  1. This might sound like quite a stupid question, but I see that on this website many AFOL's do a lot of different things with their Lego. I personally display my sets and I occasionally make some brickfilms. I thought it would be interesting to find the most popular AFOL activity! If you do more than one thing with your Lego (which most of you probably do) try and pick the thing you mainly do
  2. I like the models in Advent Calendars, as long as they are unique and interesting. A good example of this are the awesome Star Wars micro builds. I don't like the catapults or weapon racks because I can't do much with them. Most of the time they end up being taken apart. Oh and I agree, a Lord of the Rings Advent Calendar would be awesome! But what would the models be?
  3. DC: Alfred Lucius Fox Firefly (based on his Knightfall version) Mad Hatter (based on his Arkham games version) Ra's al Ghul (in his Lego Batman 2 design) Talia al Ghul Killer Croc Green Lantern Sinestro Brainiac Supergirl Green Arrow Martian Manhunter Bigfigs: Clayface Venom Bane? I'm happy that we got Nightwing, Batgirl, 2 new Robins, Flash and Manbat in this wave!
  4. Very good! I love the design of the small boat
  5. This is why I think it's a good model of Minas Tirith. It looks a bit out of scale with the figures but when there are no figures it looks pretty good.
  6. You might as well buy the small Electro set and sell all of it apart from Spidey.
  7. If the minifigure can be easily changed into a generic looking grunt I don't mind. I really don't like some of the Star Wars battle packs because you get two 'bomber' clones that are bright orange, which makes it very hard to use that battle pack as an army builder.
  8. I think it could be done like this: http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/36275
  9. Maybe the creeper is still being worked on. Or, at least I hope so... The skeleton looks a bit strange because the head is a different colour to the body.
  10. My dream final wave: £10: Minas Tirith battle pack: 2 Gondorian soliders, 2 orcs. £20: Balrog ambush: Gandalf the Grey, Moria Orc, Boromir. The set is the Balrog, who is equipped with his fire whips. £20: Treebeard: Pippin, Merry, Orc captian and a brick built Treebearrd. £30: The Witch King's final battle: Ewoyn, Pippin, Witch King, Theoden. You get a birck built Fell Beast and a small piece of scenery. Large D2C set (like Orthanc): Minas Tirith: Gandalf the White, Denethor, Faramir, Merry, 3 gondorian soilders, 3 orcs. It is a giant multi story Minas Tirith. The orcs have a battering ram. This will never happen but I can dream
  11. My dream wave: £10: Battle of the Five Armies Orc battle pack: 2 orcs, 2 dwarves. The 'building' of the set is a small rock that can explode. £10: Battle of the Five Armies Elf battle pack: 2 armored elves, 2 goblins. The set comes with a small catapult and an Eagle. £30: Bolg's last stand: Fili (in dwarven amour), Kili (in amour), Bolg, 1 generic orc, 1 generic dwarf. It is a small stone cliff that can collapse. £70: Smaug the Tremendous: Bilbo, Thorin, Balin, Gloin, Oin. The set consists of a giant, brick built Smaug! It also comes with a tiny gold pile that contains the Arkenstone.
  12. I saw the Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. I would give it 9/10.
  13. I wouldn't pay. As much as I like this website I just don't think it's worth the money. Having a donation box (like other users suggested) is a very good idea!
  14. I actually quite like the design of those ores. Also, Diamond, Gold, Redstone and Iron should be made. I'm really glad the team is allowing us to see the design process of the sets this time!
  15. That's a really good minifigure! I think I won't be pre ordering the game though because I already have a big enough backlog as it is...
  16. I'm a DC guy but even I have to say those Marvel sets look great! I have no idea why Spiderman needs all those vehicles though I might pick up the set with Electro or the Doc Ock set so I can have Spiderman in my collection! The Captain America set is pretty good as well.
  17. The Adventure's of Bombur the dwarf Join Bombur and a group of various other dwarves on their mission to reclaim the Lonely pie. On his journey he will face many evil creatures such as orcs, goblins and giant spiders. Disclaimer: If you are a massive Tolkien fan you must be warned about the content of this comic. It does not fit into the Lord of the Rings timeline and is completely canon!
  18. Ooooo... very exciting
  19. I saw the film yesterday and I have some thoughts on the set designs:
  20. Wow! Mr Gold! I recently brought 9741 Uruk-hai army so I could expand my Helms Deep display.
  21. I like Minecart 3 the most because it is the most accurate compared to the game in my opinion.
  22. I prefer the Desert one myself as it looks like more of a complete structure, whilst the Jungle one is too open.
  23. Thanks for the great review WhiteFang! Emmet's happy face cracks me up
  24. DC set idea: Attack on the Fortress of Solitude: Superman, Supergirl, Green Lantern, Brainiac, Sinestro. £50 Includes a large facade of the Fortress of Solitude that is covered in lots of ice pieces. The inside is filled with various details from comics that can 'explode' as a play feature.
  25. It's a shame that we're getting two construction workers and three robots... I would have much rather had some unique characters (cough 1980's spaceman cough Johnny Thunder cough)
