LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!

CTT pics are out it looks cute. Marines look amazing just on the box art one random marine looks like he’s flying. The first thought that went into my head was “they fly now?” I would have gladly swapped Ki adi out for another marine, or even a B1 for an extra marine but I will wait for a sale or for a good GWP to come before I buy. The RTG set has an orange saber blade unless I’m going blind. That set looks cool but I’ll pick that up on sale -

It kind of does reconfirm those leaks. So I’m guessing75440 and 75441 will be the Vader and Venator. 75449 probably is the siege of mandalore bp. Maybe the AT-AT and Razor Crest are really downsized to hit these prices? Looks like we either have a mech or microfichter (or both) as well. Guess the 75437 is the Cobb Vanth set which just leaves the $70 and 4+ set unaccounted for. The $70 is the perfect age range for a TIE Avenger….. if the leaks do turn out to be fake though. We know we are getting a battlepack of some sorts. 2 18+ sets. A $30 small set and 3 middle of the range sets under $100. -

Gingerbread Vader just looks like he’s been applying too much fake tan. But the icing detail is pretty cool -

SW is such a big thing now nobody likes the whole thing. Whilst your preference maybe the OT it’s not now everyone’s. The more new content we have and the more the years roll by its prevalence will diminish. The skywalker saga is supposedly over and the last few projects have all been looking beyond that and SW is successful without having those main characters. let’s remember Andor is one of the best received series and that is a spinoff to a spinoff which is a sequel to the prequel era and also a prequel to the originals and apart from a handful of prequel cameos (except mon mothma) im not saying they should stop making OT stuff but the rate at which new stuff comes out the demand will go down for the OT stuff. The next x wings, y wings, a wings, TIe, snowspeeders, AT-ATs aren’t going to be based on the OT anymore it’ll be on something different something current and in more demand. Chances are anything OT will be aimed at adults so that UCS and Dioramas (if they are still a thing) it’s not my place to say that what you like about SW is wrong but I think everyone here needs reminding constantly that just because person A likes this doesn’t mean everyone else is in the same boat. It’s one of the downsides of algorithms is that we only see what they think we want to see which is people who ageee with us and often it isn’t a true representation. i think Lego’s sales might indicate how well they can cope without featuring the main OT cast. If they think they can do it then they can. But all everyone has here is opinions and nobody ever shares one you just got to respect that people look at things differently. if Disney and Lucas film get their arses in gear we are set for new tv and films until at least the end of the 2020s now is rather Lego focus on the new stuff and if they are revisiting older media focus on things that haven’t been done before or haven’t been done in at least 10 years. The Lando series is still being worked on last time I checked so there is always hope he gets a set for that series. For me Lando has always seemed like he was a Han while Han was frozen. Didn’t really bring much else to the table, but actually thinking about it I don’t actually like that many SW characters lol, like a true SW fan. -

I don’t get the hype for Boba barely does anything in two films get cucked in his own series but screen time isn’t a good metric, neither is what random person from eurobricks says either. Characters can leave an impact and only have seconds of screen time or they could have an entire film/trilogy do nothing of note. At some point the die hard OT fans will have to let go of the fact that it’s ever becoming a smaller part of the franchise. Do kids of today like the OT? It’s impossible to know as there aren’t any kids here we are all adults so have different opinions. That’s not me saying they shouldn’t make sets on OT but for balance it will get less coverage same as the PT and CW. I’ve hit my mid 30s now and all I crave is castle and pirate sets now I find my focus more drawn to them than to SW. -

I’m in the same boat as you, wonder if the rumors of the Mandolorian vs orange 501st is true maybe they’ll through in a pauldron or two to make it similar for Rex. -

Possibly in the Ferrix stage recruiting the guy to get the job done It would be the bros dream to have 24 different clone figures for 24 days of Christmas or would it be 24 of the same. As some one with a higher BMI I’m still waiting for the ultimate chocolate Lego adventure calendar lmao -

Double edged sword. I like the random figures of calendars in years past. But I like the idea of this years calendar despite the fact I don’t really want droids. But I like that one year you have a clone one, or a tatooine one, or rebel /imperial etc. think marvel and hp have had these themes before for there calendars. if we are getting news of the gingerbread AT-AT Death Star figure list and details won’t be long. Especially as other D2C sets have had details and figures leak for later in the year like the Star Trek set -

