  1. I agree, the 10th on the balcony is likely Ginny. And while everything is possible, I wouldn't understand a D2C Burrow with some member of the Weasley family missing, so I'm expeting both Bill and Charlie being in the set.
  2. It was in a $200-325 price range. This is taken from the original message of @JeanGreyForever on 29th of January 2023 about the survey with Burrow. "The Burrow set is 2388 pieces and will be released in a price range of $200-325, probably $250. It measures 20 inches/50 cm high. It looks a lot more detailed and better than the previous two Burrow sets imo although the design still seems preliminary. There are 9 minifigures depicted but they all have generic white bodies and faceless heads and there's no description as to which minifigures they are. The only thing that distinguishes the figures is that they have specific hairpieces. I don't see a Harry but there is a Hermione because she's got her trademark brown hairpiece. Every other minifigure has red hair so I'm guessing Hermione is the only non-Weasley included. I can tell that one of them is definitely Molly, one is Ron, and two are Fred and George. That leaves four other red-headed characters who I can't tell but I'm guessing they would probably include Arthur, Ginny, and Percy. There's nothing about the set that seems themed to Half-Blood Prince so I'm assuming it's based more on the Chamber of Secrets. The image I saw was only of the exterior so I have no idea what the interior looks like except that the description of the set mentions dishes that wash themselves".
  3. While the image is appealing, I wouldn't read in it to much in term of what LEGO will produce, mostly about dimensions. Just as a comparison... the 75969_Astronomy Tower instruction booklet had on the cover the set and two other existing set in the background (Great Hall and Clock Tower). 74948_Clock Tower one, instead, had a general Hogwarts castle background, in a Lego resembling style, but with no recognisable other sets. The 75954_Great Hall had a different general Hogwarts background, in the same Lego style, and while on the right appeared the AstronomyTower, this is as similar to the real set as every image of the real Astronomy Tower is. Of course, this could be the LEGO generic plan on what to do and, by the way, what do you see? Great Hall, Grand Staircase Tower, the front courtyard, the passage to the main courtyard, the viaducte entrance...
  4. Maybe they used more big pieces? I will keep my expectation lower. Is it true that the new Great Hall cost more than double of the 2018 Great Hall, but Diagon Alley was four time the cost, but had only 14 minifigures and Gringotts, costing even more, only 13 minifigures. Of course, it will depends on a lot of variables but I will expect from 12 to 14 minifigures.
  5. I don't remember any allusion... but I think the 1st of september would be a likely day.
  6. I imagine a lot of people assume the second being Bill Weasley, supposing he will appear in the survey-leak-Burrow set.
  7. Really interested in what LEGO has done with the Great Hall. Being a long time collector I will not buy anything less than amazing. In the end, Durmstrang ship... I have waited it since, well, ever, considering I haven't the 2005 ship. Of course, LEGO feel the intimate and generous need of squeezing old collector so they pair the ship with the Beauxbatons carriage. Ollivanders is not so appealing, but is it what is it. Buckbeak, Mandrake and Aragog are easy pass. It will be interesting to see how the potion classroom will be in the castle scheme. The only person I remember is McGonagall from a OotP deleted scene.
  8. Yes, but I needed to copy down the entire list, at least now I know where to find it
  9. @Seaber has a list. I copy it from a him previous message from 2023, adding minor changes (recasting of Tom, Charlie photograph both in PoA). And also @Yope has a list: I add further names from this second list in bold (only movie) and in italics (only book) from this second list. Film (No. Character + Creatures/Beings) PS (9+4): Alicia Spinnet, Tom, Dedalus Diggle, Doris Crockford, King's Cross Guard, Prof Vector, Bloody Baron, Fat Friar, Augusta Longbottom (Firenze, Troll, Unicorn, Peeves) CoS (8+1): Millicent Bulstrode, Mr Mason, Mrs Mason, Ernie Macmillan, Penelope Clearwater, Mr Granger, Mrs Granger, Knockturn Alley Witch (Errol) PoA (4): Aunt Marge, Housekeeping Witch, Tom (what the hell happened to him ) and Charlie Weasley (he appeares in PoA movie in Weasley's trip to Egypt photograph) GoF (8+1): Roger Davies, Barty Crouch sr, Prof Karkaroff, Amos Diggory, Frank Bryce, Eloise Midgen, Nigel, Ludo Bagman (Winky) OotP(6): Mrs Figg, Zacharias Smith, Madam Bones, John Dawlish, Antonin Dolohov, Prof Grubbly-Plank HBP (8+1): Narcissa Malfoy, Amycus Carrow, Alecto Carrow, Thorfinn Rowle, Leanne, Katie Bell, Cormac McLaggen, Marcus Belby (Inferi) DH (9+1): Charity Burbage, Bill Weasley, Mundungus Fletcher, Elphias Doge, Rufus Scrimgeour, Xenophilius Lovegood, Aunt Muriel, Bathilda Bagshot, Dirk Cresswell (Giants)
  10. I have not an encyclopedic knowledge of LEGO, but thinking at my collection I say the french football player Zinedine Zidane (soc044 from 3401-2 Shoot 'n' Score - with ZIDANE set).
