  1. Nothing we've heard about sounds super interesting to me aside from the Boba set, so hopefully that one turns out good. I think the Death Star battle might be cool but with just the name I don't really think I can make any real judgement about it. Also, how is Yoda's Hut going to be $80? Are we finally getting the tree or whatever it is where Luke fights the fake version of Vader?
  2. I wonder if these new EVO sets are going to be considered part of the Legacy subtheme. According to the descriptions, all of the EVO sets come with snakes, despite some (maybe all?) of the original versions being from seasons where they weren't fighting the snakes. If so, then maybe this means Legacy is over and these EVO sets are a replacement for them. I guess we should wait for more details but that's what it seems like to me.
  3. Oh, that makes sense. Hopefully the wave ends up being interesting.
  4. I thought I saw something about a leaked set list a while ago, but I didn't end up checking it out. Was that one fake?
  5. I don't think sets based on a game are 100% not happening, but we are in a very different place right now in terms of new media releases for Star Wars compared to when Force Unleashed released. Back then there wasn't a whole lot on the horizon, and the prequels had ended pretty recently. We have tons of shows coming out, and even a few movies in the next few years, so I'm guessing Lego will probably prioritize those over any games. With the amount of TV shows we're getting will be lucky to get one set from most of them. Speaking of which, I know it will never happen but I'd love to get a set based on Visions. It just looks very fun, so something representing it would have been nice.
  6. It's a great idea, but I don't think there's much incentive for Lego to do so. It makes more sense to just sell th individually, so people just buy all of them. I imagine it probably wouldn't make a huge difference sales-wise since the really dedicated fans will probably just buy one for each color regardless, but even if that is the case then there's not much of a reason for Lego to have the other colors in the first place. The only reason I think they'd do multiple colors in one set is just to please fans, which isn't impossible but isn't necessarily likely either. Luckily this is Lego we're talking about, so even if they just release one 501st helmet anyone that wants a different legion can just bricklink the parts and mod it. $60 seems awfully expensive, but if it's 18+ I guess it might be worth it.
  7. I think the main concern is that they might stop releasing outside of China, even If Lego did promise no more regional exclusive sets. That said I'm not sure there's a whole lot of evidence of that happening for now at least, and I expect the sets also being Amazon will increase sales a good bit since they'll be both more accessible and probably at least a bit discounted.
  8. He looks a bit weird but I really like Throg. Croki not having the crown is one of the biggest disappointments of the series for me, but since Sylvie already had a new hair piece I'm guessing it was either crownless-Croki (not sure if he's new but he can be used for plenty of other sets) or no Croki at all.
  9. I imagine I'm in the minority here but considering that I probably won't be getting either of the sets including the original version of the Mando I actually kind of hope it's that one. We already have two fairly cheap sets including the Beskar suit, so it might make sense for Lego to put the OG version in another set (unless they just don't feel like making that one anymore, which honestly is fair since it's only in like 2 episodes of the entire series).
  10. I like Monica too but I do understand why people aren't too hot on the figure. It's not really Lego's fault either, she's just a fairly plain character, so there isn't a ton they could do with her. I really like her hair though and I enjoyed her in Wandavision so I'll probably try to get her.
  11. I think two would make sense. Shang Chi got two despite being a relatively lower profile MCU film, but then again Eternals got three and Black Widow only got one, so I guess it's probably less about profile and moreso how many characters there and what potential sets Lego can do. I'd be shocked if there isn't at least one or more than three, but otherwise we don't really know.
  12. This is my concern with the game as well. I'm all for delays if it means a better game but with so many it starts to seem like there is some kind of bigger issue with the game's development. The new trailer does look pretty good which may be a good sign, but obviously they could just be hiding issues. I think the best case scenario is that they either announced the game way too early and/or just ended up making a much bigger game than they originally had intended to, with COVID also playing at least a minor role in the delays. On an unrelated note, I picked up the Duel on Mandalore set the other day. As expected, the figs are the main draw, and I think both are great. The actual build is more substantial than I expected but still doesn't feel quite worth the money, though the little vault is oddly entertaining.
  13. My guess based purely off of precedent is that we'll probably get one by 2023 at the latest. Obviously it does depend on if there's other things coming out that might fill a similar role (or if the Falcon will appear in any upcoming media extensively), but we got one in 2011, 2015, 2018 (the Solo version), and one in 2019. I think so too, it's honestly kind of shocking that it's been that long. The only way I don't see the next one being OT is if the Falcon is in an upcoming show or movie a lot (it could be, but I don't really follow Star Wars news too much so I have no idea).
