  1. That’s pretty much no one. Pretty much everyone in Episode 2 & 3 participates in a battle of some sort, and the only human Jedi in TPM are Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Mace, Anakin, Quinlan Vos, and Depa Billaba.
  2. I wasn’t aware of the coming close to beating Jango thing when I wrote this. Which is hard to square away from the whole peaceful thing, unless they’re a force user.
  3. It isn’t a perfect fit, but the Master Codebreaker? He fits most of the descriptions, but would definitely be a weird inclusion.
  4. I forget, is it confirmed that we’ve never seen this character in Lego before?
  5. I feel like Maarva is definitely our best guess so far. I wouldn’t exactly call her life peaceful, but nearly everything else fits.
  6. The peaceful life feels really weird, because that seems like a direct nod to Galen, and it also applies to very few characters in Star “Wars”. Dr. Pershing isn’t a 100% match, but he’s close
  7. If only he had white on his outfit, it might have been exposition legend Ric Olié.
  8. Then there’s a good chance it’s him, since pretty much everything else fits. I’m not sure how he’s a controversial character or what object or vehicle he’d be tied to though. And I’m at a loss for whatever “strange look on the street means”. Ah, okay. I guess the peaceful life thing was a misdirect then.
  9. This feels like a direct call out to Galen, but we’ve never seen him wear a white outfit aside from the shoulders on his scientist uniform, so IDK.
  10. The only stuff we see from the movies in Barad-Dûr is presumably the very brief shot of Gollum being tortured. Although, knowing Lego, there’s a decent chance they use the interior to depict other scenes that happened elsewhere within Mordor. Like I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a room to represent Sauron forging the ring, even though that happened in Mount Doom.
  11. I mean double VIP points is 10% off right there, plus there’s double VIP points this weekend, so buying from Lego is definitely the better option. (That’s obviously assuming you were going to spend your VIP points afterwards anyways) Still haven’t seen it on sale in Canada, but I might bite this weekend with the double points and promos.
  12. The fastest we’ve yet to see Lego crank out a set after the show releases is probably the Razor Crest, which they got out in 10 months trying desperately to capitalize off of Grogu’s ridiculous popularity. So getting any Ahsoka sets would be a real long shot next year anyways. January 2025 is a much more reasonable timeframe.
  13. Yes, but that requires new moulds, and including 501st troopers doesn’t even require any new prints, which ends up being a lot cheaper for Lego. I sincerely hope there’s a Naboo Guard or two, but I doubt Lego’s willingness to do it considering how much they’ve try to cheap out on minifigs so often in the past.
  14. That would be a great polybag GWP idea. Although I don’t know I would end up displaying them together, since the symbolism of trying to use them as “The Two Towers” does seem to lose a bit of weight when one is ten times taller than the other. And obviously they’re not close at all geographically.
  15. The Rebels Vader armour is slightly different from the A New Hope version. In Lego, we’ve gotten the Vader armour from ROTS, Rebels, and ESB/ROTJ. We’ve never gotten the version from A New Hope (which is the same as Rogue One, Kenobi, and Clone Wars) and we’ve also never gotten the version from Fallen Order. Although the ESB/ROTJ version hasn’t appeared accurately since 2006, and the current version of Vader’s torso is accurate to nothing, because it is essentially the ESB/ROTJ design, but the blue button is swapped out for a green one seen on the previous (timeline-wise) non-Rebels Vaders.
  16. Pain. This wouldn’t be nearly as bad if I didn’t already have the buildable R2-D2 from a couple years ago, making this set pretty much as uninteresting as it gets. Ugh, looks like I’m probably going to be way overpaying for a single minifig one way or another.
  17. While I’d much prefer to actually get KOTOR sets, getting KOTOR minifigs is a dream come true. Although I guess this doesn’t rule out the possibility for KOTOR sets, since Malak doesn’t really fit in well with any potential play scale sets, so it makes sense he would be included as an add-on. If it came out along with the remake I’m sure an Ebon Hawk playset would sell like hot cakes.
  18. Rey’s hilt being black in the Holiday Special set looks awful (along with the trans neon green blade). I have no idea why they didn’t use the dark gun metal grey hilt like they did for Kylo Ren. Fortunately I have some extras from other sets, but black was a weird choice.
  19. Wow, I never noticed that. And whenever you think of Octuptarra droids, the main things that come to mind are on Christophsis in the Clone Wars movie, on Skako Minor in Season 7, and on Mygeeto in ROTS, which are all the larger versions. I probably saw them in the background on Utapau, but never realized they were so small.
  20. So maybe an AT-RT or an undersized Octuptarra droid then. If it is an AT-RT, hopefully it’s not way too oversized like the one in the 501st set was. (Or I guess it could be a Corporate Alliance Tank Droid, but that seems like it’s probably too big for this size of set.) I mean it does make sense that January releases wouldn’t sell great off the bat, since most people buying toys would do so right before Christmas and not be willing to buy anymore right after. And April makes sense for releases since it coincides with being available on May the 4th. I agree that I miss the big January waves of Lego Star Wars.
  21. Lego has made plenty of sets based off of things like Indiana Jones or the Star Wars original trilogy this year, which are both just as (if not more) lacking than LOTR when it comes to gender diversity. Hell, look at the gender ratio in the Looney Toons and Muppets CMFs. Lego only tries to make more diverse figures if they’re unnamed or original, not if they’re using named figures from an established piece of media. Plus if Lego is willing to make a James Bond set, they aren’t going to be worried about making a CMF series for an immensely popular and largely unproblematic movie series. The marketability I agree about though, since LOTR doesn’t necessarily have the same grip on many of the children right now that something like Marvel or Star Wars does. Which is important to consider when making a CMF series instead of making a single set.
  22. Yeah, I don’t see them changing it, since every Vader Lego has released since 2020 is mostly based off of his ESB/ROTJ armour (with the exception of the top right button on his chest plate being green instead of blue like it should be). It seems like Lego’s torso design philosophy for Vader has shifted over the years. These ranges include multiple variants, but within the ranges they all have the same philosophy of torso design. 1999 to 2006: ESB/ROTJ Version 2008 to 2011: ANH/Rogue One/TCW/Kenobi Version (With the robe under the shoulder armour instead of over it) 2014 to 2019: ROTS Version 2016: Rebels Version 2019: ESB/ROTJ Version (20th Anniversary Figure) 2020 to Present: ESB/ROTJ Version (With a green button instead of a blue one) As a random side note: I love the implication that Vader has to change out one of his switches from a white one to a red one in between the Tantive IV escaping at the end of Rogue One and him boarding the ship at the start of A New Hope. Further clarification: This is not correct, it appears Vader does actually have a white switch in A New Hope. The image I was working off of was the one that’s gone around the internet a few times showing Vader’s outfits in different movies, and they are mostly correct, but it appears the A New Hope photo is not actually from the movie.
  23. I mean I definitely don’t think he’s the Eighth Brother, unless he grew a bunch of extra fingers since Rebels.
  24. As long as it’s not too expensive I might need to pick that hairpiece up then. Especially since I’d like to use Fennec’s hair on my Reva figure, since the hair she comes with looks awful.
