Me too! System playsets and minifigures! That's why it is so sad to see more and more sets that are not playsets. -
LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Yperio_Bricks replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
So so far we have the following rumors for 2025. I had to write it down, because, i mean, look at this Buildable Bo Katan Helmet Buildable Star Wars Logo Buildable Grogu & Pram Midiscale Acclamator Midiscale Home One Ashoka's Jedi Interceptor ARC-170 Starfighter 4+ N1 Starfighter At this rate there won't be any playsets and minifigures at all in 2 or 3 years. Of course i am exaggerating but as someone pointed out earlier we already experience a sharp decline in the number of minifigs we get each year and the future is not looking bright when there will be so many 18+ sets. Who is buying these sets? I am shocked. -

[POLL] Which Prizes Do You Find Most Enticing?

Wasn't the number of available prizes fixed by Lego? Is it now possible to get more but cheaper prizes? Or more prizes in general? -

So i hope we get her after the Clone then (in Germany). -
Great moc! I like everything about it! The arches, the windows, the tower with the awning, the decorations at the top of the left wall and details like the ladder and table and of course the map. Now i want to watch the series again! Have you thought about building a base for the moc? From a compository stand point, the floor looks thin when compared with the other elements (that create the room where the scene is playing). Really looking forward to your future GoT mocs!

General Pirates Musings/Chit Chat Thread
Yperio_Bricks replied to Captain Pirate Man's topic in LEGO Pirates
A frigate, nice! I agree, the molded hull pieces always seemed to be a little to narrow. I always wonderd if it is possible to cut them in half and add some bricks in between I only have pictures of the old technique. Maybe I can create a mock-up later to compare the two. My main problem with trans light blue tiles was, that you can see the studs of the base layer very prominently shining through, no matter which color you put underneath them. In pictures this effect is reduced by the angle in which the photo was taken but when I stood in front of a build I never really liked it. For this reason I used trans dark blue, which in turn has its own disadvantages. But with a trans light blue plate under the trans light blue tile, the studs become much better covered and this will be the technique I'll use going forward. -

Looking forward to learn more about your project! Any hints you can give us? I also have started ordering some parts for a Pirates project. I want to build my own version of my favorite Pirates set, Lagoon Lock-Up. In the past I used trans dark blue tiles above black plates for the water but i was never really satisfied with this solution. So i ordered parts for a new sandwich approach with trans light blue tiles, trans light blue plates in the center and black plates (or other colors to create changes in water depth) as a base. That looks much better but needs also more parts. I imagine a fortress wall with a small guerite/echauguette/watchtower at the left top corner of the wall. In front of the wall on the left a small tavern building. Then a large gate in the center and of course the jail on the right side. No cell door though Grey cobblestone ground with brown jettys to complete the waterside. -

You have to host your images at an other site, like imgur, flickr, bricksafe or any other website where you can host your images. Then add the link to the image to your eurobricks post and the picture should be shown automatically. (Best is to directly link to the image using the image adress that ends with the file format jpg or png.) -
Sorry, my bad, i thought there would be pictures but it is just a link.

I also fully agree with your observations. And thanks for the numbers. It's really sad that we get so much less minifigs nowadays. I wish my Dark Ages had ended earlier So I was just browsing through brickset, looking at some sets and one picture from the 75396 Desert Skiff & Sarlacc Pit is even a bit funny (I erased Boba and the Sarlacc that were shown below the skiff). With the aforementioned absence of a guard it looks almost a bit comical. Four friends on a boat: EDIT: Of course i will still get the set -

I just hope there's no yellow skin printed on the torso of Jedi Bob. In the pictures his neckline is obscured by the hood and cape. -

So far none of the upcomming 2025 sets is interesting to me, but that fits nicely with my plans to reduce Lego money next year Also in my opinion there are too many buildable creatures, buildable droids, mini and midi sets, helmets. etc in LSW nowadays. -