Looks like the gingerbread AT-AT comes with a gingerbread Vader. Sweet. Price seems pretty hefty for what it is. Wonder what kind of scale the AT-AT will be -

Anniversaries, “your joking another one? For god sake” Might be on my own here but I think we need to cool down with these anniversaries literally every year now is some kind of landmark.i must admit 50th anniversary of SW is maybe something to celebrate but it should be something that celebrates the entire franchise as a whole. Maybe 30 years for LSW in 2029 they can do a couple of special figures but after that we’ve got to let them go. If every year is supposed to be special for one reason or the other it becomes not special and it’s just mundane and the norm. do we think the influencers will get their review sets for the August wave soon? Still can’t believe we have had any official pics yet and still nothing from the AT-ST -

So the clone bp is apparently going to be £35 in the U.K. 10 more than than the pack from last January. Same price as the anniversary battlepack but always had hoped that it was the fact it was anniversary set that made the price rise just turns out it’s the usual corporate greed. No idea how a set premise (faction vs faction) can go up by 40% in 20 months inflation isn’t that bad just pure greed and I’m actually properly enraged by it -

I’ve been trying to make this point for absolute ages. The only problem with the theme is the balance. 5 years ago people were complaining about the lack of clones and now it’s come full circle. But the problem is that in the past 10-15 years SW has grown so much and will only ever get bigger. The days of every year having so many OT sets and so many OT sets are gone it’s going to be a free for all and I think for some they will have years they like and some won’t. My only defence with clone dominance is every set has bought something newish to the table (until next year if the rumours are true). Considering how expensive Lego is sometimes I’m quite relieved that they make a wave of sets that don’t interest me gives me time to save for the future. It looks like recent trend is 2 4 figure packs and 1 bigger battle pack. Which I don’t mind but it’s the balance again have one clone one if you must but the other two need to be something else. Last year was bit different with the anniversary battle pack that was more of a one off I think. but yeah with the helmet my first thought was the duel but like you said he loses it after the first episode so it’s either an inaccurate set (which I don’t mind tbh) or it is based off of S2 ep1. But I do like the idea of it maybe just being a random piece in the razor crest that would be the ultimate troll move from Lego. Is there any chance as it is boba fetts helmet that it could just be for Boba? I know his armour gets repaired during season 2 of Mando but it is helmet after all -

Kind of conflicted because I like the idea of the super commandos but not the clones. Wonder what kind of build that battlepack would have. Guess Lego have ran out of helmets so we’re in for 5 years of busts (and not the cool kind lol). I take it if the Vader bust is real it’ll be a remake of his helmet probably the same design plopped on top of some shoulders? I’ve got the helmet already so that’s a pass for me -

My memory of BoBF isn’t perfect but didn’t Cobb Vanth get modded so he is alive and it could be for the Mando and Grogu film but then your right he doesn’t have the helmet now. My thoughts are maybe Lego is going to do a bunch of sets from seasons 1-3 of Mando and also sets from the film next year. Hope they do a Mayfield figure can’t really think of many other figures that haven’t been covered by sets already At least for things I’d want. -

Let’s face it SW is the king of doing this introducing new units/trooper types/legions/vehicles whatever that never existed before until they are introduced and we just role with it. i am one of those fools who will buy a new version of a P2 clone even though let’s face it they are all the same because they are clones doesn’t matter what they call themselves don’t really care they are just the same a copy of Jango fett. But if they release a new legion im an idiot who will buy it, It’s the same for Jedi starifghters and Hoth snowspeeder they come in a new colour you bet im buying it and i dont regret it. I just wish they did it with imperials as much as they did with clones. I will wait for as long as it takes to get some purge troopers, or an incinerator trooper or army trooper or even just updated versions of death, range, and shore troopers. -