  14. I don't know whether the FO BPs sold poorly or not, but if they did I imagine it was probably more the fault of a lack of overall interest in the sequels than anything else, though if I remember right the first one they ever did was pretty bad for army-building (it only had one regular Stormtrooper). I also rarely saw any of those BPs you mentioned, so I suppose Lego might just be taking a break to reassess the concept, and not necessarily because of poor sales (I can't imagine that's the case considering how the Mando BP was rather hard to get when it released).
  15. I like that idea, but I don't think it's too likely since Legacy already fits that role to an extent. I feel like the last few waves have been among the most unique in terms of themes thus far, and while this is just speculation, it would make sense that they're willing to try more unusual ideas since Legacy already covers the "normal" Ninjago quota. As for what we'll get next, I'm also at a bit of a loss. I know space has been suggested a lot, and while I do think it has a decent chance, the existence of Star Wars may be holding that back. Maybe they'll do something with time travel again and have the Ninjas fight dinosaurs or pirates (well, "real" pirates)?
  16. It varies by year but I think it's usually some time in September or October. I do wonder if that figure leaking so early is an indication we may get a set list sooner rather than later, but then again I don't think physical leaks tend to come from the same places as set lists and description.
  17. I really like this series on the whole, though I do have some nitpicks. I feel like Sylvie really doesn't look much like herself (really it's just the head that's bad), and as others have pointed out this variant of Spider-Man feels unnecessary. Also, while I think Monica is good (especially love her hair), she feels very plain compared to all the others. That being said I'd still like to get most or all of these figures, especially Sam and Loki. I don't care about the What If characters too much but I do like the designs of Zombie Cap T'Challa.
  18. My main issue with Sylvie is her face, so if she has a decent one as an alternative then I'll be happy. The plain legs are a little odd but not a huge deal for me. I can't say I care about Spider-Man much (just meh on the character on the whole) but the new minifig looks nice.
  19. I could be totally wrong, but I don't think GOTG game sets are super likely. The Avengers game sets were only loosely based on the game (at least from what I've heard, I haven't played it), and I think Lego would have probably done Avenger sets that year regardless of whether the game was coming out. They probably would have just leaned more in the comics-inspired direction had the game not been made. While GOTG sets are possible so far Lego hasn't done any that weren't for the MCU so I'm not sure that now is the time. That said I think it would be nice if they did at least one so people could get the Guardians they haven't recently released.
  20. I don't really have much to say about the sets, might get the Trexler, definitely not getting the Slave I (don't need it just for Boba since he'll be in more sets next year), and I'm leaning towards getting the Cruiser but I'm not totally sold yet. One thing I just feel like briefly venting about is the fairly poor minifig selections in some of these sets. I think the Trexler is fine, but the Slave I and the Cruiser both really should have each had at least one or two more figs, especially the Slave I. I'll never understand why Star Wars doesn't get minifig counts similar to that of Ninjago when they could just by throwing in a few more generic characters. I doubt it'd affect battlepack sales and I can't think of any other reason why they'd do it, so it just seems pointless to me.
  21. Yeah I find that really weird. I guess it doesn't matter since it's not like you can see them when it's closed but it just kind of feels wrong. I'm pretty much in the same boat as everyone else, I think it's alright but not especially great.
  22. I may be wrong as I am by no means an advertising expert, but I believe the reason why companies are typically willing to let fans announce news a lot of the time is because it's just cheaper. All Lego has to do is send out sets and the occasional promotional material, whereas there is much more of a burden internally when a lot of stuff is handled by Lego. On the topic of LegoCon, I was really expecting the Gunship until recently, but at this point I have no expectations. Admittedly I'm probably in the microscopic minority that would rather see the Mando sets in better quality since I'm not getting the Gunship, but regardless of what they end up showing I'm not expecting much.
  23. To be honest I have no expectations for it whatsoever, so maybe I'll end up pleasantly surprised. My money is on the UCS Gunship being announced there, though I'm not really interested in it so if that is the case then it'll end up being a meh from me. That said I've been pretty happy with Lego on the whole this year, mostly with the Marvel and Star Wars summer waves, so it's not like a lot is riding on LegoCon anyway. I have to say from what we've seen of the Light Cruiser I'm definitely liking it, but Gideon is rather disappointing.
  24. Man, seeing that really puts into perspective how much the quality has dropped over the years.
  25. Perhaps it's just the area where I live but I actually don't see much in the way of discounts in store. It's not really a huge deal since Amazon almost always does them, and there are some here and there at Target, but I tend to not see a lot in the way of sales. The US is a massive country though, so it might just be a regional thing.
