Such a great movie, and this creation reflects the scene perfectly. I absolutely love that stair technique you used, too, along with the SNOT area and the tiling on the floor.

I'm sure you can. The character is your own creation, after all. Just it's set in this world Sandy created.

That headgear does also come in gold as well. I'm not sure how easily the printing is to get off around the eyes, however. Hope this helps.

That's a really cool creation! Looks like you got just about the right amount of every color, and the design is nice too.

I think they look fine one Supes, but I'm not a huge fan of the boots on Flash. It's the only option for boots, but I think they're too high up to suit him, IMO. I do think they look great on Supes, though. The red doesn't bother me too much because of the cape.

It's surprising how easily these characters can fit in with those in the Avengers movie. I love Hamato Fury. Great combo.

Really nice work! I love the hut, especially the shaping of the entrance.

Looking good! I agree with making it gold as opposed to white. That Nova head works surprising well too with the gold outlines on the glasses.

It all depends on the quest. It'll say in the rewards section. They've definitely become more frequently found than a while back.

Now that is a cool modular. All of the details are great, and I love how it is basically an enlarged version of the mini set (which is also awesome, by the way. I was fortunate enough to get one). Keep up the nice work.

This such a difficult shaping of a building to get done, and you did it fantastically. I've been to Chicago many times and I know this building so well, it's instantly recognizable. Good work!

Heroica RPG - Quest#100: To The Tower of Babel
K-Nut replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Althior follows Sarge's example, and attempts to find another street performer to watch inconspicuously. In case I can't post tomorrow, I'm leaving on vacation Monday and won't return until the following Monday. I assume I'll probably have internet access, but in case I do not, Khorne can control Althior until I return. -
Oh, of course. How could I forget? It seems like a cool concept, but I'd do it in a way more like the environment affecting spells in Quest #100. For example, in your examples, I'd personally do something like greatswords are twice as effective and arrows are half as effective.

Heroica RPG - Quest#100: To The Tower of Babel

"We all stand alone, but always have an eye on another one of us. If they catch one of us, we should probably have each others backs. No one should be left alone with the dwarf," He chuckled. "Unless anyone has a problem with that method?" -
I'm the same way. I try to incorporate the elements of lots of my favorite characters into this game, too. I absolutely adore Angel and Spike from Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Both of them have done some very terrible things in their lives, and try to manage it all in very different ways whilst being good people, leading to so many amazing stories. I also love Ray (Colin Farrell) from the film In Bruges and Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) from Casablanca.

I say a reunion quest may be in order. I feel like Boomingham could challenge you on that.

And why did we not do that exactly? I feel like that would've been the perfect party for being bouncers too.

I love short quests, and I've been around since day one. I like to at least attempt to alternate between a longer quest and a shorter quest for both player preferences and character preferences. Shorter quests allow for me to unwind as a player after a huge fiasco like Quest #79 and even my current quest, and it seems like my character would like to take a break from large earth shattering quests. And I completely agree with you, Zeph. Something huge like that could shake up the status quo a ton. Like I said, I love long quests and short quests, and both have their advantages. Long quests can definitely progress the main story along with allowing the heroes to be able to have better interactions with each other, whereas shorter quests can allow heroes to just have a good time questing and not worrying about how their actions could affect the entirety of the story.

I think Sandy said that badges would become more widely available, seeing as now it would be a requirement to advance to those classes. Even if it wasn't said, I'm sure there will be more opportunities. I also agree that it should be completed quest opposed to successful ones. If a second character is to benefit the player opposed to their original character, then I feel that having taken part actively in ten quests shows enough dedication to the game.

MOC: CMF Display Stand (Collectable Minifigures)
K-Nut replied to Lucifer Adams's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Nice looking display there! I like the methods you used to display some figures. The Skydiver does look great in free fall. It's cool how you designed it for easy transport too. I personally uses these. I put six up top on stands taped to the floor, five below it, and five below that. I haven't boxed up Series 10 or 11 yet, so I may have some issues with the Medusa tail. Nice work on this! I look forward to seeing more of your work.- 15 replies

This is one of my favorite episodes from the new Doctor Who series, and you captured it perfectly. The Weeping Angel design is great, and the Tardis looks really cool. Nice work.- 8 replies

Heroica RPG - Quest#100: To The Tower of Babel
K-Nut replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Althior unbuttons his vest, stuff his weapon and cloak into his pack, and attempt to ruffle up his hair, looking a bit like a drunken bum. Obviously, those did exist in this town. "I agree. Don't do anything too conspicuous." He turned to Eric, "Which means no escorts for you," He turns back to the rest of the party, "We meet back behind Unikitty's shop before dawn, then get out of the city as fast as we can," He looks to Nur. "Mind passing me your cobra hat for the time being? Might as well try to look as different as possible for the time being," Those face changing masks would be perfect now... Crap. -
Well, with them being introduced at Level 50 would be a clutter too, it just matters if you want it sooner or later. I personally don't have a preference right now, seeing as I'm already at level forty and I'd be able to have a new character already, but I could put it on the back burner for a little while. I feel that once players get to level fifty that they'll be able to hand another character a bit better with some more XP, but, like CMP said, it could take people too long to get their and make their characters not really matter to the major climax of the story. Plus, even with more XP offered in quests, it still takes forty battles or so to get from level thirty to forty, and fifty or so to get from level forty to fifty (assuming that you don't have a medal of glory) which seems a bit too long for me. However, without a medal of glory, it takes around 99 battles (hopefully I'm doing my math right ) to get to Level forty, whereas (I believe) it takes another fifty battles, making it 149ish battles in total, which could end up being around thirty quests. It would also, IMO, unnecessarily result in increasing the players current XP by 50%. That would mean that, say, it takes four years to get to level forty without a medal, it would probably end up taking another two years to get to level fifty. Most of us who have played the game from the start and don't have a medal of glory still have a little ways to go before getting their new character if it were placed at level forty. Also, once players get to level fifty, they may end up doing a quest or two with their original character's to experience the new classes then give up and focus solely on their new character's, seeing as their original character's have nothing more to strive for and it's taken so long to get there, making the original characters "boring". But if it were at level forty, it would still give people motivation to keep on playing. Also, second characters can also make the original character better and more interesting. With the one I have planned, lots of Althior's mysterious past I haven't gone into could be exposed, and making using of the character and exposing Althior to new experiences can become more interesting, along with being able to do the same again with a brand new character. So, basically at level fifty, the new character's (for some people) could end up being a replacement for their old character, which would help with the crowding situation, but seems kind of wrong in the whole spirit of the game. Just my two cents, though. Also, this seems to be all on not keeping characters on the back burner. I'll let someone else handle the whole logistics part of this argument.

Heroica RPG - Quest#100: To The Tower of Babel
K-Nut replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Althior glared towards the dwarf as he walked out. He'd known that he'd been a pain in the past, but to go around and stab the rest of the party in the back? Whatever, he'd made his choice, and it wasn't like this was the first time Althior had to run from authorities.,"Let's get the hell out of here already and get to the tower. No more further delay's,"
