  1. I'm glad the sniper's binoculars are white and unprinted, hopefully it comes with an extra so I can pretend all of my extra clone commanders from command stations are just Bly and the 327th
  2. Looks like a pic of the Tuscan Raider Brickheadz is out. Interesting techniques for the mouthpiece, and looks pretty good as far as Brickheadz go.
  3. Not sure about the quinjet. I know this is blasphemy, but I think it should have more studs overall and should have used a similar technique to the Blue Power Jet for the wings. The rear landing gear 100% need to be modded if I do end up getting it (which I honestly might). I do love the triple windscreen technique used on the front and the sizeable interior though, and I'm sure it looks even better from a higher angle.
  4. I want the theme to return as much as anyone, but I can't spend $500 on a Lego set and Brickheads aren't my thing, so its hard to get excited.
  5. For me, the wings obscure so much of the fuselage in most of its shots that it doesn't have a very recognizable shape
  6. I know its missing accessories, but Promobricks did mention that "no shoulder bag and no backpack are used"
  7. A neck bracket with a 1x1 printed tile on it would make it a ton better, but even if it is fake I don't think the real one will be much different
  8. If they were, the 60080 space shuttle wouldn't've had that ball joint part connecting the shuttle to the fuel tank... snapped in half twice before I gave up and took the whole thing apart.
  9. That is exactly why I'm not buying any of them! It's not just the size but the shaping looks wrong from every angle except top down. The only reason I would get it is to use the rotor guards for Hailfire droid wheels, but that is not nearly worth $100
  10. If they scale down a Scorpion to the size of the Samson, I could see it at less than $30, but with inflation the way it is and Lego's reluctance to make anything military related, its not likely
  11. Wow, it looks even better IRL than it does in the renders!
  12. That one comes later in the series, once they get the name "Muunilinst 10" after the battle of Muunilinst. Speaking of, the M10 gunship should be sand blue, not dark blue as many MOCs have done. Not sure if there are enough parts in that color, but I think it matches the cartoon best.
  13. Its actually a little continuity error, the Muunilist gunship is a standard LAAT/i (minus turrets) with blue markings instead of red, switches to the standard red about 10 seconds before it is shot down, and switches back to blue when we see it through the droid sniper's scope
  14. I mean, the '03 CW wasn't supposed to be anything other than a toy commercial, so I guess it makes sense why more toys of it are being made I could see this as two different sets at $140 and $30 at least. If we do get a Fordo and ARC Lieutenants, I hope they have cloth pauldrons instead of printed stuff so we can switch out the (probably) printed kama legs and remove the pauldron so we can have a standard captain and lieutenant. A hailfire tank would be perfect though, as the perfect wheel piece just came out in the Avatar helicopter.
  15. It doesn't have to be "groundbreaking" to still be a fantastic build! The combination of sideways building and space shuttle wing edge look fantastic together
  16. Zeta Class Cargo Shuttle ($160): shuttle with a small section of landing platform with barrels and a control panel and Shoretrooper Captain, Jyn Erso (ground crew disguise), Bodhi Rook, Cassian Andor (Imperial Officer disguise), K-2SO, Paodok'Draba'Takat Sap'De'Rekti Nik'Linke'Ti' Ki'Vef'Nik'NeSevef'Li'Kek
  17. Octuptarra Magna Tri-Droid $70: Anakin, P2 Rex, Republic Crosshair, Wrecker Based on S7E3 of the Clone Wars, this would provide a good counterpart to the AT-TE, providing more desirable characters with a good build. Crosshair would probably have a reprinted standard helmet, but it could at least fit a rangefinder now, along with Rex. Not sure if I would put the time into making new moulds for the techno union droids, although a Wat Tambor would be very much appreciated. I mostly just want this so the (hopefully) inevitable gunship isn't a CW version to include Rex just because of my own bias (I watched the CW movie when it came out, decided it was dumb, and didn't watch any other episodes until long after the show ended, plus it is much easier to mod an episodes gunship into a CW gunship than the other way around) and to flesh out the pretty lackluster droid vehicles we've gotten recently.
  18. I sacrifice proportion frequently in my MOCs, but I feel like its a lot harder to get away with when you are recreating a semi human form. Even without comparing the photos you can innately tell the body is just too long
  19. The Disney castle (currently $350) makes me think a minifig compatible Minas Tirith can be done fairly well at a $500 price point. Of course it wouldn't have all 7 layers, but I think as few as 3 could get the idea across. Besides, we don't know for sure if this is $530 like the Razor Crest was rumored to be before its price hike to $600.
  20. I'll do you one better and just post the real thing! (99% done, just a handful of pieces missing) Not sure what you expected to see on the underside other than the ugly side of plates, but here you go! I will post better pics this weekend when I get my light and background set up for my YouTube video Also instructions are here! https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-124928/ForgedInLego/republic-dropship-v2-works-with-both-2013-and-2022-at-tes/#details
  21. It is 1319 parts, I don't think many of them are too expensive, but Studio's price estimator is giving me weird numbers. I would guess around $200 after shipping from multiple sellers, but keep in mind that I have used Bricklink twice so far, buying exactly 3 parts other than minifigs.
  22. I'm no expert, but I would guess you'd be lucky to get less than $30. C3P0 from the UCS Landspeeder is going for around $20, but he is in a cheaper set and has a ton of different (less expensive) variants.
  23. Thanks! I usually prioritize function over form in my MOCs, but I had to make very few compromises on this one (although the handle and trigger stick out a bit further than I would like)
  24. I'm lucky enough to have the old Helm's Deep, so I would love to see some locations that haven't gotten a set yet, like Minas Tirith. I think Barad Dur is at the top of my list though, it would be interesting to see what kind of interior Lego comes up with
  25. Well, this single image took like 6 hours just to render on my potato computer, but I finished building the Studio model and I can get started on instructions! You can probably see the resemblance to the UCS Gunship a little more clearly now, but I'm curious how you all feel about the studs vs smooth and light grey vs white I have on the model. There are always going to be studs because of the wedge plates, so I decided to just run with it, and I think I'm happy with the result.
