Is K2SO a new mold? like the look of the figures but only 4 in the set that’s disappointing imo. depending on what may the 4th promo is will determine if I pick this up straight away or wait for a sale -

I feel like they won’t, in the new Tudor house set they used parts of the B1 in a new colour. Tbh I’ve still got B1s that are from the original sets and it’s just the arms that are the issue but Lego throw in so many spare arms you can easily replace them. I’m of the view if it ain’t broken don’t fix it. The B2s on the other hand were fundamentally in need of a redesign which they’ve done. -

Also ninjago, city and dreamz themes all in house and don’t have to worry about licence fees which can mean more budget for figures, moulds and even cheaper sets. -

Whether we like it or not don’t think anyone would have ever predicted the kind of sets we are going to get or have just had over the past few years. The meme wave, getting Jedi bob, Rex in a UCS and then in the cheapest set possible within a year. Buildable droids after more buildable droids. You can only wonder what they’ll do next year but the theme has changed and obviously Lego must be raking in the money otherwise they would be releasing different sets -

Fair enough. Depends on what the pics reveal and how good the set and figs look. Am I right in thinking they tried releasing one before and it got cancelled? But I agree that BP would have been a better option. If anything they should be the BP this summer and the Blys clones should be an AT-OT which again like the UT-AT doesn’t have much screen time but probably a bit more recognisable as we’ve already had one years ago. also I’m probably that guy that thinks of clones that way. Blue ones killed the Jedi, Orange ones shot Kenobi, the Green ones are clone scout troopers, the clone snow troopers and the red ones couldn’t find Yoda. I’ve never cared about the legions or their names they just looked cool, which probably makes me the sucker for SW marketing lol. also after this year I am done with Clones -

For me since watching as a kid I’ve wanted them and then when original battlefront 2 came out wanted them more. I always thought they were just Clone snow troopers and that was enough for me. Even now that’s what I think of them as and I don’t care. I’m just glad they are doing them after all this time of wanting them -

So apparently May the 4th promo has 3 minifigures. Let’s hope they aren’t anything to do with Clones -

So I missed a few posts and must admit it took me longer than it should to realise what mf you guys been referring to I thought it was something completely different. I forget how long the microfighter series has been running for. If I’m not mistaken they have yet to do what the rest of LSW has done and repeat themselves. I’d say long may it continue as it is tragically the only cheap SW sets we get nowadays -

It’s varies. We know like for icons in November what the GWP is for the Star Trek set but we don’t know anything about May hopefully will be soon -

I follow a page on Instagram where they go through new sets and show new pieces or ones that are recolours of existing etc pretty good imo think it’s called new elementary with regards to a CMF I always liked the idea of following the marvel one and doing a Disney + CMF so you know figures from Mando, Kenobi, TBoBF, Ahsoka, TBB, Acolyte, Skeleton Crew even that lot would take 3 series but could get a decent covering with them. I’ve been saying it for ages now with the way Lego is we all can’t be happy because SW is too big and too many eras and shows you just have to take it on the chin and be happy to save some money when sets don’t come out that you like -

My daughter is 2.5 and she loved the Peppa Pig sets and she’ll love the Bluey ones in the summer. I’m hoping she’ll take an interest in Lego not too fussed about what theme though. My daughter and my son (when he gets born in a few weeks) are going to have all my old old sets (adventures, city sets from the 90s, 00s Harry Potter). Eventually with the way Lego is going some of my collection will probably make them some money. But I’m not going to pressure them on what themes they like god only knows what themes they’ll have in a few years from now. I know it’s odd but I wish Lego would lay off on having as many licensed themes as they do these days I do miss some of the old school ones. In the same breath those licenses are keeping Lego alive, just sucks there’s no castle theme, or adventures theme like I had growing up back in the day -

Well we had the dual on Naboo, the dual from TFA, the original Dooku vs Yoda set among others all were decent sets with decent prices. I get people want highly detailed sets that are accurate and what not but these cheaper sets gave us the figures and the beautiful thing about with LEGO is you can customise these things. Kids make their own canon and I think Lego is in danger of losing that with the lack of these cheaper sets -

Also Lego used to be cheapish. Battle packs being £10 was pocket money. Then you had several sets that were 20-40 pound which again was within reason. Now cheapest sets are £40 to start with parents ain’t got the money to spend loads it’s either this or that whereas before there was more room to buy more things. The shift to adults means they can charge more because we have more money. controversial opinion I know but all the dioramas are and could be cheap system scale sets. I remember yodas hut, an Endor speeder chase and the final dual all being fairly cheapish sets at some point. At some point the price rises will haunt lego. Even the idea of a £1000 set is just crazy -

I’d say certainly for Harry Potter vast majority of sets are location sets, which is why they redo the castle every few years because most of the films are based there. There’s only realistically a handful of vehicles they could do as a set. I think it is quite easy for that theme to have the basics while also doing some of the more adult bigger sets. I’ve said a few times that they have very good coverage of the films in LEGO format. SW is massive 11 films, multiple TV shows, multiple games and animated series all part of its canon it’s impossible to get the right balance even before the shift to adult sets It’s harder for SW but without sounding like an entitled gatekeeper I think Covid is the main reason to blame for the big shift to adults only sets. -

I do half wonder if the person who said we were getting the Death Star playset last year had actually just saw prelims of the UCS one for this year? For a lot of leakers to have got it so wrong at the time was strange but now hearing the rumors of this years UCS can’t help thinking maybe they had a sneak peek ready for this year -

