At first I thought an AT-AT was going to be for the film but I’m kind of glad it isn’t and that presumably May and the summer will be Mando films sets. There should be enough sets to cover it. Going off the last generation of films think Solo got the fewest sets which was 8? (Can’t remember off the top of my head) let’s just have a little guess maybe an imperial remnant BP of some sort, a set with some bounty hunters and Jabbas son, rebel/new republic set so you can get your Zeb and Sigourney weaver figures in one, there’s presumably the system AT-AT which will be £200 and smaller than the midi scale one :D there is potential, and it’s Disneys first SW film of the decade (a safe one) but still something they are going to throw the kitchen sink at. still got 10 months til it’s out and IMDb has only got 4 official cast (Sigourney Weaver, Pedro Pascal, Jeremy Allen-White and some guy playing an Imperial Warlord who was in Mando S3) we know Zeb is in it but apart from that not much idea of what it’s going to be like. I think come the new year there is going to be a lot more news about the film and lot more that Disney will do with it. if TT hadn’t lost the Lego licence I’d have half a hope for a Lego Mando game but that would be too much to hope for.

I know 4+ sets are bottom of the barrel but I just can’t envisage the look/scale/ design just so weird it hoping it’s not. 4years olds deserve better lol

How does a buildable Grogu work though at a 4+ set level? I’d rather they keep the buildables at 18+ level. I’m sure there are better things and more sellable things a 4+ set could be?

If it’s Mando themed the rebel set could be the rebel/new republic base from Mando S3? I thought the rumors were for a new razor crest somewhere in January? it does kind of reassure me that there are no Mando film sets in January now and that it’ll all come in May onwards. Also when was the last time a January wave was this big? Or is it not all confirmed for January yet? Otherwise do we have more to expect in March? ibe read now the Cobb Vanth includes his speeder which is probably where a lot of the pieces will go towards which I’m all for as if its the same one from Mando S2 then it’s good. Still find it odd he’s armoured because it’s essentially from a figure pov Boba fett vs cad bane set.

A 212th would have made bit more sense as they are a little harder to come by compared to the rest of the legions atm. I had a feeling when I posted earlier it was going to be a clone but I don’t want to manifest it. I just hope there is something new with the 332nd like a non canon blue pauldron. So the AT-AT is midiscale which means no figures right? Guessing the razor crest is the rebel set? And the imperial vehicle if it’s not an avenger what else could it be? curious what the Mando speeder will look like just assumed there would have been a Mando scout walker.

I’m curious about the BP, normally each clone BP brings something new to the table at least. So the 332nd unless it’s some strange variants or they have the new pauldrons they need something new on them. Wonder what kind of build there would be as well. AT-AT and razor crest will be interesting as they are going to be shrinkflation sets but atm they are also looking cheaper so maybe small scale but good figures to make up for the lack of scale. im surprised there has been no IG mech with mando and Grogu in the middle yet. Seems like a winner but this mech has to be a “good” character. 5 so far 4 “evil” characters and one “good” seems a bit unbalanced

Tops off a random day, the king came to my town, saw his chopper take off. Then found the Jyn Erso and Finn buildable figures in a local toy store still at full price. They had like 10 of them feel sorry for the owner he really took a hit on that one. I was always going to get it! Just waiting for the right price. Praying the ISB figure randomly appears in the magazine at some point or even a K2S0 what a win that would be A few 2026 set name reveals for other themes including another disappointing CMF series, but I’m guessing if the rumours are true we will probably get official titles for the January wave soon.

So it was mandolorians vs clone bp AT-AT razor crest vader bust midi venator from the set number and price leak the venator and Vader are the 2 18+ sets. The AT-AT and Razor Crest will take two of the sets that are priced at 70, 100 or 80. there’s a 30 which I’m guessing is the cad bane duel. it just leaves us with a biggish system set unaccounted for, a 4+ set and then a $10 and $14 sets which I’m guessing one is a micro fighter that hasn’t had anything concrete yet rumor wise. Unless the whole list of rumoured sets is wrong of course. if it is true that list then the prices for the AT-AT and razor crest aren’t worrying without details but definitely going to be small. Both previous versions of those vehicles were more expensive and pretty good so I’m guessing these two will have to have a pretty bloody good figure line up to even try to justify it. The razor crest is probs the one with Zeb in it. Decided to pick up the uwing as it was 20% off in the U.K. figured that’s probably as good a deal as we are going to get on it for a while. Lot of the May wave already on offer as well wondering if they haven’t sold well to be on offer so soon? In Asda the LoTR book book is already got over £20 off. im hoping that this summer wave will be on heavy discounts when they release. Its hard to tell with algorithms but from what ive seen on ig, tiktok, fb and Reddit and here is more people are unhappy and not buying on day 1 but time will tell

