  1. wow, this is just getting better and better! Love the new island :) what's your plan for this set? will it be just full of islands? any buildings?
  2. This is so funny, I woke up this morning and on my way to work was thinking about it and the same idea came to my mind lol. I think this will be the winner :)
  3. I love those two designs and how rich the colours make them look. Not 100% sold on the rounded edges for the towers, but both large and smaller set are fantastic. Supported on the Ideas page.
  4. This chain ladder is not a real thing right? I don't recognise those pieces...
  5. I'd like to build something like this: or One solution is this: but it looks quite bulky. Another solution I found is this: Any other ideas how this could be accomplished? I want the ladder to be flexible...
  6. When I got this set, I was genuinely surprised how small the box was, for some reason I was imagining something bigger with all the stickers, booklet and pieces. Instead it's a very nice and sleek packaging. I really dislike the face they used for this Pirate, looks too clean shaven, with this perfectly trimmed beard. Need to find a good, rougher face with beard.
  7. This was my first Pirates set (and second Lego set my parents bought me). Big nostalgia. As a 4 (or 5) year old, the functioning cannon was a blast, and only by reading the review above I learned that there were 3 versions of the cannon. I had the original one. I do agree with the original poster that the cannon looks silly on a small boat. Lego still stood by this idea in 2009 when a slightly updated version of this boat concept was released in the 6241 set Loot Island (https://brickset.com/sets/6241-1/Loot-Island). 2015 series had 70411 set Treasure Island (https://brickset.com/sets/70411-1/Treasure-Island) with a smaller cannon, but I still feel like it's a weak idea (not for kids I guess).
  8. Great little set, looks neat and busy at the same time, and so much fun. Question: how are those yellow tiles attached?
  9. yup same here, I only have a few sets and a box of loose pieces for MOCs - so now it's all in one place
  10. worth linking images here for others to see, also saves everyone time searching for those photos
  11. Incredible! The treehouse is fantastic, the bears climbing it is a great touch (so are the banana monkeys!). It definitely needs a lot of time to fully appreciate it.
  12. on a second thought, instead of modern looking toys, I'd use a banana piece or captain's wooden leg haha
  13. lol I love the bdsm room and the lil dildo in the other room
  14. To save everyone their time and Jimmy's cringe jokes, rewind to 5:50 for the Lego part
  15. The upcoming LEGO® Marvel Team Spidey at Green Goblin's Lighthouse (10790) set has some elements that may be useful for Pirates' MOCs https://www.lego.com/en-gb/product/team-spidey-at-green-goblin-s-lighthouse-10790
  16. You’re a month late, this thread was about a different font. The current one is great
  17. Working on a cave MOC and I want to be able to open the main entrance with a axle bar, this is what I have so far (with the elements of the mechanism listed below): At the moment I thought of using part Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 3L with 2 Pin Holes and a Technic, Pin with Friction Ridges and Tow Ball with Round Pin Hole - the tow ball is to make sure the 'wall' bit is not getting scratched too much during opening. Do you think this should work? I don't have the pieces for it yet, about to place a Bricklink order soon, but wanted to see if anyone has some experience here?
  18. Unfortunately I don't have this piece in my collection: Panel 1 x 2 x 1 with Rounded Corners and 2 Sides https://store.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=23969 So I cannot test it myself, and wanted to ask here if you can help me out? If you do have this panel + the headlight piece https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=4070 Can you put them together like this: And see if there's any friction / pressure there? Especially where the headlight front studs touch the bottom and sides of the panel piece? In Studio they seem fine, but I'd like to test it in real life before I order on Bricklink many thanks!
  19. Hey does anyone have this part: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=45590#T=S&O={"iconly":0} Could you tell me if this is indeed made of rubber, and if so, how soft it is?
  20. Love the homage to the classic themes, such a fun and goofy MOC :D
  21. true, but I don't mind to have it all in one place
  22. I think it's a new feature? I love it, it will take a while to catalogue all my parts, but it will be brilliant to keep track of my parts for MOCs https://www.bricklink.com/v3/myCollection/main.page
  23. Great build, I love your choice of colours for this one
  24. Can someone help me understand how is this wheelbarrow built? Also what are those pieces used for hay/sticks (in tan colour)?
