How do you know? Just because someone wrote it on Brickipedia? Huw called them "new sets", so I don't think that he means Duplo.
-
I'm kinda hoping it will be a George Lucas fig. Haven't you seen the pics? A lot. EDIT: Better pic
-
More news from Brickset! According to Huw, the advent calendar includes "mini models from the entire galaxy and 8 minifigs". Only one of those figs is new, but it's supposedly the best one. He also confirms that Savage and Maul's horns are a soft-plastic head gear which blends in with the head pretty well. That pic of Savage does look a bit weird, but I guess that's because it's a computer rendition. I'm sure it will look better in real life. His lightsaber isn't great, but at least we get a decent symmetrical hilt. It's generic enough to be used for both him and Maul and in MOCs.

Yes, but it's invisible, so unless they make a boat completely made out of trans-clear parts, I doubt that that's the set. He does have a "Mermalair" though (a Batcave parody), so that would be my guess. Could be a neat set. Not so crazy about Glove World though.

Huw over at Brickset confirmed that the humans indeed wear a new kind of blue. Unfortunately, he couldn't confirm whether the visors are trans-clear or not.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion

What rock have you been living under? Check out this and this thread. The rest are just City figs, except for the last two in the fourth row who are Jake Raines from Pharaoh's Quest and the Kingdoms princess. -
No, it could be any character, at any time, at any place (except Hogwarts). Therefore, I'd suggest you take out a chair and switch R & H with Dumbledore.
-
Doesn't it? The fact that you adjust the clock with the buttons on his chest makes it even cooler! That would be great, but I doubt it. However, this did give some hope that the rumors of a Lego TS videogame are true. Probably the same as the other clocks, even though these are a bit bigger. That's what they cost on Firebox anyway.
-
Wow, very nice entry! Very clever to build it in microfig scale, and the whiteness of it gives it that certain surreal feel. But why did you include Ron and Hermione instead of Dumbledore? I think it would have been more interesting if you would have made a micro-scale Platform 9 3/4 with a micro Hogwarts Express, but that's just me.

OMG! Woody and Buzz alarm clocks! Right now they're only available for pre-order on the UK site Firebox (click the pics for links), but hopefully they'll be released here as well!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion

Sure, but just looking epic is not everything. They need to BE epic, so hopefully we do see them in action at some point. That's one of the flaws in this show. They seem to care more about visuals and fanservice and less about actual storytelling. Not if you get one of the "Guidettes" from Jersey Shore to play her. The image is old news (we have already seen the whole scene) but thanks for the article. -
Like Hermione would say: "Haven't you been paying attention in History of Magic?" "You all know, of course, that Hogwarts was founded over a thousand years ago - the precise date is uncertain - by the four greatest witches and wizards of the age. They built this castle together, far from prying Muggle eyes, for it was an age when magic was feared by common people, and witches and wizards suffered much persecution." -- Professor Binns (CS) So, the answer is yes.

Ahem. Back on topic: The Star Tours in Florida has been announced to re-open May 20th: LINK Wiki- and Wookieepedia say that the one in California will relaunch on the same date, but I have yet to see official confirmation of that. Wouldn't it have been more epic to relaunch it on May the fourth?
-
Great! Maybe now he'll even be able to spell Terminator correctly. (Sorry, Legonater, I just still can't believe you named yourself after a movie you haven't even seen and misspelled it. No offense.) September 27 to be exact. At least that's what Amazon says.
-
As in "listen to Artanis, he's smarter than you, Mr. Legonater." They're also selling each trilogy separately for $69.99 each ($44.99 on amazon).

Yeah, the hair and clothes were different, but I don't think the faces changed. Speaking of different looks, I just found this artwork on Wookieepedia which shows what a live-action Ahsoka could look like. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion

Wow, a pic already? Sweet! These look great. Not as amazing as Series 4, but still very good. I might be the only one here, but I think I'm looking forward to Sherlock Holmes the most. He seems to come with a new, printed hat mold, a new reasonably-sized magnifying glass, and a great torso print! I hope he has a pipe too, but I'm not holding my breath. The fact that we get a British royal guard in the same series makes it even better, providing us with the figs to make a MOC about Holmes solving the case of the lost crown jewels! The gladiator and cavewoman look good too. And am I the only one who is excited for the first official bowler hat? Sure, it's blue and has a flower on it, but it makes it very possible that we'll get one in black very soon, possibly even in the same series! Oh, and yay for Lego pie! -

