  1. The Walmart that I work at is getting a shipment of the Dark Trooper set on February 24th. So be sure to check your local stores if you care about getting it before release day. The name at Walmart is TBD-IP-LSW5-2022 (at least it is in Ontario, Canada).
  2. Training on Dagobah (75330) and the Death Star Trench Run (75329) are supposed to release in May, along with the UCS Landspeeder. The rumoured set number for the Trash Compactor is 75339, which falls after the August sets in numerical order, so who knows when it will release. (Although I don’t ever think it was confirmed to be the Trash Compactor)
  3. I definitely agree Lego needs to have $25 USD sets, especially with the price hike for Battle Packs. And this is probably due to inflation, but if you compare this to the 501st Troopers set (also $30 US) there’s no contest to which one provides the better value. Both have 4 minifigs, while the 501st set has 2 battle droids and 1.7 times as many pieces. Granted many pieces are small, but the 501st builds are clearly better value for your money.
  4. While I’d love to join your MBS ROTJ tin foil hat theory, Luke’s outfit is slightly different between Return of the Jedi and the Mandalorian, so he required a new print that shouldn’t be used in any ROTJ sets. (In the start or ROTJ he has the grey Jedi Robe looking overshirt and no belt buckle, in the end of ROTJ he had a black belt buckle, and in the Mandalorian he has a silver belt buckle and a more Jedi-robe looking shirt.) Granted it looks like Lego has used silver as the colour of his belt buckle in the past, so they could re-use this torso for a late-ROTJ set despite its inaccuracies in both buckle colour and shirt style. They definitely wouldn’t re-use the pants though, since Luke never wears a black cloak in ROTJ, only a brown one at Jabba’s Palace.
  5. Looks like a bit of a Gamorrean torso. I am so excited for this set.
  6. I was just thinking about that the other day. If they were to do dual-moulding, I wonder if they’d use dark trans or black for the visor? The dark trans would be more accurate, but if you can see the minifig head inside then the black one might be better. Given we have the dual-moulded Resistance helmets, I think it’s inevitable that we see a dual-moulded Mandalorian helmet in the next decade or two.
  7. Just R2, Yoda, & Luke unfortunately. The description said there was an X-Wing wing sticking out of the swamp, and Yoda’s hut has the tree roots going over it. And that the swamp was made out of small tiles which is why the piece count is so high for the price. There might’ve been other details, but I don’t remember anymore than that.
  8. That’s sort of in the ambiguous canon land. Filoni originally hinted that he thought it might be Rex, and then later said that he didn’t want to canonize it being Rex and remove an already created Star Wars character, so he said that fans can believe what they want about whether or not Sant is Rex. There’s also Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures, where Rex shows up on Endor in his clone armor, but that’s ambiguously canon as well.
  9. I mean a display set in the style of the 2005 one. And Lego would be insane to rerelease a MBS/Playset-style Death Star only 2 years out from one being on the shelf for 12 years in a row. Anyone looking at the price would see $529.99 vs. $349.99, which seems pretty hard to mess up for me. But maybe it is a $350 set, which would be a bit disappointing.
  10. $530 makes no sense for a UCS Death Star. There’s no value of that as opposed to a $350 to $400 version of it, and you’re losing a lot of consumers at the higher price point. It would work just as well being the same size as the 2005 version. IMO the only things the $530 set could reasonably be (given how popular the material is, and the size of the set) are: Jabba’s Palace/Sail Barge (A Barge works better, but the Palace is more relevant with the Book of Boba Fett) Jedi Temple Hoth (This is only an option because of the recent Hoth stuff. I don’t think it would need to be this expensive, but it has an outside chance of being an option.) Endor (I don’t think this makes much sense since it would probably be Bunker+Ewok Village, and I think that works better as 2 sets instead of 1.) And some people argue Geonosis, but there’s no way a Pentranaki Arena would come close to this price point, other potential builds are better off as standalone sets.
  11. The fact that Lego created a new mould for a Quarren figure when they easily could’ve made a Weequay figure from the same scene is encouraging. I’m hoping it’s a hint that the $530 set might be a Sail Barge, which would be absolutely amazing. Now the Sail Barge might only need 2 or 3 new moulds*. (For J’Quille and Saelt-Marae, and maybe an Ishi-Tib) There are 8 or so old moulds that they’d need to bring back, but I’d think that bringing those back would be cheaper than designing an entirely new mould. (The old ones being Jabba, Bib Fortuna, Salacious Crumb, Leia’s Hair, Lando’s Helmet, Ree-Yees, Max Rebo, and the Gamorreans)
  12. Well the Theelin isn’t confirmed to be Rystáll Sant, but it looks just like her. Same with the Gran in the Mandalorian looking like Ree-Yees and the Quarren looking like Tessek. The $70 Book of Boba Fett set could definitely be a which would explain the low price per piece, and be roughly in line with the price level. If it is, I’m guessing (depending on how much info Lego is given) the minifigs would be something like:
  13. Hello, I’m a long time lurker, first time poster. The figure is definitely the Theelin with Bib Fortuna’s lekku. Awesome to see 2 species made in Lego for the first time. Also since the set is from the Mandalorian it means Lego doesn’t need to make a new mold for the Gamorrean(s), since they have the same outfits as Return of the Jedi. If the previous minifigure report proves false, my guess is we get Bib, Fennec, Boba, the Theelin, the Quarren, a Gamorrean, and maybe another Gamorrean or the Twi’lek or Weequay from the Mandalorian.
