I haven't seen Bob's Burgers yet, but it does look alright. And yes, Home Movies is kinda overlooked. I had a hard time understanding the humor of it at first and steered away from it for a while, but after a couple of episodes, I quite liked it. Now, let's not exaggerate - we all know Avatar: The Last Airbender had the best animation of the last decade or ever! One other new cartoon I like is God, The Devil, and Bob. The premise is that God is disappointed in the world and wants to destroy it, but he gives it one last chance by choosing a random person (Bob) to show him it's worth saving, but Bob isn't exactly prophet material. The humor of it is quite charming and it appeals non-Christians as well. By the way, does anyone know when we'll get new episodes of the Avengers?

Not necessarily. The beard of a normal Santa would cover that part up, and then there's always the undershirt excuse. And by the way, he looks more like the Grinch to me. OK, so let's summarize: There are rumored to be 8 minifigs, and six of them are known. We also know that there are seven mini-models, so that means that there are still two unknown minifigs (although we know that they aren't new) and at least seven other models. I think the TIE might be packaged together with another model since it's so small, possibly the Falcon. Speaking of which, I really hope the radar dish on the Falcon will be the printed one from the keychain. That would make the model look much better. In fact, I agree with others here that all of the models would really benefit from stickers, but they aren't necessary IMO.

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars

Oh, I see. But why didn't you post them then, and how did you get them anyway? -
Which is your favourite upcoming Lego minifigure in 2011?

Is it just me or is it kinda sad that we got Sugi in the winter wave rather than the summer wave? She would have been a much better fig if she had the Zabrak head gear that the new Maul and Savage have. Here's to hoping she'll be re-released with actual horns some day, even though it's unlikely. Anyway, my vote goes to Shaak Ti as well. I've been waiting for a minifig of her for quite some time now, and she turned out beautifully! -
I believe he's referring to the human faction in general. Like the MIB, they're an organization with hi-tech weapons who fight invading aliens. I personally wouldn't really compare the two though.

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars

Cool, thanks for the links! Have you looked at the other videos in that channel? They have lots of other cutscenes from the game Geonosis Arena 1 2 3 4 Jedi Crash 1 2 3 4 Blue Shadow Virus 1 2 3 Duel of the Droids 1 2 3 4 They seem to be somewhat prelim though. The Vulture Droid's head looks all weird and for some reason Jar Jar has Nadahr's torso. They seem to have cut Jedi Crash quite short. Anakin doesn't even get injured, and it goes from the crash straight to the defending of the village. Looks like Obi Wan isn't a big fan of stickers either. I wonder if you will have to fight Goldie as Artoo. -
On Brickset. Very funny.

It's "trailer"! And yes, the March 25 date seems pretty official now. -

Yes, those cutscenes sure are delightful. And I think they're integrating the summer wave designs into the game. Just look at Eeth Koth; he looks just like the upcoming fig (aside from the eyes of course). By the way: New Trailer! -
Yeah, I certainly wouldn't want that either as I'm not a big fan of overly powerful heroes such as Supes (unless the villains are equally powerful, like in the Avengers or the original CW). I just feel like he's being kicked around a little too much for who he is, but I don't really want him to outshine the others either. And yes, The Avengers intro is easily one of the best of all time. I usually skip intros, but I just can't get enough of that song! I really wish they'd release the full version for download. By the way, the Avengers website is pretty cool too. You can make your own ID card, and they have an Avengers version of Angry Birds! "Avengers, assemble!"

Why is everyone about Malfoy? He's only in one other set (unless you count previous versions), and you can always just keep his head turned to the mask side and pretend he's a generic Death Eater. I think this set will be around $50.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion
Oky replied to Corvus's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Maybe at some point, but these are most likely the Felucia episodes. -
I for one like the Frigate. The first one seemed to have a lot of Technic showing, but this one doesn't. I too hope that it will have a better interior though. It's not ruined. It's just preliminary.

