  1. Now that we have a better look at the Trash Compactor, I can safely say I still think it's meh. It looks way too small for the price, and while I appreciate the attempt at having a control room on the other side, that part is so tiny that it really doesn't change my opinion on the set one way or the other. As a concept I think the Quotes sets are pretty interesting, but I don't think I'll be picking up either of these two.
  2. From the one picture the Trash Compactor looks mediocre, at least too me. I'm willing to reserve judgment on the quality of the set itself, but I will say that I'm disappointed in the price if it really is $90, because it looks far too insubstantial for that number. The Trash Compactor was the one of these I was looking forward to the most, but as it stands I'm probably going to skip it.
  3. I won't be getting them since they just don't interest me all that much, but I do think they look pretty nice. I do agree that Dagobah looks a little too cramped though, even if it just had a little more empty space I think it'd work a bit better.
  4. I was just thinking about this the other day, specifically how we haven't gotten Count Dooku in a single set since 2013. I know the prequels aren't that popular, but it still seems crazy to me that one of the most recognizable characters from them hasn't been in any sets in nearly a decade. He and Anakin both seem like obvious inclusions assuming the AT-TE is based on AoTC, but I guess they might be spread out if we end up getting any other prequel sets this wave.
  5. Yeah, there are some decently iconic scenes there but it's pretty much the bottom of the barrel in terms of potential MBS options. It's not completely out of the question, but I would be very surprised if we didn't get more famous stuff like Endor and Jabba's Palace first (especially since Episode VI hasn't had any big location MBS-style sets in years).
  6. I was wondering about the three suits for each of the original ninjas too, since they've never done three fully original suits for all of them in one wave. Maybe it'll be something like SotFS where one of the variants will be the same as another but just with a different mask piece, or something like that.
  7. Somehow I just missed that one, thanks for the heads up. I find it weird how the ninjas have exclusive suits in that set, because that means there are going to be three different versions of Kai, Cole, Zane, and Jay just in this one wave. The build also sounds unique, hopefully it turns out good.
  8. Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this and I just missed it, but it looks like Promobricks also has some new descriptions out now that give us a better idea of what comes in each set. So far I'm definitely interested in the Crystal King just based on the image leak, it looks very impressive. The new description also has me interested in the Golden Dragon and the Samurai X Mech. Apparently the dragon is formed out of the four ninjas, which is certainly an interesting idea. And the Samurai X mech comes with six exclusive minifigures, those being Samurai X (Nya), Wu, Lord Garmadon, Nelson, Pythor, and a Vengestone General. I'll need to see some pictures of those two sets, but they both sound pretty neat. I might be forgetting another set, but I think the only one we don't have much information on now is the Crystal Temple. Hopefully we get to see that one soon, because I thought it sounded like a fairly unique concept for Ninjago.
  9. Personally I love it since I'm a big Gurren Lagann fan, but I also wouldn't mind some more variation in the mech designs. That said, I do find Ninjago's mechs to be way more interesting than other themes right now (aside from Monkie Kid), so maybe they should just keep doing what they've been doing.
  10. I feel like it's worth pointing out that thus far there has been absolutely zero indication that we will see anything based on X-Men '97, or X-Men in general. Obviously we'll see them once we get them in the MCU, but for the time being I don't think it's super likely. Lego isn't even making sets based on the Disney+ shows, and those feature characters who were already present in some of the highest grossing movies of all time. Lego does sometimes make weird decisions so it's not like an X-Men set beyond the Wolverine mech this year is impossible, but it seems far more likely to me that they would stick with what is already popular and will undoubtedly sell better, that being Spider-Man and Avengers sets.
  11. Is there a price and minifig count out yet, or do we just know that it's coming with the troopers and Mace? If not, my guess would be somewhere in the ballpark of $40, since that seems like an appropriate amount for the amount of minifigs we're getting.
