  1. This is the same for Canada. ($15 CAD off for 100 VIP points aka the value of $1 CAD) The website was a bit of a pain last night, but I was able to place my order for the Justifier within 40 minutes of 12 am, thankfully that I was only ordering one set and already had it in my cart.
  2. I don’t think Lego is counting on the mechs selling much at all with reasonable Lego fans who are making value judgements based on figs. They’re just there for people who think, “I recognize that as Star Wars and is a cheap-ish Lego set, I’m going to buy that for a child”. Hence why they went with the character designs that are most recognizable as Star Wars to most people.
  3. The original mould lasted 20 years. Definitely way too early. P2 clones are the only helmet that’s had 3 different moulds for the same helmet, and that’s a special circumstance, since the 3rd one is just to include the helmet holes. Plus if it were a new helmet the people who have seen the set would’ve said so.
  4. It’s definitely meant to be an ESB set, since Sloane was in the asteroid field when the TIE Bombers were deployed. Also she’s a Vice Admiral in Lego, which is her rank during Episode V, while she’s an Admiral at Endor. We do really need Ozzel and an updated Piett, although I’m definitely very glad we got Sloane, since she’s a book character and a lot less likely to show up in future sets. While Ozzel and Piett are much more likely, since they were actually in the movie. One of them being included instead of Vader would probably have been better though. Not really, since Sloane is a higher rank and has greying hair in Squadrons, and Vader was dead by that point. It’s definitely an Empire Strikes Back set.
  5. Yes, you’re right. I completely forgot castaways existed. In which case I guess it would make a bit more sense that Lego is sharing designs, since it’s a mobile game that probably uses the same assets their promotional animations use, rather than a console game that’s been out for a year. For the Boba discussion, I think Return of the Jedi Boba is more likely regardless, because we’ve never got one with arm printing, and they can re-use the fig in the Sail Barge next year.
  6. Maybe completely I missed some info then. I never saw anything saying they were the same design as the video games. If that is the case that’s a little disappointing, since I was hoping for a different outfit for Palpatine other than his main one from Revenge of the Sith.
  7. We have nothing telling us that how Fox, Palpatine, and Rex look in the Skywalker Saga is how they’ll look in Lego. And I’m sure there’s no communication between the set designers and video game designers. The characters in the video game have no bearing on future sets, and vice versa. New 2024 minifigures probably haven’t even been finalized yet.
  8. It’s not necessarily spoilery, but if they have the official reveal right after the episode it appears in that might lead to more pre-orders.
  9. I definitely appreciate the new GWP structure. Although the lack of a figure in the set promo this year is very disappointing. Something like last year with the small build and a minifig is just perfect. I really like the Death Star plans this year, more than the Beskar keychain last year. That’s probably because a Beskar ingot isn’t really interesting to me, plus metal keychains with sharp edges like that are sort of unusable.
  10. IDK if we’ll get more than a Fondor. Sure Andor has some fans, but it’s not at all a show for children, which is Lego’s main audience. (Other than 18+ sets, but Lego never makes them for very new media.) The Book of Boba Fett still has 0 sets really based off the show (the Microfighter and Mando’s N1 don’t really count). And Bad Batch only has had one set per season. I wouldn’t expect much from Andor.
  11. I can’t see Lego making a minifig scale AT-TE so soon after the playscale one, because I can’t see it being that much bigger. The minifig scale Brickvault one is 2133 pieces, which is around the same as the current X-Wing, and a lot lower than the Gunship or Cantina. https://www.brickvault.toys/products/at-te-minfig-scale And that’s not even considering the fact that Brickvault MOCs usually use way more pieces than an official Lego set of the same size would.
  12. I want a Cody, but not the one they made, and I’m certainly am not spending $180 on a set for one minifigure I’m sort of interested in. I’m sure there will be a set with a Cody design I like at some point over the next few decades.
  13. The trooper designs would’ve affected how well people would be able to predict the story of the show as it unfolds throughout the season. It wouldn’t have necessarily ruined anything, but people would have a better experience watching the show without knowing of their existence. I personally don’t care that much about it for Mando S3, because I don’t really care about the Imperials or Mandalorians, however I would feel differently when it comes to spoilers for something like Bad Batch, Kenobi, or the Book of Boba Fett. Axe Woves’ Gozanti wouldn’t really be a spoiler, since it appeared in Season 2, and the only named characters that could be included in it did as well.
  14. I am personally extremely glad that Lucasfilm doesn’t reveal more spoilery stuff than they already do. I want to actually enjoy the show as it’s coming out, and the merchandise around it can come out afterwards.
  15. It might be more of August 2024, because of how long set production takes, but I’m sure we’ll get lots of the spoilery stuff next year. (Since Lego cares about the Mandalorian a lot more than the other Disney+ shows)
  16. That is fair, although May the 4th is the only time I buy Lego Star Wars, so I do wish there was at least a minifigure as a promo. Maybe a fig that’s not necessarily desirable, but unlikely to come in a Lego set. Like Sio Bibble or someone like that. That means you’re celebrating only three anniversaries in the next 26 years. Which Disney just isn’t going to do, because the anniversaries are money makers.
  17. Street-dating isn’t really Disney cracking down on anything. It’s the same as any Lego set that’s ever released, it just comes down on the retailers as to whether they enforce it or not.
  18. I like the Death Star plans a lot better than the Beskar keychain last year. The Death Star build is very meh, and if I wasn’t already going to spend $210 on the Justifier I probably wouldn’t have even cared to hit the top threshold.
  19. I have to assume so, since that’s how it’s worked with every movie in the past. For whatever reason movies have way more marketing associated with them than TV shows do, so Lego will have a lot more to work with. Although, we’ll be waiting at least 2 years (if not longer) for that.
  20. If Omega’s in the advent calendar, I might have to rethink my plan to pick up the Justifier on May the 4th. Hopefully we get confirmation about the advent calendar figs before then so I can make an informed decision.
  21. They never remade the Ghost during the run of Rebels, so I wouldn’t be so sure. And Rebels was probably a lot more wide reaching and popular than Bad Batch, since it had a more wide scope character and story wise, plus it was the only running Star Wars TV show at the time. At this point it seems like the most we can hope for is 1 Bad Batch set per season. Probably the Ahsoka sets & Yoda’s Starfighter, and then maybe Yavin or the Gunship down the line, depending on how my wallet goes and what future Lego sets we get down the line. I am glad that the Fall UCS/MBS set is undesirable, so I don’t have 2 massive sets I want to buy in a year. (The other being Rivendell) (I am very much looking forward to viewing photos and videos of the UCS Venator though, since I’m sure it will be beautiful)
  22. That would have to be smaller than minifig scale, (see a Sandcrawler next to the Razor Crest in the Mandalorian) but yeah, a large Sandcrawler set could probably work. I don’t know if it would end up being much larger than the previous UCS Sandcrawler though. https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/6/6d/Arvala-7-Sandcrawler-TheMandalorian.png/revision/latest?cb=20220207020650
  23. Ideally/hopefully a minifig-scale UCS set with a bunch of minifigs. (Like the AT-AT, Razor Crest, or Falcon, but with more figures)
  24. I think that’s just referring to the fact that it’s a multi-pack, and I guess they just didn’t want to list out all of the characters.