Hm, not so sure about that Ultimate McQueen... It looks a little blocky... But the fact that it comes with Guido is great! Can't wait to see which characters the other Ultimate Build sets come with! And I'm totally getting Flo's Cafe now! All those characters and new parts...
-
I knew it! The pods are connected to the engines by trans-clear Technic beams! And the power couplings are pink! And Anakin does have goggles! Woohoo!
-
I don't wanna jump to conclusions, but maybe it's because TLC is planning to release her fanblade starfighter from the scene where she does wear that outfit and didn't want to make another outfit for this speeder set which already includes two other new minifigs.

To me this looks like both a nice addition to the Hogwarts castle and a good parts and figs pack. It's good to get a new Lupin, Neville, and Goyle, and Sprout is welcome as well of course. It's indeed a bit strange that Harry is wearing a uniform, but we can get him in his casual clothes in other sets (probably including the Knight Bus) so it's not bad to get an extra Gryffindor torso. Yes, I believe you're right about the globe, but where do you see new uniforms? Shouldn't be too long 'til we see pics of the other sets too...
-
I'll pass. Unless you really want Mack, this set has nothing special to offer. And yes, those tools look kinda strange there with no pit crew to use them. Thanks a lot for the pic though!

Yes, it's quite a good show. It's not as good as Spectacular Spiderman or The Avengers (which is awesome by the way) but the animation and character development are pretty outstanding, especially by today's standards. I don't like the emo Superboy though. He barely seems to have any superpowers (compared to his "father" anyway) and his antisocial attitude really annoys me. Kid Flash could be better too in my opinion, but maybe that's just me.

*Tries hard not to be jealous* Congrats, buddy! And Happy Birthday!
-
Thanks guys! I got my presents on the evening before my B-day. I only got one Lego set, the Bounty Hunter Gunship, but it's at least something. I also got lots of $$$ and a sweet Boba Fett Hoodie! I guess you could say my birthday this year is bounty hunter themed. We spent the rest of the evening playing the Lego Hogwarts boardgame, and tomorrow we'll go out for dinner at one of my favorite restaurants. Sure I do! But it might take a while until I get 'em done because I'm quite busy these days. You're right about that! That's friggin' sweet! Thanks! To the birthday cake - and beyond!

The only thing that you created of your own in that picture, if anything, are the two misfits, but even those can hardly be considered MOCs as they're just custom minifigs. But whatever. Who am I to judge the decision of the mods. By the way, what is the guy on the lower right looking at?
-
I kinda like what I'm seeing on that advent calendar picture. I like the micro models, and the figs aren't too bad either. They certainly are a random bunch (Gunray - Who woulda thought?), but it could have been worse. For instance, I'm glad the clone is the elusive clone pilot rather than the generic trooper and the BD is the new printed BD pilot rather than a regular one since we can easily get the regular grunts in much more affordable sets. I could have done without Chewie and Gunray, but oh well. I'm still hoping the new Han will be in it too. And I know that KimT told us to stop this discussion, but I'd like to throw one more suggestion for the mystery fig out there: A Santa with a SW costume. It fits Huw's description: It's a character we have seen before, but not in the SW movies/books/shows/games, and with a new outfit. Not sure how that could work, but it's a possibility.

Very cute picture, but since this is not a MOC, wouldn't it have been better to post in the Licensed Photography thread? Anyway, I hope to see more Toy Story pics like this!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion
Oky replied to Corvus's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Because they have nothing to do with the clone wars and instead introduce confusing elements into the SW universe. There are still so many stories left to tell about the war, but instead they are wasting their (and our) time with this weird story about some strange family of neutral force wielders. No one complained about the action, or at least I didn't. I thought the Nightsister trilogy was pretty neat despite its flaws as it was indeed taking a step into the right direction. Maybe that's partly the reason why I'm so disappointed in the Mortis trilogy. Yeah, "just"... except these are direct reenactments of scenes from ROTS. If Anakin sees himself killing younglings, betraying his master, and choking his wife, wouldn't he do anything to stay on the light side of the force and prevent those events? If these were just vague signs of the future like in the original CW series, that would have been fine, but this is too detailed. Oh well, I'll try not to judge the episode before I've seen it, although I'm pretty sure I wont like it. The titles of the following episodes sound good, and the trailer was promising, so let's hope we'll finally get some good episodes about the clone wars again.