  11. Considering we already have two of four Hogwarts Houses ghosts, maybe one between Fat Friar and Bloody Baron.
  12. Surely the "most detailed Hogwarts Castle" statement sets very high expectation for this castle.
  13. Totally agree. While it's true there are movies characters missing yet, I wouldn't be disappointed with book references sneaking here and there. Would mannequins count as minifigures? Diagon Alley was described by LEGO as a set with 14 minifigures and there were 14 minifigures plus 2 Quidditch mannequins.
  14. Your point is interesting. In this case, however, Ollivanders shop should be empty and destroyed. Of course your character roster would be no doubt interesting even if a bit out of focus I believe: it would be more logic to see Narcissa, Draco and Fenrir and HPB Harry, Hermione and Ron in a Knockturn Alley based set. In Half-Blood Prince Draco and Narcissa just appear for a second near Ollivanders. Basically Ollivanders would have nearly no play utility in the set. And I don't see LEGO creating an intact & damaged Ollivander with the scene of the Death Eaters attack. I'm more inclined to believe that it will be based on Philosopher Stone scene, with Ollivander, Harry and Hagrid. Madam Malkin's could have the shop owner (has she ever appeared in some form?) and Draco. Then you can add two further minifigures like random students, random wizard and witches to reach the WWW same number of minifigures. I suggested it in a past comment, but I would be really surprised seeing Narcissa in this set.
  15. Not impossible I think. It would be similar to last year Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes having the same price, but less pieces (834 versus 744, but it's true that WWW has a lot of small pieces for the interior objects). And probably two better sized shops, considering Ollivanders isn't as big as WWW (the Owl Post in WWW set was, in my opinion, nearly ridicolous). Assuming this is the set, what the characters should be? Ollivander, of course, and probably Harry and Hagrid considering this is the only scene within the wand shop. And Madam Malkin likely. But these are only 4 minifigures, while WWW had 7 minifigures... ok, Madam Malkins could have mannequins, but I think Draco could also appear as a reference to the book... even if the giant surprise would be seeing Narcissa with him. Well, I imagine that we have to wait a little more to know something more about summer sets.
  16. I think that maybe in the new Hogwarts there will be a proper Grand Staircase Tower with enough space to hang on portraits you'll find in the set with the Grand Staircase section and all the other portraits.
  17. Yes, I've tried to put down a complete list of missing scenes/locations from movie, but I know much of them probably won't be produced Both (CoS and HPB) Hagrid's Hut have Fang and the secondo one has Aragog, but dead .