With Ahsoka S2 and Mando film coming next year I’d say some of the rumors aren’t completely out of the question. the Ywing for example could be a new republic one for either Ahsoka or Mando. Think next year there will be a lot more OT stuff that’s people will like but probably having the twist of it being based off Ahsoka and Mando film. im not going to entertain any of these rumors until someone more reliable chips in, or until later in the year. But I’m optimistic for 2026 as I am looking forward to Ahsoka and Mando It was heavily marketed before the release of Andor. Lego loves a TIE and I think after the end of the year we won’t have one on the shelves? Mando S1 only had what two sets? Compared to the rest of the series it didn’t have the greatest coverage but then that’s also because season 1, Lego and Disney weren’t sure how well a live action SW would go down. Especially as at the time the sequels hadn’t gone down well and people were moaning about franchise fatigue. it is mostly one guys daily campaign for the avenger but I think we’d all love one really -

If he wanted to try you’d at least go for a wolf pack bp as people would believe it. It’s almost like he isn’t trying lmao. Then it’s like marvel and dc do busts so Star Wars will do one and then all these other ships at midi scale now the venator as again it’s not impossible just jay from the inbetweeners. Still think June is too early for names for 2026 i would half expect set numbers at some point (although have we not had them already) -

I imagine the AT-TE will go soon. Doesn’t make sense having two similar size clone land vehicles on the shelves at the same time. They won’t want to cannibalise any sales for the CTT -

If memory serves we had the battlepack, turbo tank, ATAP, droid gunship, scout walker all with the Kashyyyk clones. Am I right in them being the 41st? I wonder if 2026 Lego continues the trend of doing something different and doing the 41st but not on Kashyyyk they like doing the same but different at the moment. I also wonder who faction wise would benefit from the new paldrons? As I suspect they might have a better chance of a release so Lego can utilise the new mold. We are only an AT-AP away from lego redoing all the previously done republic land vehicles in the 2020s with off the top of my head the exception of the AT-OT the TIE avenger should be released never seen something in SW marketed as much and not get a set in recent memory. Can’t remember how many TIEs are on the shelf atm, a safe bet one will come out next year as we’ve got Ashoka and Mando and grogu so that might take away from the avenger possibly. -

Weird I could have sworn I replied to this did it get taken down? I can’t remember what I said exactly lmao but Dooku vs Yoda would have been a good £30 set when Lego was banging them out in the late 2010s before dioramas took over the cheap location sets. I agree he is difficult but Mail, Vader, Kylo, Palpatine have had a fair amount of coverage over the years Dooku is the only one who gets missed out and he is in 2 movies. I can only hope he comes back at some point. He was my favourite villain but think that’s more for Christopher Lee having a massive resurgence in the early 2000s It depends on how people collect Lego. There are the completionists (the crazy ones) who buy every single set regardless of it they like the set or not, those who have been collecting for years, those who only just started. We all have different things in our collections and preferences and yeah it’s impossible and frustrating when things get released that we don’t want. I see it now as money saved, kind of like girl maths. I saved 150 quid by not buying the dark falcon :D just my opinion I’ll try to be polite but the tales of series aren’t for me, but I wouldn’t say they are exclusively for kids either it’s more young adults as every single one is a continuation of a character’s story from CW or before and I’d argue people would have more enjoyment of them if they had watched clone wars first, which I didn’t because I hate clone wars with a passion. Which most people who have watched the clone wars and are nostalgic for more are teens/young adults who watched it when it first came out. RTG was definitely more marketable for Lego and potentially profitable for kids/adults a like feel like tales is a very small audience and lego Must think that otherwise where are all the bad batch sets? Especially as Lego love clones so much and yet they don’t even look at the second most clone focused show. Also more slave one pics are out and I love it. Don’t like the stud shooters but that’s an easy fix -
LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!
Llewop replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Because the RTG show is there for kids to watch and if they like it buy the sets it current and relevant. Looking back even the free maker stuff was coming out whenever that show was coming out at the same time, same as those god awful Jedi adventure 4+ sets. The only way your getting the obscure legends characters nowadays is if they get introduced via a Disney+ show or film as from 2026 there’s going to be 12 films, 4 animated shows, 7 live action series all with fans wanting sets to be made and only a few slots available to meet demand. I’d love it to have the more obscure things from SW but it’s just not reality certainly not from LEGO. With a lot of the free makers stuff when that was being released what other SW stuff was it competing against? Not much and there was no 18+ sets taking away from the system sets. But I agree even though I didn’t like the RTG sets the whole thing was mixing things up that why they had the rebel ATAT, a mon calamari trooper, and a dark falcon.
