LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!
Yperio_Bricks replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
To answer this question I was browsing through the list of sets at brickset and realized that I bought only one Lego Star Wars set in 2025: Plo Koon's Starfighter. I guess that has to be the best set for me this year Next year we have at least the Vanth/Bane set, which I'll plan to get for the minifigs, although I would have prefered a Mos Pelgo bar (facade) instead of a speeder. Maybe the unknown rebel and imperial sets turn out to be good?! -
Probably not, apart from some basic ship building parts... at least the deck has a suitable color Medium Nougat?

[BRICKLINK] 910053 The Thieves of Tortuga
Yperio_Bricks replied to Retrocity's topic in LEGO Pirates
Nobody knows for sure I guess. I also read that the production capacity was shifted from one set to the other when it became apperent that not all sets would reach the 30.000 limit. So how knows if there ever was a limit of 180.000? I also read in the comments that in fact Lego has the right to produce more sets than announced and some of these sets were sold at the inside Tour and Fan Tour. Since Lego acts like a secret service, we will never know for sure how many sets will get produced Kirk wrote in the comments: and -

They didn't mention how these figures were achieved. In earlier posts they wrote they were extracted from the HTML code, so maybe they used the same method, but I can't tell. Also, when I check the numbers, 139.814 sets from 1500.000 sets is 93,2% and not 93,3%. But I always was bad at math, so what do I know -

Silly idea: A LEGO-themed TTRPG
Yperio_Bricks replied to Karalora's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Kiddicraft is also developing a dungeon crawler TTRPG called Herocraft Dungeons together with boardgame publisher Pegasus. You might want to check the prototype out one on youtube. It's in German though, so I don't know how accurate the English AI voice channel is. The Herocraft dungeon sets will also be compatible with the RPG. -
What’s the most you’ve spent on a single piece?

It's Marrok, an inquisitor. When I look up the price of the crown on PAB it's €8.88 yikes. Even more than a cow! -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Yperio_Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Boooo! First the F1 cars and now this. I mean, animal costumes are fine and many people like them, but why dedicate a full series? -

Yperio_Bricks replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The Maul issue we get afterwards (8 August in Germany) comes with a tin box, so I guess the price will stay high. The price of the magazine is also printed on the backside now. So most people will only notice it when they check-out. -

The price for the upcomming Lego Star Wars Magazine, coming with Ahsoka, is 8 kriffin' Euros Nobody should buy this. It's almost double the Bricklink price of the minifig I wonder how much the magazine costs in different countries. Or is it the same price everyhwere? -
Nice to meet you @MikeTheBuilder Welcome to Eurobricks

[MOC] Along the Silk Road
Yperio_Bricks replied to T-86(swebrickLUG)'s topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Very nice moc! My favorite part of the build is actually the building on the right with the enclosure and henhouse and of course with the causing havoc on the roof The door of that building also looks great! And those imperial helmets from Star Wars come in handy! Great job all around!- 10 replies

Sorry, but why do you ask questions when you know the answers already? Lego is the biggest toy manufacturer in the world, so of course none of the other companies has reached the same scale of business operations. And of course you know that I don't have the financial data from all the other companies that are producing pirate sets

Ahoy! Trader Brick making port
Yperio_Bricks replied to Trader Brick's topic in Hello! My name is...
Welcome to Eurobricks! Great to have you aboard @Trader Brick -
10 years have past and there are much more people into bricks right now. All the other companies sell pirate sets. Just some examples: Bluebrixx offers ships and the whole modular island line, Pantasy offers the fancy and flamboyant Pirate Pub, there are brick companies I have never heared of selling pirate ships such as the Flying Dutchman and locations and even the smallest company of them all, the new Kiddicraft, sells a pirate battlepack with 5 minifigs. The question is, how all these companies can live off these pirate sets while Lego can not. So what is the answer? Would Lego Pirates sets sell so badly, that it would be a loss-making business?? A loss-making business for Lego while all the other companies make profit? And there's always POTC for Lego. And it is the same for castle, even more so! I want to understand so badly why Lego can't make pirate sets while others can!

Isaac Newton's torso now up at PAB online (Maybe out of stock right now).
-
That's exactly what I want to say! No need for a larger sample size. I am just mocking the BDP a bit because as I said above, for me the BDP sets are not official ones and I think Lego uses the BDP to throw crumbs to the fans so they do not question too much the absence of these themes in the offical catalogue. But again, we have seen many awesome designs within the BDP! But for me these BDP set can not replace a wave of official pirate sets, or castle sets, or trains or.... you name it.

Why no Jaxxon in the snowspeeder? Sales of the set would explode, no? -
I don't think a poll on a Lego fan site is representative of the general population
-
Maybe we should ask the general population if BDP sets are official Lego sets rather than listen to what Lego says themselves. "We are live as we speak and will now get the results from our reporters in the shopping malls and downtown areas of the world. Oh wait, so 99.8% of the population have never heared of such a thing?" Maybe I am joking, maybe not For me the BDP sets are no official sets because I can not go to a store an buy them. These sets are simply a fan service for a very small group of people. Personally I will never get one of the sets. Of course I don't want to take away anything from the designs and we have seen some great mocs from talented builders. Great sets, some of which I wish I could buy, you know, going into a store and pick them up.... I feel like Lego is fine with throwing some die-hard fans a few crumbs, some trains, castle and pirates sets, so these fans do not riot too much... Maybe it was not like this when BDP was all new and fresh but it certainly feels like this now
