way. I was merely trying to understand what is going on in your MOC and provide some criticism. I never meant any offense and am sorry if I sounded rude. I should have worded my post better. I see. Thank you for clarifying that. Perhaps it's just me, but yes, I was very confused about who was supposed to battle who and just didn't get what the point of the turning platforms was. Now it makes sense to me. The turning platforms do indeed add some nice playability to this MOC and fit into the Ninjago theme (which seems to be all about spinning) very well. Hm, I figured so, but how do they get to it when they win? Do they have to climb onto the roof, or do they perform some kind of super-ninja-jump and grab it? I would have located the katana a little lower while leaving the stickered piece up there as sort of a sign. But perhaps you intended it to be a sort of final test for the winning ninja to figure out how to claim his prize? You could lay the tile onto the floor underneath it so that it looks like fell down. Or maybe just try another angle. Yes, I have, but since this is intended to be a Ninjago MOC, I thought it might be a little more fitting use the black-red-white color scheme of the Ninjago sets. Just my opinion. Excuse me, but how was that an insult? I was simply asking why you choose to present your MOCs that way as it is something I have been curious about. I know that photo-editing an intro-pic can be time-consuming as I do that too sometimes, but why not present the introductory image together with the others? I'm not asking you to change your ways, just trying to understand. Perhaps it's a little too late for that, but may I now ask if there is any interior? And if so, may we please see a picture of it? Again, I apologize if I came across rude, it was absolutely not my intention. I will be careful if I ever comment on one of your topics again.
  14. Hi, I'm poor. Oh wait, you say your name is Rich. My bad. Welcome to EB!
  15. It looks nice, but on closer inspection, there seem to be some flaws. For one thing, what's the point of it? Why are the ninjas spinning in a circle, and what are they battling? Some explanation would be nice. Also, what's with that little shrine on the roof? I like the technique you used for the stairs, but it's weird how the last step seems to be missing. And despite the use of the Ninjago figs, spinners, and promo set, this still feels a lot more like a MOC for the old ninja theme due to the color scheme and flags. And why do you always provide only one pic of your creations? It looks like there might be some nice interior in that building on the left, but we can't see it.
  16. If you think the assassination didn't make sense, how is that fantastic writing? And why does everyone like Dooku's PJs so much? They didn't even look all that much different from his usual costume. There's no question about it that this episode seems great in comparison to what we've gotten so far in this season, but it's still not a very good episode. However, you're right that it was nice to see an episode from a villain's POV. I hope we see more of that, especially with Grievous!
  17. Those were from the Nuernberg and New York Toy Fairs. Yes, it would be great if the Knight Bus had a new Sirius. It would also be great if it actually had a driver this time around.
  18. Yeah, if there was anything else known, you'd probably know about it too as it would have been discussed already. I'm sure they'll make another Star Wars short film like Quest for R2 or Bombat Bounty later this year. And I don't know if you got the memo, but Bionicle is dead. Did you mean "non-Hero-Factory"?
  19. I guess the invisibility doesn't effect lightsaber blades. They mostly just got invisible to get into his home undetected anyway, and they did kinda want him to see the lightsabers so that he thinks it's Jedi that are attacking him, so it's not that dumb. I do agree with everything else you said though. That assassination attempt was indeed poorly executed. I don't even think they ever attacked him all at once which I'm sure would have at least injured him. The fact that we knew all the way through that Dooku can't die didn't help either. The episode was OK since we finally got some good action again and most of the episode had a nice dark mood, but the plot holes and predictability dragged it down a bit. Oh well, hopefully the next episodes will be better.
  20. Judging by the prelim box art, yes, that list sounds about right.
  21. Didn't we already know that there is metal in the spinners since the first reviews which said the spinners are really heavy? It's good to see confirmation of that though, I guess. Not music album, audio-play. It's probably the Ninjago movie voice-overs with narration.
  22. Thanks for the comments, everyone! Yeah, I know. Trust me, I tried working around that, but I really wanted to use that bendy piece to create a nice round rim, and those clip-bricks were the only thing that seemed to be able to hold it like that. I tried giving it a more flowing look with those cheese-grater pieces, but only with limited success. The link you gave is the same one I provided, and it clearly says Swamp Speeder, so I don't see your point. 8106 Aero Booster. And I ask: Who cares? Airboats are awesome. Put 'em into the SW universe, add some extra engines and glowy parts, and bam, you got a pretty cool vehicle! Yeah, I guess his belly is the main part that makes him too large, but unfortunately TLC doesn't make smaller radar dishes. Unfortunately not, otherwise I would have provided that pic already. You're welcome to send me one so I can do it though. Agreed! We totally need a new Jabba's Palace complete with Rancor, monkey-lizard, and printed Gamorean Guards, but that's a discussion for another thread...
  23. You're welcome. After I saw CF's comment about Filch, I just had to end it this way. I will let someone else adj the next duel though. Perhaps you should send him a PM rather than bumping the thread. Unfortunately there don't seem to be a lot of players left in this game.
  24. Walter Kovacs VS. Ollivander Dippet Round 3 Walter_______________________________Ollivander Protego - 0____________________________Low - 0 Protego - 0____________________________Sectumsempra Mid - 0 High - 0_______________________________Mid - 1 Crucio - 0_____________________________Expecto Patronum - 0 Protego - 0____________________________High - 0 Health: 4____________________________Health: 1 Ollivander tried hitting his opponent with a couple of spells, but Walter blocked both of them. However, the third one hit its target. Walter didn't like that, so he attempted to put the Cruciatus curse on Dippet, but the Gryffindor canceled the curse with another patronus. At the end of his strength, Ollivander tried shooting one more spell at Walter's face, but it too got blocked by the Ravenclaw. The spell bounced off of his shield and hit a knight's armor, sending it crashing onto the floor. Alarmed by all the racket, Argus Filch came running down the stairs. He paused and stared around the hall with a shocked expression on his face. His eyes wandered from the fallen armor to the exploded plant pot, over to the muddy floor, and back to the two duelers. "By Merlin's beard, are you insane?" he yelled. "Both of you, clean this mess up immediately! With no magic! If only I could whip the snot out of you, if only I could..." He walked off, muttering angrily, while Mrs. Norris stayed to supervise the cleaning. Walter and Ollivander gave each other angry looks and shuffled off to get some cleaning equipment. Walter was happy he won, but they were both still the unluckiest students of the school. Congrats, Walter! Good job! Too bad, CF, but at least you didn't get K.O.ed and didn't let Walter leave this match unharmed. Please update your profiles now.
  25. Nice shot, Masked, even if it's a tad blurry. Very chilling. I got another one as well. Remember Clone O'Patra's comments about what the new Harry is smiling about? I think I have the answer. Draco: "My bat smells funny." Harry: "That's because it's not a bat, hehe."
