I'm enjoying this reaction to the name Spin. I've known the character as Spin for the past 2 years as my son watches the show. However I've just looked back at the Lego sets before this wave and he's always been called Miles Morales: Spiderman before now.

Interesting to see the Taxi GWP is still available (in the UK at least). Wonder if that can give any indication about sales. We're all used to seeing the GWPs fly off the shelves.

How many of you bought Avengers Tower this weekend? I haven't been able to bring myself to get it yet. I'm excited to buy it, but I already got the 2 GWPs last weekend, and the Black Panther Taxi set is so dull that that hasn't pushed me into the buy camp. I'll probably wait until the next double VIP weekend and some decent GWPs before picking it up.

That sounds sensible, good shout. You get the impression there are lots of changes going on the mcu right now. It does seem daft to block an important film behind a high rating.

Yeah there's got to be a good chance of some new spiderman sets. Especially with the gaps in the mcu slate now. Hopefully there is definitely space to do some spider sets with interesting characters in. Even if they aren't directly tied into any films (across the spiderverse or madame web).

Yeah those are my thoughts too. With Ronan being a downgrade, I'm not expecting much from that set. Presumably Rocket will be a repeat (maybe new torso print?) and the ship I'd expect to be something similar to the one in the Tazerface set. So not much to appeal to someone who got those sets last time around.

Yeah thats great. I love Loki's imprint on the floor after Hulks attack. That's a great touch.

While I hope that's not the conclusion they draw, I think you could be right. I'd prefer it if they made 1 set per film, but included the main characters and villain which were decent representations. And a decent build at a fair price. Is that too much to ask? You'd imagine sales would be better if that was the case and less need to discount stuff.

New Marvels trailer is good. Seems more serious than the others with no mention of the body swapping. There are a few glimpses of the Hoopty too. Looking forward to seeing the film then picking up the hoopty at 50% off. I saw a £90 Avatar set for £44.99 today so its definitely on the cards.

Looks great. Wonder if the stand that the leviathan is on comes with it or is something the shop have built themselves. Also where are the figs?!

My first thought was the shade of green on legs and torso don't look anything like each other. But then I saw the source and it's her jacket so it makes sense.

No arm printing so it must be legit I suppose this could be from the June onwards sets? Not sure how far out these kind of leaks can happen from.

Yeah just looked it up and the detroit steel set came out in 2017, and the mini series with him in was 2020.

How many figures have we had from these things in the past? I'm guessing the detroit steel set was? I can't think of any others.

Yeah I'm exactly the same, can't wait to get it. I'm going to try and pick up a few extra figures to add to it as well. Coulson, Maria Hill, Iron Legion and Ultron sentries at the moment. I'd like Quicksilver too but can't justify the cost!

Double insider points works out at 10% so it will be about 50€. Though I have misremembered what happened last year. The double vip points was the weekend before black friday. The set released for black friday was eiffel tower, which got you 3 gwp's (eiffel's appartment, tribute to lego house and the winter elves scene). If this year is the same it will be the black panther outrider cab attack, plus two more gwps, plus insider points of 5% (€25). That will be enough for me, though I appreciate people wanting to wait for a better deal. I spend lots of time waiting for deals, and buy most sets at least 30% off. But avengers tower is too good to wait for me! Plus I don't think you will get a better discount than the 3gwps anyway +insider points anyway.

There will be multiple gwp's and double insider points on day 1 for avengers tower. I'll be buying then too! Plus the bugle price went up 10 months in so any discounts just take it back to what it was on release.

It will be discounted on lego.com at some point. There are quite a few deals on at the moment (quinjet is 25% off and some black panther sets are reduced too). At least in the UK.

yeah I'd prefer something unique rather than a duplicate. Lets be honest, if you are spending $500+ on this set, you either already have multiple cap's already. Or you wouldn't mind spending an extra $5 to get another one. As I've said before, SWAT Tony Stark would be my preference for another fig! New torso's look good, but hard to judge too much without the legs or heads/helmets too.
