Yperio_Bricks replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It's 2025 and brickbuild horses in a set with minifigs are so very out of place, it's farcical -

[OFFICIAL] One Piece LEGO Theme - PRE-ORDERS
Yperio_Bricks replied to thewatchman's topic in LEGO Pirates
Exactly! A POTC wave of five sets with three smaller location sets and two larger ships would be fantastic! Sadly at this point is unimaginable that such a wave would ever be possible again for Lego POTC I've lost all hope. -
The part in question was first released in 2023 and has been around since then. ID is 2630: https://www.lego.com/de-de/pick-and-build/pick-a-brick?query=2630 When I ordered it in 2023 I believed it was a string with thicker segments but was surpised to find out it was a flex tube when the order arrived

[OFFICIAL] One Piece LEGO Theme - PRE-ORDERS
Yperio_Bricks replied to thewatchman's topic in LEGO Pirates
There are some useful minifig torsos that i like. And I like the Going Merry more than the Creator 3 in 1 Pirate Ship. Though the only set I see myself getting is the small beach bar. With a bit of luck one of the useful torsos will eventually show up at PAB, like it happened for other licensed themes before -
Now that all One Piece sets have leaked there are some interesting parts: few useful minifigure parts, the rowing boat in what looks like medium nougat to me and of course the Going Merry ship. The smallest set, Partys Bar, looks like it can easily be turned into a pirate bar.

I don't think so. I agree with @Elephant Knight, it's very well incorporated into the design of the belt on the back. But we now have the answer why there is an odd pirate amongst the Dreamzzz minifigs. He is one himself -

It's a rather subtle addition to the pirate's diagonal belt, so it kinda works out well. Picture is available at promobricks. -

It looks like the pirate is actually a Dreamzzz character, like the others from the BAM line-up. He has the dream chasers hourglass emblem on the back. -

I don't know the anime and as a Pirates fan I didn't expect much but I am positively surprised by the ship! Hope we get better pictures soon -

2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Yperio_Bricks replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It looks like a cool and fun action/adventure set, but not like a medieval castle. It's something Ninjago could do today. Different roof colors, different colored flags and heraldry, different architectural features are great and welcome! But a european style castle made of pitch black lava rock is not something I can like. It's hard for me to express myself well in Englisch. Even as a kid, growing up with all the classic castle stuff, I always tried to be as realistic (within the limitations of a toy of course and within the limitations of the Lego parts at hand) with my mocs and i tried to meet the realism I saw in books, castles we visited, museums and yes, in movies. Maybe 'realistic' is a too strong word - we are talking about a toy, but I hope you get what I mean. It's hard to express sometimes I very much liked the forestmen minifigures back in the day, but the black trees - yikes. The good people of the forest aka Robin Hood and company were frequent guests in my children's room in the 90s. -

How's the general opinion on black castles? I must admit, even as a kid I disliked them very much and that opinion has not changed ever since. I know it's a toy, but black castles look so unrealistic. -
I too think it is reddish orange.

2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Yperio_Bricks replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I don't want to take away from the vending machine build in any way, but I think the ugly truth is, most people are only interested in the minifigs and Lego basically turned this set into a minifig pack with a sidebuild. And of course with a large sidebuild they will make more money compared to a $40 people pack like the 60234 Fun Fair. If the minifigs would be in sets that match their respective themes or in a people pack or would be available at PAB right away, would there be any incentive to buy the vending machine set? Mostly only people who want the minifigs NOW are going to buy the set, the rest is waiting until they appear at PAB -

I am not expert, but it looks pretty funny how it sticks out almost horizontally. Maybe from the side (or any other angle) it looks better? EDIT: Generally i prefer cloth capes, pauldrons and waist capes. -

Sea Serpent by HallowedBrick02 won the 'A Twist of Nostalgia' contest and will be a GWP, probably next year!
