Any UK/Europe guys noticed that the Marine magazine now has a TIE defender poly bag instead of the marine. I’ve never heard of them swapping the poly bag with the magazine I wonder if clone bros have gone mad and Lego sold out of them. I did get a couple myself but I didn’t see anyone in Europe have this issue when they dropped previously -

The leak on Reddit threw me as some of it sounded very familiar and thought they were trolling then someone pointed out that more countries than the original 6 are getting this years wave next year. I do wonder does that mean the rest of the world be always a year behind with the smart sets or are they going to have a bumper wave in April (2 smart waves in one)? also only curious about the Hoth smart set in case they redesign the rebel Hoth trooper as I keep forgetting there are normal minifigures still in the smart sets. The battlepack still sounds bad for the RRP until we get confirmation that it’s either a 4 normal or 6 super I just lower my expectations for that. with the JSF being 5+ are they normally that age range? Unless there is a figure other than Anakin and R2 it’ll be another pass for me. im actually warming to the idea of the Ywing but still would have preferred a new republic version -

Normally if it’s an error Argos are prone to them they sort it quite quick. They did have the new Olivia Rodrigo set up for only £10 by error. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone give away so much (at least in store credits) for something so cheap in comparison. I get if you were buying laptops/TVs/kitchenware but even getting like the most expensive smart set at £110 your still getting 20% off (in store credit) I’ve seen that most if not all the SW on sale, whilst I don’t like the smart figures and the builds there are normal minifigures in there if the Hoth ones come out next year hoping to see what snowtroopers /Hoth rebels we get with them. Argos is my favourite place to get Lego they actually do really good deals hoping the new owners don’t cock that up for us -

I think all of her songs are the same really she seems to push out a new album almost continuously and yet none of it stands out from the rest not like the older stuff. but back to Lego - as a fellow Brit check out Argos offer for the Pokemon smart sets. Offering 5000 nectar points for any smart set Pokemon purchase. That says to me that either the SW smart sets have sold so badly they are willing to give away £25 store credit just for people to buy them or they are gambling on the theme being able to offset the points credit loss. BTW 4 of the smart Pokemon sets are actually under the credit you would get so you are essentially getting them for free. -

Sister an Olivia Rodrigo fan? Is she really popular to get her own wave? The radio play her songs a lot but then radio has been playing the same 3 songs for the past few months. Thought Lego would have thrown money at Taylor swift (maybe she hates Lego?) Think 2027 will go ahead at least but maybe 2028 they might stop. You never know the Pokemon smart sets might sell well and Lego will double down. -

Bluewater store (Dartford) also had a smart play demo table when I went Thursday and they had no one interested. I was there for a while letting my 18 month old play with the duplo section. it was interesting to see what people go for in the shops most people in there were adults heading to the icons section, few adults at the Harry Potter but only a couple of kids in there just looking with there parents. lego really do shoot themselves in the foot though because they have so many people go in and buy nothing and I myself rarely get from them as everywhere else is just so much cheaper. There sales are shocking I’ve never seen something go on sale from Lego themselves and thought that’s a great deal. I hope that the corporate greed that has took hold does not stretch to the point where they make more sets exclusive to lego themselves. I am leaning more towards the shuttle. However the minifigure front the AT-AT actually has the most figures I want/don’t have (3) whereas the others have 2 each. On the flip side all 3 sets have 2 mini figures that I have already in some form. Probably will be the shuttle. While I have two Gideon’s already can just swap his head with another to create another high ranking Imperial. Then I’ll just pick up some remnant snowtroopers and the warlord from eBay/bricklink. I’m optimistic that the snowtroopers will be like the galactic marines and end up in the magazine next year. Since I posted this originally I have foolishly decided I want to get into the Modular’s and the Tudor corner I can pick up for a similar price as well and I think for the budget I have right now might just clinch it. I’ll just wait for the other to go on sale at some point of save it up for a desirable GWP (if such a thing exists in the future) -

