Hi i will try this one to avoid eBay fees. I have a MISB 10219 Maersk train and MISB 66493 City Train Value Pack for sale. http://brickset.com/sets/10219-1/Maersk-Train http://brickset.com/sets/66493-1/City-Train-Value-Pack The box of the Maersk has shelf wear but the seals are all intact. The huuuge train value pack is as new and untouch as possible. To keep it easy i would rather like to ship to Germany than to foreign countries. But within the EU banktransfer is easy too. In any case i will only ship via DHL and insured, 500€s or more. So make me please a reasonable offer, for one or both sets together. Dino

Noob question about unimog
Darth Dino replied to 9v system's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi hey hey, maybe its not only anout lazyness. I will answer. Unimog is a name of a vehicle class from Mercedes Benz. It is NOT manly used for military, its very very very versatily platform for any kind of driving/street/working/machines/vehicles. The vehicle has its origin as tractor, ranch supporting vehicle. The name stands for german "Universal Motor Gerät", universal motor device. Most Unimogs are as the Lego set orange, because thats the german volor for building site, street works vehicles. Beside this, street cleaning and maintaining vehicles are in Germany orange too, many or them are Unimogs. Dino -
Hi great, really! I would love to see this frontpaged! Dino

Hi well most people might be impressed by the LOT of chrome hold - which is mostly rather a wuestion of money. But this MOC is still amazing if you would have choosen just yellow bricks. Very very nice curves with just so few space, If Anthony wouldnt have been so tall and thin but a normal size and weight man, C3PO would look like this. Do sou know if all these slopes are available in yellow? Im a purist, sorry :) Dino

Hi you can resell the bricks, the complete model and the instructions as you like, because you purchased them in the first. What you cannot do is to claim it was your design or copy the instructions and resell them. But keep in mind most moccers that sell instructions like to be cited in dome way. So its good to sell the complete model as "XYZs modular house". Dino

Hi i am into Mopars, so i like it a lot! I like the ralley hood with the hold-down-pins, great detail! The front grillie marks this as '70! I would change the rims. Those cars did not had visible spokes in the rims. The other side looks much more like steelies with the famous dogdish hubcaps. Dino

Hi for anybody calling Lego ever blocky - post this ship! Man, that is a beauty - the curves, woman-like! :) I have never thought that Lego could look so organic. Dino

Hi for me these are one sets of plates instead of wings. So "ouch" here as well. I have the strong feeling that a Tie is not worth being an UCS. Yes, ist bigger than the playset but more detail??? No! At least, all UCS, wannabe UCS and 10000' sets are more detailed than their playset counterparts (if there is any). I see this thing on 50% discount in a year and still having dust on the boxes... Dino

Hi yes, Technic is a very very good recommendation. It looks nice (not perfect" is highly functional and sturdy. For normal City sets, try this one: Explain there are sets and things that are sturdy and show/build some examples (multi layer plate beam for instance). Make clear other things do look like much more better/realistic a fire ladder for instance but that are fragil. Its up to him what to choose. My son started building on his own then, grotesque cubes and chunks of Lego :) But he did it, had fun AND they have been sturdy :) You can make a challange of it, who of you is able to build the longer and so sturdier beam of plates for instance. Sets often do LOOK nice, but they are not very sturdy. Let him choosewhat to build and play with. Dino

Hi your AT-AT is lifting an eyebrow ;) Dino

Hi what are your thoughts on the new Stormtrooper battlepack minifigures? Are they movie correct, some series correct? Is their mold (mostly the headpiece) movie correct or some series correct? I am just a collector of movie correct sets and minifigures, not TCW for instance. I dont know Yoda Cronicles at all and dont want to ;) The headprint seems is different from the older ones, with blue stripes and more black detail on the helmet stripe. Any source of that? Dino

Hi big thanks! Dino

Hi i have bought a new and sealed Simpsons Minifigures box. I am wondering if those seals are original. There are two seals (non printed transparent tape stickers in almost circular shape) on the boxes flap. Pne sticker per side. I know Lego seals that are printed, but these are not. Are they original? The flap looks pretty new and untouched, so there are no marks of a peeled original seal. Dino

survey Picture versus Video Reviews
Darth Dino replied to Bonaparte's topic in Forum Information and Help
Hi simple question, simple answer: Picture reviews. You have to put a LOT effort and work into a good picture review - to get the same quality in a video review it takes a lot more! I dont like video reviews from people who hardly know to make a good picture. If they dont know anything about lightning, picture editing, who can they think they could make a good video review? It even harder to mKe a video review and archieve the same quality as in an picture review. Second, some (pic) reviewer spend a lot of time in what they write and how the write it. On the other hand there are many video reviewers that hardly can speak fluent for a minute without repetition or "ums" and "eeeeeeh" ... Dino -
Hi it looks like a Apache AH64 attack helicopter without rotor blades. Nothing special, nothing SW-ish. Like the grashopper - i dont like it :( Dino

Wha's a good and cheap camera to use?
Darth Dino replied to Yzalirk's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hi dont worry much with your budget. But spent a part of it for lighting - thats making the picture! Choose a cam where you can manually perform whitebalancing and setup all important values: ISO, AF, aperture and exposure time. For the lighting: Every hardware store has ~300W halogene spotlights. You will need TWO to avoid shadowa in the image. You need some white, grey or black cardbord for the background. Dino -
Hi you did not know too that in the US the month is named before the day ;) Its 18th december. Dino

Hi i want to sell 8909 UK Olympic Team Minifigures and Simpsons minifigures. I have from both a full box but want to sell complete sets. That means 9 UK Olympics and 16 Simpsons. I am bad in feeling the packets - unfortunately. How would you sell them? Open the bag to be sure to sell a 100% complete set? Or keep it MISB? I personal,y would rather like to have the RIGHT figures but MIDB and possibly doubbles and incomplete sets. Dino

...and why is this still not on the frontpage? ;) Dino

Hi well, thats a pleasure to look at! Beside this MOC is nice, BIG and detailed its completely different from other ISD MOCs i know. Where others use studs as details you have to use headlight bricks and then a tile. Very very nice! Dino

Oooor, you and me have just the same great taste regarding how this scene should look like ;) Looking forward to see the final build. Dino

Hi cool and most icon scene (maybe because of the music) for me (of the PT of cause). To make Maul more dynamic and less static, try to put one end of his lightsaber into one jumper hole and let him do a cartwheel (upside down, feet into the air). Dino

Hi Thanks Dave. And thanks Robin. Of cause i found your topic. Dtill, 600£ are a lot, but about a trippel of the price for a 100% original version or used set. Not talking about MISB versions of that MF... I think its not lesser impressive with some color changes. Especially if you want that worn and used look, old lg and dg looks nice between lbg and dbg.
