  1. Apparently the spiderman art set having 2099 pieces was a "total fluke". https://www.brickfanatics.com/31209-the-amazing-spider-man-reference-fluke There is no way that's a coincidence!
  2. Scarillion has it listed for $524.99 so I'd expect it to be around £450. Rivendell and the hulkbuster are similar prices with similar differences between gbp and usd.
  3. Lineup sounds great, glad that 12 fig rumour didn't come to pass. Can't wait to see the set when it's finally revealed. Glad it's whole MCU and not just AOU. One of the bugles strengths was having minifigs up the whole structure and it looks like you'll be able to do that was this too. I imagine there will be a few of the trans bars for displaying figures on the outside. I'd be amazed if Loki wasn't there too especially with 4 chitauri. I imagine they will include a small flyer from the original avengers. Wasp is interesting as it sounds like it won't be a microfig. Is she ever in the tower in the MCU? I can't remember her being there, but won't complain. It's a shame there's no quicksilver mentioned. And a Erik Selvig figure would have been good though he's pretty generic. SWAT Tony Stark would have been great too but maybe Swat figures are too far for lego.
  4. All the new gotg 3 sets are at least 20% off on amazon un the UK.
  5. A comic would be a good shout. The lego version of breaking the 4th wall.
  6. All the spider faces are now on instagram. Andrew is definitely the best, the other two are pretty generic. Also came across this. Looks like a better version of the hulkbuster using the same pieces from the set. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-149429/Ransom_Fern/76210-iron-man-mark-44-hulkbuster-alternate-build/#details
  7. From what you can see I think they look great. Andrew especially. Hopefully they aren't customs!
  8. Amazon (at least in the UK) have recently added sales stats to the lego sets listed on there. It's quite rough and done monthly (Over 100 bought, over 1000 bought etc). It's interesting to see the top 10 gross sales (this is rough maths based on the sets listed on the first 2 pages having searched for "Lego marvel") Buidlable Groot £35,000 Infinity Gauntlet £24,000 Nano Gauntlet £18,000 Spiderman car and doc ock (4+) £17,980 Spiderman vs rhino (4+) £13,500 Hulk Mech £10,990 Venom Bust £10,000 Rocket Mech £9,800 Guardians ship (Bowie) £8,990 Thanos Mech £8,792 I know this is rough, not representative of other retailers, includes discounts etc but I thought it was interesting. Could explain some of the choices we find odd. Looks like it's the mechs, 4+ and buildable objects bringing in the money
  9. Yeah I didn't think they looked very much like the film. I wasn't into lego then so had to rely on Google.
  10. I had to look up whether they released sets for the first film but apparently they did https://www.brickfanatics.com/lego-marvel-spider-man-into-the-spider-verse-sets-available-now Not that they look particularly accurate compared to the film. Hopefully they will do sets for the new film in the future. There is lots of potential, the film seems to be getting rave reviews and lego doesn't often pass up the opportunity to make spiderman sets
  11. There are alot of sets where the real life alternatives are similarly priced (pac man machine, globe, typewriter, football table etc) so they must be selling. I imagine they appeal to a wider audience than just afols. I think it looks fine, its a good display piece. I've no interest in buying it but can understand the appeal.
  12. Now we've seen the advent calendar, it looks like there are only have 6 sets we haven't seen for this year: Marvels CMF Avengers Tower Wolverine mask Spiderman art set Whatever 76246 is (might not be marvel). When do the 2024 rumours start?
  13. Overall I do like the new sets and will pick them up when I find them 20-30% off. I agree with the general senitment of the nwh set, that's its good overall but would have been improved with a lizard fig and better green goblin. The endgame battle looks great and i prefer that style to the endgame compounds that have come before. I like that it's one contained thing and not lots of scattered bits. It would have been better if okoye and shuri had been replaced with gamora and minifig wasp. That would have been a great way to round out the gotg3 and ant man sets. It would have shown some joined up thinking from Lego that does seem a bit lacking.
  14. These are the figures apparently: Captain Marvel Scarlet Witch Valkyrie (with Warsong the flying horse) Shuri Okoye Wasp (microfig) Thanos (bigfig)
  15. That would be great. Would definitely make the set more appealing in light of the repeated figures. Valkyrie and Wanda both fought leviathan in the film so it make sense. Is a decent leviathan possible with around 750 pieces? I can't quite work it out. Chances are it will be the compound and some rubble again
  16. And Valkyrie has Pegasus apparently
  17. Yeah thats the one. Like I said, we don't know if its reliable but @HarmfulEmpire was asking for anything . Gives us something to talk about when it's quiet!
  18. The account on instagram (that we don't know is reliable) who 'leaked' that 76266 is the female avengers team up set, has posted that more info on the NWH set is coming tomorrow.
  19. They are interesting! Bit of an eclectic mix.
  20. Sorry, my comment wasn't aimed at you, it was the "great film? no" statement that I thought came across as obnoxious. No engagement with the topic, or opinion as to why. Just a dismissive statement. You have engaged with it and shared your opinion of why you didn't like it which is great. I didn't interpret that scene in the way you did, but now I've thought about it I can see where you are coming from. I did see Peta approved of the film for its portrayal of animal experimentation https://www.peta.org/blog/guardians-of-the-galaxy-vol-3/ The character is called Lamb Shank and was voiced by James gunn. I don't think it will be appearing in a lego set!
  21. That's the thing. Plenty of people on here presenting their opinion as fact.
  22. Good points. Hadn't looked at it from the print point of view. As you say, hopefully they can put some civilians in using existing prints. Hopefully it will span multiple films and pack in the Easter eggs. Not according to this leak. this was the supposed lineup: Tony stark, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, Bruce Banner, Hawkeye, Vision, Wanda, Quicksilver, Ultron mk1, Pepper potts, Mk43 iron man, Mk45 iron man Though like i said, take it with a pinch of salt as its just a new account on instagram with no history of reliable info. Hopefully there will be more as 13 figures would seem a bit sparse I think.
  23. yeah it wouldn't surprise me unfortunately. There was a rumour (from an unknown/unreliable leaker) that it had 12 minifigures. Were we just really spoiled with the Bugle? The D2C's released since haven't been as good. It's interesting reading about the designers thoughts from the time. Hopefully he is doing the tower as it has lots of potential to be a great set. https://jaysbrickblog.com/news/lego-daily-bugle-2021-interview-with-mark-stafford-senior-lego-designer/ https://brickset.com/sets/designer-Mark-Stafford
  24. Yup I'd go with that. Would happily pay $20 more across the 3 sets for that too.
  25. That leaker has said the tower will have dual branding like the sanctum did. Apparently it will be avengers assemble/age of ultron