Clones bros don’t exist in the real world they are a boogeyman created by the rest of AFOLs. They only come out in the form of wannabe you tubers/tik tokers and influencers. I think this whole argument is all on everyone’s own perception. Most of us on here share a concern about the number of 18+ buildable sets coming but there might be some who are creaming their pants over it and that’s good for them, only good for us in the sense we save some money. The nature of the beast now is what limited sets we get more will be disappointed rather than happy. Star Wars is massive just think of how many eras there are, old republic, high republic, PT, CW, Empire, Mandoverse, Sequel Trilogy and it’s only ever going to grow. We can all agree that there is at least something in SW we don’t like. im far from a clone bro im viewing these sets more from a ROTS kind of view rather than CW. I’ve wanted galactic marines since old Battlefront 2 came out. I guarantee they will never do some of these sets/vehicles again. This year is an oddity in the sense that we’ve been spoilt with SW content for years on end and this year we’ve already had 50% of the new stuff coming out. I expect next year to be more normal with the Mando film coming and possibly/hopefully other series coming. I despised last years summer wave and I only picked up a few figures that I wanted I saved so much and I think for those who are disappointed I’d do the same and if you guys are truly annoyed at the clown focused sets show Lego by not buying them it’ll only be when sales are down that they might look and see/realise that sometimes they can take things too far (5 buildable figures at the same time)(4 clone focused sets) also tbf this year we’ve got a couple of CW sets, a few ROTS, a couple of AOTC, an ATST so that ROTJ, a battle pack from Ahsoka, and an Andor set, that’s not the worse spread in sets in the world over a whole year. i also find it hard to compare Lego year by year purely because last year was an anniversary other years had new films, new series so no two/theee years will ever be the same. long story short we will never be happy and unfortunately we will have to accept it -

If we assume R1 is included we could throw in some Death Troopers as well? The mould will be in use for the BP may as well get your moneys worth out of them. Might be a few tie pilots as well If they speculating that it’s going to be the most expensive and have the most minifgiures you would hope for some variety and new characters but honestly what do you fill it with? vast majority of imperial officers look the same white guys grey uniform only their ranks are different and only a few people know and fewer care about the ranks being right and even fewer would trust Lego to get them right. maybe this was the Death Star playset that was rumoured from last year? -

Don’t know if anyone else has seen on Reddit. But there’s some more details about this years sets. u wing looks like we are getting Cassian, K2, Dedra and some stormtroopers. Does make me wonder how donwscaled this version would be but glad about the choice of figures. Also getting at least 2 galactic marines in the UT-AT (i hope there is more!) If Chewbacca is one then can only mean it’s going to be like the last one and show scenes from both films (hopefully R1 as well). 40 minimum figures makes sense if it’s covering more than just the one film. I don’t have the money to spend on a Death Star but it sounds more and more interesting -

A Jango slave 1 at the scale of Bobas from the Mandolorian would be good imo. 40 figures sounds like a good number not sure what the last ones had. I wonder if they’ll just base it off ROTJ or add ANH scenes and even R1. i know im in the minority here but iam genuinely looking forward to these summers sets hoping to get more details and eventually pics (i know they are months away) -

Well it was rumoured we were getting a separatist leader with the MTT I wonder if the leakers have just not seen the figure so they can’t leak what we are getting yet. -

I do wonder if Bly was in the battle pack how much would people have moaned about having a named character in an army builder, the same way people weren’t wanting Enoch in the night trooper one for a similar reason. Now that he’s coming in the MTT I think it’s ok I was already going to get it now I’m certain to. My wallet is crying though and I’ve got a child on the way in March so with the way Lego is going gonna have to prioritise. -

That and Also wasn’t the helmet attachment which first came in the 501st specialist pack essentially designed with Bly in mind? It would be strange for Lego to do a P1 commander and then have his troops in P2 armour. also wasn’t a separatist leader teased in the MTT? From what I read on the post it’s just saying what’s included but he didn’t say that was the final figure selection. They might not have settled on a final figure count yet. Am I wrong in thinking didn’t the last MTT only have Obi Wan, Qui Gon and a Naboo guard? As proper figures it’s bad for the set but it’s not like a drastic change and again I have a feeling that it’s not the final figure count for that set -

Do Lego still use angry clone head for any figures? I’m so glad they moved on using that in every battle pack/set. Do you think we will get more info about the May sets soon? I want to know what to expect from the U wing and any potential gwp that’s coming for May the 4th -

Maybe he isn’t easily recognisable from any prelim pics or they haven’t shown the actual figures. Would be odd if they don’t include him then we also haven’t had a clone commander in such a “cheap” set in recent years. Was there not something teased about gold leader a while back? we all assumed either Enoch or the guy from ANH but I mean Lando was gold leader for Endor so you never know your wish could be closer than you think. -

Could be another Yodas Jedi Starfighter lol. i wouldn’t put too much faith in it being to long after a show has aired for a set to come out. Especially as last years we had Mando S3 set a couple of years after being out and then Ahsoka sets last year and this year which again is coming a while after the series release. Am I the only one hoping the night troopers aren’t the zombie versions? Also don’t generally like their design I just prefer normal stormtroopers and normal death troopers. with regards to the battle pack I like the sound of it, wonder what the walker will be like. If it’s oversized, if it’s going to be similar colours to the battalion like the 501st one, happy they aren’t putting more B1s in the battle pack as well, just wish they could chuck in a droideka or two in one of these sets one day. again I’d like the sound of the B1 buildable if it was the only one on the shelves
