it's all speculation at this point. I'm just interested in how they get to the prices they do. I'd like to think there's more going on than purely trying to rip fans off. Maybe rivendell would be a better comparison with 6000 pieces and 21 figures for $500 dollars.

How good would a knowhere set in the style of the new ninjago dtc look. 21 figures as well. Would be a great way to get the full guardians team, the collector, some random knowhere citizens. And kevin bacon. I wonder how the Avengers Tower will stack up next to the ninjago set. The tower is $150 more and 1000 fewer pieces. The license will bump the price up and presumably there will be more large pieces.

I was mostly basing that on the brickset listings. The new star Lord helmet is under gotg1 and baby groot is gotg2. We've then also had things like the advent calendar, benetar and the venomised groot that makes me think lego sees gotg as popular enough for more sets. Like I said, it's optimistic but a possibility.

I saw GOTG 3 last night. I really loved it, it was up there with the best MCU films for me, definitely the best since Endgame. The 3 Lego sets we've had are ok, but could be better. Definitely missing the high evolutionary, Kraglin, Cosmo and Gamora. The Bowie size is a bit off too. I'm optimistic that there will be more guardians sets in the future. The first 2 guardians films have had other sets released in the years afterwards. Plus there are fewer MCU films coming out in the next 18 months (from what I can gather) so there may be the opportunity for Lego to go back and do some more guardians sets.

I 100% think lego would make a set based on this scene. I don't think they would care about the people who were annoyed by it. Good spot with the source, I hadn't seen that.

I've just seen a rumour on instagram about 76266 coming out in August. Avengers Endgame Final Battle - 794 pieces with the following minifigures: Captain Marvel Scarlet Witch Valkyrie Shuri Okoye Wasp (microfig) Thanos (doesn't say if it's a standard or bigfig) This chimes with the rumour that it was the female avengers teamup scene we had a few weeks ago. Not sure how reliable mtdbricks is?

We knew the June sets would be a a bit of a bust with only a small set and the buildable figures. The August lineup looks much more promising. Plus we haven't seen the new groot yet which is supposed to come out in June too.

How likely is that? Is it typical for gwp's to go under the radar? Was it shang chi that was our last marvel gwp? How far in advance did we know about that?

Bit more info about the spiderman art set from a Bricklicker video. It will be a comic spiderman in a crawling pose but elevated to look like he's crawling out of the frame. From 2:35 onwards

It's just the captain America bike chase and venomised groot coming up for June so its likely to just be them being revealed next

I think that rumour started with a random instagram account that joined on April 1st. I don't think any of the reliable sources have shared the lineup or number of minifigs yet. We've talked about it a fair bit but the price seems way off, especially if it was just 4 figs. Hopefully there will be a flerken included. But then we hoped for Cosmo and we're dissapointed!

Yeah that how I feel too, i think the year has been pretty good so far. I'm happy with the quinjet and hulkbuster having missed previous versions of them. The gotg sets are a bit lacking but I'll pick them up when they are discounted. I'm looking forward to the Avengers Tower and cmf. The spiderman art set could be good and a few of the unrevealed sets are intriguing. There are quite a few sets I'm not picking up, but that leaves money free for other themes. Rivendell, the new pirate set and the new ninjago city are all on my list.

What are your main reasons for classing this year as a disappointment out of interest? Is that the general consensus on this forum?

Well that's why it's $50 on ebay. I imagine the price will fall in the coming months while the set is still being sold. The set itself will also be discounted soon (at least here in the uk). I'm waiting until its 30% off before picking it up. Might make it more palatable for you.

Have you seen the Harry Potter set details leaked today - 76422 -$90 - 800+ pieces and 7 minifigures.... be interesting to see how the marvels set compares to this one!

Yeah hopefully those posts aren't legit leaks. 4 figures in the marvels set and 12 in the Avengers Tower would be pretty dissapointing.

I think thats the way it will go. It would be daft to limit them to just AOU appearances when it's been in so many films. Hard to predict figures. I'd hope for something similar to the bugle which was 25, especially given the price. The bugle did feel like they put lots of effort into the figures, whereas the Sanctum was a bit lacklustre. Maybe it will depend on who the designers are and what they are pushing for.

That's good to hear. The sets are alright, but all of them are lacking in some aspects so I'll wait for a similar discount in the UK. I just picked up the quinjet for 25% off so I'll wait for something similar.

I was just thinking the official reveals won't be until mid june? Early July? Hopefully something will leak sooner but thats hard to predict!

There's not much coming out until August according to Scarilians list. I'm interested to see what the venomised groot looks like (June release date). We might be waiting a while yet.
