  1. The darksaber is nice and simplistic, crazy it took them this long to do it though. Bo-Katan looks good. The build is good, if probably oversized. It’s a decent set, but I’ll probably only get it if it’s on sale or I need it to push me over the threshold for a GWP.
  2. The exact date is from a reference book, but his death kicks off the Mandalorian Civil War and Obi-Wan meeting Satine, so even if we throw that out he can’t have died any later than 39 ABY. (48 years before Mando)
  3. Considering Bo-Katan knew her father before he died, she should be around 60 in the Mandalorian. And her father died 51 years before the Mandalorian, so she has to be at least that old. (Although Kate’s Sackhoff the actress is 41) And I’m sceptical on whether they’d make a new head print for her, especially when they couldn’t be bothered to do it for most of the characters in the Rivendell set, especially since the old Bo-Katan head works fine enough. I also hope so, but to be fair a new mould for Bo-Katan would be pretty much useless for any other character, while Vane’s mould can be used for Kithaba, Barada, & others in Star Wars, plus a bunch of characters outside of the theme.
  4. Star Wars is a trope fest, and is alway going to have the element of pulpy adventure serial to it. Were you also insulted because Obi-Wan looks like a stereotypical wizard being an old man with a beard and long flowing robes? Or that Palpatine looks like the creepy old witch/warlock in the forest with a disfigured face and a hooded black robe?
  5. People complain about every possible thing in any new piece of media. Even if it’s the most trivial, harmless thing, there’s always going to be people complaining about it.
  6. That’s what I fear as well. Fingers crossed that’s not the case.
  7. Lol, Lego doesn’t hate any fans. They just really like making sets off of a select group of Star Wars things, which right now is lots of Original Trilogy sets and lots of clone-based sets. (And sets for new show releases, but those are obviously a separate thing.) You can say Lego has made a lot of bad decisions in regards to how their Clone Wars sets have turned out, but that’s not malice, that’s just incompetence or laziness. And saying that they hate people because they didn’t make a specific set is absurd, because you could make up 50 other fictional sets and make the same argument. Saying Lego hates Clone Wars fans is ridiculous. How do you think sequels fans, Rogue One fans, Solo fans, (non-clone) prequel movie fans, or fans of any show other than Clone Wars or the Mandalorian are doing? Does Lego hate them as well?
  8. In the book Glorfindel and Bilbo are also present at the Council. So there are some differences between the books and movies, and the Lego set is based on the movie. Which is probably why they can’t call the dwarf Glóin.
  9. Looking at the faces, the horn placement and colour is pretty much perfect for Ima Gun-Di, so I might end up having to pick up this set after all. Plus having non bug-eyed Niktos is great for filling out my Cantina or Jabba’s Palace.
  10. The Snub Fighter isn’t anything to write home about, but I’ll maybe pick it up if I find it on sale or need it to meet the May 4th promo threshold. Minifigs are cool, and I prefer them over nameless troopers, but probably not enough of a draw to push me to get the set. Would’ve been a different story if Greef were included. While the fact that both Nikto use the same face is disappointing, it makes me wonder if they made it so they could use it with Jabba’s Sail Barge as well. Also that bandanna piece that Vane is using would be perfect for Kithaba or Barada…
  11. Yavin doesn’t actually have 12 minifigs?
  12. In most countries stores are open every day except for holidays. Only a portion of Europe still follows that, and very little of the rest of the world does. (Basically just a couple countries that were colonized by Empires who had Christian beliefs) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunday_shopping People aren’t going to be happy if they made a LOTR GWP a few months after the set releases. Then you’re just punishing people who bought it early, because very few people can afford to shell out the cash for another of the same giant set just to get a GWP.
  13. I mean there is Seripas, the Geonosian & Nightsister zombies, and Jedi are essentially superheroes in most sense of the word. And I don’t think that they don’t belong in Star Wars, but I do get what you mean in that mech sets make no sense for Star Wars Lego. I’d love a Seripas set, but I dislike the mechification of normal characters for no reason. (I agree I don’t like the cultural of idea of a superhero shaped by DC and Marvel in Star Wars, but Star Wars’s whole thing is playing off of pulpy tropes from movies and shows that came before it, and zombies and mechs certainly aren’t that far of a departure.)
  14. It’s still a Stormtrooper though. We have gotten and will continue to get countless of them until Lego stops making Star Wars sets.
  15. For $15? For one figure? If you really want slightly different stormtrooper printing I’m sure it will come in a cheap set or even a battle pack at some point in the next year or two.
  16. It could be that the conversion rate was worse in Australia when the Andor set released? Since Lego usually sets the prices close to what the conversion rate is in the time leading up the release of a set.
  17. Yeah. I personally won’t be getting the Executor, but it’d be hard to turn down a set like this of the Profundity. Overall, like others have said, the proportions are a bit off, and this probably should’ve come with an Ozzel or Piett to make it a bit more worth it. It’s a cool idea for a set though, and better than the helmets. It’s Imperial so I’m not really into it at all, but I prefer detailed micro scale sets to oversized UCS sets.
  18. I mean both of those characters have ships, and I’d much rather get a microfighter than a mech for both.
  19. I’m all four of these. (Except I’m definitely not clamouring for more clone sets, just anything else from the prequels please. But obviously the sequels and Rebels and Book of Boba Fett are higher on the wishlist.)
  20. Yeah I agree. Having the hair strands at the front is cool, but having his hair in front of his ears makes him look not like himself. I’m a little frustrated that I don’t have an old Legolas with which to switch the hair for.
  21. Mace had his own legion in Clone Wars season 7 that would’ve made more sense to include. Lego just makes baffling decisions sometimes. Plus like others have said, the 327th aren’t that much more obscure than the 41st.
  22. Lego just made a set with clones based off of random obscure action figures from 15 years ago. Any clone legion is reasonable at this point. (Kashyyyk is more likely, but it’s certainly not a guarantee.)
  23. Yeah, hopefully New Line Cinemas has some good people there, and enough creative control that everything isn’t completely dictated by the higher ups at WB (like Lucasfilm & Disney). Or yes, the company being sold would be best for everyone involved.
  24. With Graballa the Hutt’s Beachside Resort and Buffet? Yes please! My wallet can rest easy. (Unless it ends up being MBS Endor, in which case I’ll still probably end up getting it.)