  18. Talking about following sets, how many scenes/location do we miss? Trying to put down a list, there's enough to fill more than 3 years of sets (of course, without remakes and I know it's not realistic). Feel free to correct this missing scenes list, cause probably I miss something too Privet Drive: Dumbledore bringing baby Harry (PS), good for a polybag ; inflating Marge (PA); Dementor's Attack (OotP) London: Boa escaping from Zoo (PS), even if not a major scene ; Christmas at Grimmauld Place (OotP); Ministry Battle (OotP); Seven Potter Battle (DH); Diagon Alley and Knockturn Alley: Leaky Cauldron (PS and PoA); Borgin and Burkes (CoS and HPB); Hogwarts Castle: Troll on the Loose and part of Philosopher Stone challenges (PS); Freeing Dobby (CoS); Lupin classroom (PoA); Umbridge's Office (OotP); Fred & George escaping from Hogwarts (OotP); Battle of Hogwarts, wooden bridge (DH) Hogwarts Grounds: Hagrid's Hut with Fudge (CoS) or Slughorn (HBP); Durmstrang Ship (GoF); Third Challenge (GoF); Forbidden Forest: Detention (PS); Harry vs Voldemort (DH); Hogmeade: Hog's Head (OotP and DH) Others: Death Eaters attack at Quidditch World Cup camp (GoF); Cave with Inferi (HPB); Bill & Fleur Wedding (DH); Godric's Hollow cemetery and battle with Nagini (DH); Tent and doe patronus (DH); Lovegood House (DH);
  19. 2018-2024... this is the 7th year from the relaunch of the theme in Harry Potter... ... being a long time fan of both, LEGO and Harry Potter, I'm really satisfied and can't wait to see what LEGO prepared for these years: I'm very curious to see it For two times, LEGO followed a 3 years planning, will it be the same again? In three years from now there could be also the HP TV series... and LEGO could begin producing sets taken from the series and not from the movie. Will this one be one of the last occasion to see LEGO sets based on movies? Untill now LEGO covered a lot of Harry Potter locations, characters and scenes, but there something missing yet... but mainly from outside the castle, I think. As for the "most detailed LEGO brick-built Hogwarts Castle scene ever" promised by LEGO, well it push expectations high By the way @Accio Lego Lego suggestion of a Halloween Great Hall with Philosopher Stone challenges in the underground section wouldn't be bad. And I think that we will see some classroom (Lupin's) with some remakes (Snape's?). And for the collectables portraits, I'm tempted by the thought that we could have a Grand Staircase Tower section with enough space to put every portraits. Well, we'll see.
  20. Yeah, I didn't remember it... At that time I lurked the forum but was not an active user.
  21. Until now, LEGO tried to please both, and I think they will continue. In what scenario LEGO would produce a new Hogwarts modular castle, with high threshold Great Hall, just to appeal old collectors? And risking to discourage new collectors? They can simply make a new castle with the same skyline (obviously) and the same, but different, iconic Great Hall (like they did with the 2018 and 2021 Great Hall). Of course, maybe some buyers that have every sets since 2018 won't buy it, but new collectors will and probably even 2021 collectors that want a castle scene better depicted (if LEGO is true when promising that for the future, but we'll see ). Anyway, LEGO can seduce old collectors with well done remakes (as Accio Lego suggested, Halloween feast Great Hall, with Winged Keys, Chess and Final Challenge with Quirrell underground), never seen location or scenes (Owlery and Boathouse, maybe Troll on the Loose, Bell Towers, a proper Grand Staircase Tower), new characters (and Seaber has a list of them), new moulds, new variants (100th Dumbledore outfit )... and so on. Of course, some of the old collector would not buy a less than 200$ Great Hall and would leave on shelf the 3rd Great Hall in 7 years, but some would buy it... on the contrary, in my opinion, producing a high cost Great Hall could discourage new collectors to even start their Hogwarts modular castle and so maybe even make them buying less sets.
  22. Just out of curiosity, I've searched for every Wizarding World - Rumors and Discussions threads since 2018 to see how many replies and views there were: - 2018 8377 replies and 1154751 views - 2019 6171 replies and 812533 views - 2020 18542 replies and 1993818 views - 2021 11343 replies and 1304625 views - 2022 4166 replies and 560481 views - 2023 3123 replies and 375691 views There are, I imagine, a lot of variables influencing the number of replies and views and I think that COVID is a very important reason behind the 2020 numbers, but it's interesting to see that 2023 was less appealing, at least for people on Eurobricks, than any other year. From your noob statistician it's all
  23. Well, a $200 dollar playset Great Hall, not as a stand-alone set, but as part of a bigger scenery would be, imho, a very strange decision (and a very greedy one )... risking to decrease not only the Great Hall sets bought, but probably also of a lot of other sets part of the Hogwarts Castle scene; in my opinion, completism push would be lesser for a persone if he already knows that he won't buy probably the biggest location of the scene. And it would been a decision I wouldn't like from LEGO.
  24. I don't see LEGO making a new Chamber of Secrets... if, as it appears likely, the new Hogwarts model will have an underground section, I think it will be something different from Chambers of Secrets. Speculations on Great Hall, I think, are based on LEGO reclaming of "an upcoming series of modular sets that connect to create the most detailed LEGO® brick-built Hogwarts™ Castle scene ever". A Hogwarts Castle scene will have, of course, the Great Hall, so it would be logical to have a new Great Hall to start with. In 2018 we had a Great Hall and in 2021 the new 3-year wave had a new Great Hall (with Chamber of Secrets). Halloween theme would be a very good idea. And I agree with the underground section dedicated to Philosopher Stone challenges (winged keys, chess, final challenge with Quirrell); I would also consider a new Snape class for the undeground section.