If it has a clone in it will sell. I e seen the alt build as well. Pretty impressive they are already doing MOCs shows how shoddy the set must be I see where your coming from I was lucky enough to get the siege encampment as I wanted a trebuchet and good siege tower I never went down the route of PAB the parts tbh I might still do as I haven’t opened it yet and see what comes out better value. considering the CTT only has 800 pieces I can’t see it being too expensive if your only wanting say half of it. But I only want the figures lol. I’m hoping more marines show up down the line but chances are it’ll be the magazine which means I’m going to have to crush some children’s dreams of getting a nice magazine with there pocket money

I do think we are forgetting this is SW they set the benchmark for merchandise and making people want a tank that’s only appearance is to get blown up. Or a swamp speeder that is in like a single frame of the film or wanting a UCS set filled with random creatures based on a small part of a film. There are ships/tanks whatever that are more prominent or less prominent they are still desirable regardless if they have an hour screen time or literally a second. hindsight is great id rather now they try something new with the UT-AT rather than butcher the CTT like they’ve done. does anyone notice how this time round the official name of the set is the republic juggernaut and not a clone turbo tank like the previous ones? I’ve never watched clone wars yet I’ve wanted these 2 legions were getting since 2005 and both just feature In one scene. I am hoping we get a new AT-AP next year :D with another legion just to complete the set

Surely you could PAB the parts you want and save yourself a ton of money?

Not trying to single you out but you are this weeks “why do they make this set and not this set” I get it’s frustrating but like SW is massive and only a finite amount of sets can go on the shelf at once. Every week someone says a similar statement last week it was OT fans. I’m not happy with the wave either and have been guilty of wanting other sets but I’ve just grown in to a realist and I accept that if the wave produces things I don’t like I’m saving money. Kind of like “girl maths” when that was a thing online. Say there was a Stinger Mantis that too is very obscure only to gamers which I don’t know how much fallen order or survivor sold but I bet the % of players that also collect Lego or would be willing to buy a set is really low. I’ve accepted the fate that we are in a different era to when the old republic or even the force unleashed sets came out back in the day. The sets for the summer have been executed poorly price and design but there are whole lot of new figures that we haven’t had before or for a long time. But had they got the prices right (a lot lower than what they are listed for) people would be saying this is a great wave. all the time the buildables sets sell, the helmets sell, and these overpriced sets sell why would lego change? They are business and they love profit. Even in the face of these design flaws in the CTT and the overpriced battle packs there are still people out there who want to buy them day 1 and I’ve even seen some looneys want to buy multiple. The fact that the influencer reviews have been overwhelmingly negative does give me hope that in the long run for next year they might alter course but it ultimately depends on sales figures.

I suppose the 5000 pieces extra will be Lego using smaller pieces compared to the last one. For the size and price maybe the interior will have more rooms than the last one? And maybe the extra pieces will mean it has full exterior and interior but the exterior would be panels to reveal inside? but yes the August wave does deserve the criticism. Can anybody remember a wave being so overpriced for what we are getting? And fans mostly agreeing with it? I still have found in the wild a couple of clone bros defending the CTT even in the face of the stability issues. I do wonder how it passed Lego’s quality test? I mean they cancelled an Indiana jones set a few year ago for stability issues. Would Lego actually be looking at the reviews and some of these comments and would they actually do anything or is it to late now

I don’t know if anybody has mentioned it during our collective hating on the August wave. But Krennic and Yularen torsos leaked for the DS. 2 down 38 to go. Feel like so many people will be after these figures on bricklink or eBay but who would buy a $1000 set just to sell the figures out? I can see a lot of these figures being very expensive to get separately

I suppose the question is and I haven’t done any research with these remakes if they maintained their scale but with improved level of detail that we get with some of the new building and design techniques would we not see the prices go up even more so than they have now and if they do, how many people would want to pay for them? I’m not defending it but shrinkflation is everywhere and it’s a question we all got to ask ourselves is do we want it at the right scale but cost more or cost what it used to be but smaller? Starfighters they have the downsizing quite well the only thing they need to improve on is having pilots being able to sit and not lie down looks stupid imo. But these large land vehicles they need a finer balance. before we had pics and info just set names I wanted everything day 1 but after seeing more and more I’m struggling to justify it tbh the only one that I would is maybe the MTT I’ve never had one and I quite like the quirky separatist vehicles. im also lucky that my birthday is 31 July which means I normally have a whole Load of money for the August wave so chances are my family and wife will be paying for the MTT and anything else probably on a deal down the line