Yes, I agree. Like a tall scary dude once said: "Don't underestimate the power of the Dark Side." His hatred is probably what makes up for his lack of training. And him fighting Anakin and Obi is like a big wrestler with a club fighting against two fencers. No matter how well-trained Obi and Anie are, Savage's brute force is too much for them and something they haven't really encountered before. Next time, they'll probably be more prepared. I think it's less a matter of impossibility and rather one of it being very, very gimmicky. Yes, that was indeed quite pathetic. But I guess it strengthens the view of Savage as a "mindless animal". Visions and force-ghosts aren't the same thing, so I think it's OK. I think Jedi have visions of their old masters all the time. -
Good job, Geertos! The cellar looks great! I especially like that close up shot which looks like it's lit by a wand. You didn't have to modify your entry so much to include it though. I think you could have just added it underneath it, kind of as if you can see below the ground, but this definitely works too. The stairs look good now too, as does the interior. However, I hope you can forgive me for repeating myself, but I think the space above the sign still looks a bit empty, and there could still be some more shelves with candy in the shop. Those would be easy fixes, so you wont go over the piece limit. Just take out some of the bricks and replace them with a window and some inverted slopes which reach into the inside to work as shelves. Oh, and if you want to make it more clear that the Hypnodisc is a liquid inside a container, you could place it inside a Technic wheel that is just a tad larger than the disc to make it look like it's in a kettle. Then your entry will be about perfect! Good luck! PS: Looks like those kids on the second floor are gonna get in trouble for tipping that bowl of candid fruit.

Agreed. For me, BB wasn't a very good movie whereas TDK was quite enjoyable. Nah, that wouldn't make any sense. Bane has always worked alone, or at least most of the time. Who isn't? Hehe, yeah, I guess it would. Alfred rocks! Yikes! You should get a keyboard that is big enough for your penguin-like hands, The Penguin! I think it's because he used to be such a fruitcake in the first Batman shows and movies. Plus the first Robin was kind of a Dick towards Batman (See what I did there? ), even though he's pretty cool as Nightwing. And another incarnation of Robin tried to kill Batman... Ever since I saw Teen Titans, I have great respect for him though. He's also pretty good in Young Justice, even though he seems to be the comic relief in that show. I for one am still hoping for a CGI Batman movie in the caliber of the Arkham Asylum/City and DCUO cinematics.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion

Well, the episode was alright, even though it was pretty predictable up to the end. Some nice action again. However, the ending was disappointing. I really think Dooku should have killed Assajj. Why didn't he order the droids to shoot all cannons at her pod or have Vulture Droids pursue it? I really don't want to see another episode with her because we all know she wont get her revenge, no matter how many times her Mother tells her she will. Also, why did Obi and Anakin leave the ship without looking for Dooku? Couldn't they sense him? And how the hell did they survive getting crushed by a platform? It didn't look like they caught it with the force. That last bit was intriguing. I don't think Maul is really alive though since Filoni said he is against bringing him back in the last commentary which was the whole point of creating Savage. I think he'll appear just like Qui Gon, as a force ghost. Although it would be questionable how he learned to become one. Perhaps the witches taught him that? Speaking of Qui Gon, I think he looks pretty good. More accurate, in fact, than most CW characters, and with Neeson's voice, he's probably the most true-to-the-movie character in the show. That's my opinion anyway. At least he doesn't look as ugly as in the Clone Wars miniseries! What? Why would Mother Talzin do anything for Maul? Yeah, me too, even though I don't know much about them. Since ARC Troopers seem to be just regular clones with promotions in this show, they are the only hope we have at some cool elite clones. -
You need to upload your pics somewhere else and then deeplink them.

Thanks. No, they're from The Dueling Club. Thanks. Yeah, since this was supposed to be a movie set, it needed to be as little cluttered as possible.

And one more MOC for Harry Potter month! This time it's the library of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Located on the third and fourth floors of Hogwarts Castle, it's a giant treasure trove of knowledge for the students and faculty of the school. Hermione Granger is known to frequent this part of the school quite often. I made this a long time ago for a brickfilm project that never got finished, a complete adaption of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Brick - What was I thinking! I dug it up recently because I need the parts, so I thought I'd share it before I take it apart. Here it is: Let's take a closer look, shall we? Hermione reports her findings to her friends while Oliver Wood is reading the latest issue of the Quibbler. But what is Draco Malfoy doing in the Library? Surely he must be lost. Or could he have snuck into the Restricted Section? Judging by the look on his face, he's up to no good as usual... Meet Madam Irma Pince, the librarian. Here's a reference pic: That's all there's to it, actually. I hope you like it. Click here to be magically transported to the Brickshelf folder with all the images in it (once the Ministry of Magic has approved it).

Hm, interesting. Yes, Bane always seemed more like a high-level henchman rather than an actual villain to me too. Plus all Bane fights end the same way: Bats gets the crap beaten out of him until he finally remembers to cut the tube on Banes neck/wrist. Seriously though, I too have faith in Nolan, so hopefully he will emphasize Bane's intelligent side rather than his strength, having him discover Batman's secret identity. No offense, The Penguin, but if Nolan pulls it off well, I think I prefer Bane over Penguin. So, does this disprove the rumors of Talia being in it?
