José's Inn - Ye Olde BoBS Drinking Hole
Yperio_Bricks replied to Darnok's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Tales of Old happens before BotBS in the timeline? Judging by the coat of arms it is a Castle RPG? Can we consider BotBS dead at this point? -
Fantastic models They looks like movie props! So you play some kind of tabletop game with the Star Wars figures @DarthTwoShedsJackson?

Amazing diorama The houses look fantastic and there are so many great details like the broken windows, like the graffiti and brickbuild shop signs, the surveillance cameras and ATM, the cars and many more! And there are so many stories, like the cop hiding in the bushes or the zombie chained to the downpipe. And the diorama is huge! Great job all around

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes
Yperio_Bricks replied to Wardancer's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
You quoted me too fast I think the price at ALDI was 2,99€ but I don't remember exactly. 2€ Damn, I have not been in a Netto for years. If only I knew they had the D&D series! Everywhere I went, the scalpers had cleared everything. It was the same for the Wolfpack Beastmaster. I only got one because a fellow AFOL sent me one as a gift. But I never found one in a store. Maybe the Horse Knight King would qualify as a CMF minifig. Actually, the crown and hair piece was introduced with a CMF minifig 10 years ago. -

To bad there's no Netto anywhere near me The price was 2,99€ like for the F1 CMF at ALDI? That is exactly why I wrote "detailed CMF quality minifigs" because for me there is a differents between that and regular minifigs that are available at PAB. For example the Wolfpack beastmaster comes with printed arms and legs, a shield, a non-standard cape and a wolf versus the Wolfpack guy from the Town square. Of course it is best to get as many variations as possible for kitbashing, so both are welcome. -

A normal series would be welcome and give us the chance to get some historic minifigs. Castle, Pirates,.... -

[POLL] Rate the 10365 Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Ship
Yperio_Bricks replied to Yperio_Bricks's topic in LEGO Pirates
This This would be amazing! Such a ship I would buy! I mean, the Black Pearl looks good for an official set and I rated it 8/10, but personally I have zero interest in a black ship -

Yeah, same here. Another wasted year. The F1 CMF even showed up at German ALDI discount supermarkets for a reduced price. You know what that means Something like this would never happen with a castle or history themed CMF. If Lego would do a castle CMF it would be the best selling CMF by far. People would buy the minifigs in great masses. But the thing is, if people could buy detailed CMF quality castle minifigs for €3,99, would they still buy the overpriced sets? I hope Lego proves me wrong, but I think that's the reason why we did not get one yet and it looks bad for the future imo. -
Unpopular Opinions about LEGO
Yperio_Bricks replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yes it is exhausting! It's like a whole new hobby. Feels like people are more interested to get recognition as a designer of a Ideas or Bricklink set than building with Lego. Lego bricks are just a necessity to get there. Same goes for all the rebrickable ads. Its not a hobby but a business. So why they have to spam hobby forums? -

I wonder how stable the whole DS slice is? The thing is hugh and the base is so small. It looks like it could topple over at any time. -

LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!
Yperio_Bricks replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
For me the top three are: Aayla (the best 2025 minifig by a country mile) Clone Cadet ISB Tactical Agent I don't own any of them though. The Clone Cadet has a very useful torso and legs for kitbashing. I imagine some kind of corporate security trooper (with different arms and heads and a helmet). Since I bought only the microfighter, Plo Koon is the only 2025 minifig I own. Depressing actually -
That is such a cool moc! I remember playing the game like 25 years ago. Although I liked Fallout 2 more because there was no time limit in the game (if I remember correctly there was a time limit in the first Fallout).

This is so funny Funny and tragic. The higher-ups in those mega companies really have detached themselves from reality. At least from the reality the rest of the population is living in. Louvre should take some notes. People will from now on come to visit and see 'Leonardo's painting' or spend their holidays in New York City too see some 'high building' LMAO As for the set, it's an easy pass. Bring on 2026!

That's a great little ship! I really like the first picture, even if the shallow depth of field makes it hard to make out some of the details.... A dashing small boat in dark waters in front of a mysterious jungle island