  12. I also thought it was kind of strange how Lego seems to have already dropped the ball on the more affordable ships. Maybe there just weren't any ships that they wanted to make for this wave that would work as scaled down other than the N-1, but I just think it's a shame since they did some good work with the ones last year. It's probably too early to say if they're done with them altogether, but if there aren't any later this year them I doubt they're planning on returning to the idea for a while.
  13. The new leaked set looks good, not sure if I'll end up getting it though. One thing that is kind of interesting is that it looks like there are going to be two variants of each of the ninjas this wave, which isn't something they've done in a while. The minifigures are cool, but I don't really have much else to say on this one. Hopefully we get a good look at some of the other (probably more interesting) sets soon.
  14. Great idea, but it needs to come with Rebel Friend too.
  15. Agreed completely, I think the problem is that the tower is just a lot more iconic. There aren't a ton of big scenes at the compound, and by far the most famous one is the final battle of Endgame, where the whole thing is destroyed. Though now that I think of it, it would be pretty funny if we got a Endgame final battle diorama in the same vein as the Hoth UCS set that everyone hates.
  16. I kind of like the monster guy in the new set, but if I end up picking up either of these it'll be the Goat Boat. Very strange decision on Lego's part to do no exclusive minifigures, but I guess that just means it's cheaper for us.
  17. Maybe I'm misremembering, but I don't think Promobricks usually does stuff for the TV show, so I'd assume it'd have to be something to do with sets. More details also seem unlikely though, since there really isn't much else to say unless they just want to clarify a few of the things that were unclear in the initial leaks (like the identities of some of the minifigures). Assuming it is something substantial, my guess is that it would be details on a new set we haven't heard about yet. That said, I have to wonder why we wouldn't have already heard about if there really is another set. The first thing my mind goes to is a new D2C, but it seems extremely premature to be predicting that right now, so I'm just going to go into this reveal with no expectations.
  18. I can definitely see there being some new molds, but I still don't think they'd justify the price. 90 euros for 496 pieces makes it sound like it would include 2 bigfigs (since they tend to dramatically increase the price of a set), but that's obviously not the case based on the description of the set. I know price is ultimately a subjective thing, but I have a really hard time imagining how it will be worth that much unless it has some large new molds.
  19. Some cool things here for sure. The Sanctum sounds great, but I'm not sure if I'll end up getting it; I'll probably decide once we see pictures. I like the sounds of the new Hall of Armor addition, though the price makes no sense and seems like it'd have to be an error (not on Promobricks' behalf, but rather an error on the catalogue they are using).
  20. I knew it had been used again after Nexo Knights, but I didn't realize that it was still in production, so I suppose it is definitely on the table for future Ninjago characters. As for whether that piece would suit them well, I guess it's just a matter of opinion. I think it could work well since a minifig using the stone spiral part is still around the same size as one using the water tail piece, but that's just a preference thing, and I certainly would not mind a new piece in the same vein as the water tail (that allows for the legs to stay on) for any other new NRG forms we get in the future.
  21. They could always get around that by just including normal legs as well, like they did for the Overlord in Battle for Ninjago City (and I think some other characters that are escaping me at the moment). If anything, I think the main problem is that the mold for that stone energy piece is probably not being made anymore.
  22. I think it's worth noting that $530 was probably not a typo. It was probably written as $529.99 originally, and just shortened to $530 since that's how most people would write it.
  23. Completely agreed, I don't see why they couldn't have just kept the last Spider-Man mech in production for a bit longer.
  24. It's up on Lego's website now as well. Those certainly are mechs, but I don't really have strong feelings on them. It does seem like a missed opportunity to have not given Goblin's mech a bigger Goblin Glider (sort of like the one that came with Ultimate Green Goblin).
  25. I feel like you are pretty much spot on with this. A Geonosian Arena might happen somewhere down the line depending on how well the Gunship (and other potential prequel UCS sets) sell, but for now I have a very hard time imagining Lego would take such a big risk when something like Endor or a new Death Star is pretty much guaranteed to sell well.