I can’t remember who did the original comment but pretty sure it was a fellow Brit and I didn’t read it in a malicious way. Culturally we brits insult each other as a way of endearment. I’m sure other brits on here would say the same. Like you name the country we will have banter for it. America is allegedly britains greatest ally and trust me we hate Americans the most. If I knew all the brits on here I would honestly get in trouble with name calling but it wouldn’t be malicious it’s just cultural it’s hard to explain. Like I call my grandma a dickhead to her face sometimes and she calls me something worst. If you want to kind of understand the type of things that we say on a day to day just watch anything with Frankie Boyle in. The only way to spot a racist Brit at the moment is ask their opinion on boats crossing the channel…

I agree tbh Lego is kind of the last place you should be looking for 100% accuracy. There are other figures/toy companies that specialise in that. In 25 years of having Lego I’ve never been put off a figures design even when I was a kid the target audience it never annoyed me. im glad a lot of the reviewers are slamming the CTT I haven’t seen anyone be positive about it. The figures are the only good point for it but I wonder if the reviews will make Lego review the rrp or is it too late and if it sells bad it’ll just retire early? having seen an MTT review I don’t know how previous ones deployed droids but this looks impressive and I’m leaning more towards getting this sooner rather than later and I’m at a point where I will support any kind of separatist set as LSW needs more of them

Been thinking about it now seeing as the MTT and the BP are linked to Felucia. I just wished that instead of the CTT Lego had done and AT-OT for the 327th and made the big BP for the galactic marines. of these 2 legions I’d rather build up more marines than the 327th, to me all I need is B2 in orange and green in the same style as the 501st etc and we’ve got a bloody rainbow of clones. But yeah the marines are unique look and design whereas if I went colour blind tomorrow I wouldn’t be able to tell which legion is which for all the others. But I know I’m on my own with this little moan this wave could have been the greatest in a long time but it’s been let down by Lego greed these rrp prices are not inflationary. Maybe the designers are trying to bankrupt the clone bros so that they can be free to make other sets again :D

So with the battle pack, the 501st 2020 one was 4 figures, 2 B1s, a walker and speeder, the 2024 had 4 clones, more droids, a speeder, turret and big droid thing. They felt like it was good value especially the 2024 one got all the separatist stuff while adding about £8-9 on to what a normal 4 figure BP would cost. I wonder if the fleet troopers vs Stormtrooper anniversary bp was a test to see if they could get away with less figures and higher price? I mean I bought one and figured the extra price was for the anniversary figure which I thought was a bit much but it also Lego store exclusive so knew the price would never go down. but now 4 figures, 3 droids and bigger droid build and a walker for the same price as the anniversary one is madness. At minimum to justify the price rise and get similar amount for the set they should have put in a BARC speeder in at least. Or some other kind of swamp speeder or something. I still don’t get the £10 price hike inflation can’t have been so bad in 20 months. The only thing that gives me hope is this battlepack will be in lots of shops and I except it Will go on a big discount. battlepacks used to be something you could get with a bit of pocket money, now you need to remortgage you house just to get one. A lot of other themes still have the cheapish sets that kids can get with a bit of pocket money but I feel bad for kids today who can’t get these kind of sets. im glad that a lot of people both here and on Reddit are not happy about the price rise I seem to remember a similar uproar when the Ahsoka clones went up in price and Lego changed it last minute.

The battle pack pic is out, they’ve ditched the terrain from the prelim but for that price a side build or another speeder or something is needed. It’s good if it was at last years price of £25 but I don’t see the extra £10 in this yet

I agree but also, Why would they put the same figure from the UCS set and actively hurt sales of that set into a system set a 1/5 of the price?

No battle pack leaks yet guess leakers gotta sleep lol well in the U.K. most came out before midnight with the official pics over night. curios to see what changes have been made since the prelims. For me the figures look pretty good. Even the AT-ST pilot looks great. Don’t think the Jango figure has changed from the version I have from 10 years ago. My only complaint would be to swap Ki adi for an extra marine but I suppose I’ll have to wait for the marine to pop up in a magazine. By the sound of it there are only two possible sets so far for M&G and they aren’t spoiler ish to say. AT-AT is in the trailer and the new razor crest. i would eat my hat if they didn’t release another wave for M&G in May. The film waves from R1, TFA and TLJ were elite and I have high hopes for them to give it everything it’s the first film for the 2020s and if it fails we are in a bad place.

The MTT and commandos look pretty cool. its my first chance to get an MtT and CTT so im pretty hyped for them