UK guys I played my part and deprived many children on the latest SW magazine. On the flip side at £5.50 each I’ve got enough galactic marines now. My childhood dream of recreating old school Battlefront 2 can now begin. im torn with some of these new sets. I like the shuttle and ATAT. The thing is I got the previous ATAT from 2020?21 I don’t think I really need two of them. Then I want the warlord and remnant snowtroopers but I know what the prices will be like for those. It’s the same with the shuttle I like the model but I’ve already got most the figures already (accept for the two that are exclusive). Another thing that puts me off the ATAT is the fact they’ve put another Mando and Grogu in that set. I’ve also forgotten about the razor crest again want one but got most of the figures already. So if I was to buy one set out of the Razor Crest, Shuttle or the ATAT (and pick up the figures I’m interested in from the other two sets at some point) which do you all think is the best of the 3? also did anyone else see on Reddit that the GWP for the UCS is Vaders lightsaber -

I do like the sound of all of the 2027 sets so far in fact it sounds like an amazing line up but am I the only one who has little/no interest in actually buying them? maybe as I’m a long term collector I already have like bespin versions of the main characters, I had a previous mustafar duels and just for me it’s not doing anything. The only thing I might get is the Y wing but even then I already have the rogue 1 one so yeah. It’s a good year but it’s going to be a cheap year for me or at least a cheap 1HY -

The rumor says that it’s not modular so either way I think they’ve made a huge mistake by not having it modular. Other marvel sets are and while sometimes it limits their design it does mean people can have the choice to have them standalone or on a city with other Modular’s. My feeling is the theatre and camera set will just be two sets that don’t really go with anything but then that’s also kind of the point they are supposed to be unique sets celebrating 50 years of SW. that’s not me saying these sets are good or bad at this point I’m admiring LEGO’s ambition (it’s the closest word I could think) in doing something different any excuse to get a lukes landspeeder into a set though -

Years ago when we had the last anniversary wave I saw someone in Instagram can’t remember for the life of me their name but they remade loads of the smaller original sets like the ones from TPM where they are on the droid ship and RoTJ when Vader and Luke talk before going up to DS2. They were well made and were the kind of things that would have been welcomed like cheap and nostalgic honours the past and updates it for the next and current generations. I do think so far the 2019 anniversary wave was the best one and I hope for the 2029 inevitable one they go back to that. -

Part of me still hopes/wishes they would have done force ghosts as anniversary figures. Easily have done Qui gon, Obi Wan, Luke, Anakin/Vader, Yoda, Han. But suppose we shall have to wait for the next anniversary. Do think they are missing a trick with the tattoine set not to have the figures as the actors. So instead of C3P0 it’s Anthony Daniel’s and Alec Guiness instead of Obi wan would have made it different even more without having ANOTHER farm boy luke/ ANH obi wan/ R2 and 3P0. cant wait for the prequels version where it’s just green screen set with the actors :D I know it’s a rights issue and it will never happen but next year would have been the perfect year for that elusive Star Wars CMF -

They do sound interesting in a good way but I have zero interest in any of these. All the anniversary sets seem at least for me aimed at like real hardcore Star Wars fans. Like I’m more of a casual fan so when these figures that are coming it just means nothing to me. Again happy for those who are hyped for it but it does nothing for me. -

Probably a hot take but I kind of liked the lack of campaign and marketing. With the ST everyone was making theories and hyping it up to the point where for me at least I just couldn’t enjoy the films because I felt the trailers and merchandise had been overly analysed to the point of people were claiming to know the story before it came out there was no mystery in it. also feel like Disney trailers are terrible at just revealing things that would be 1000% better left out. going in to M/G we had what 2/3 trailers and nobody really knew what was going to happen and going in to watch it was refreshing. -

I am no sequel lover but I think people do forget they exist. It is interesting pattern that 5 of the first 6 films have sets coming but there are 12 films, (13 next year). I think it’s a coincidence and not intentional to be having sets from different films
