Heroica RPG - Quest#100: To The Tower of Babel
K-Nut replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Althior looks to Eric. The Nord had been a strong sword, but completely cocky and greedy. He had seen some of himself in him, but he was apparently mistaken. "You're in the wrong business then," Althior begins to pace back and forth, pondering his options. Perhaps this was the right thing to do. The Ziegfrieds were the only likable house, in his eyes, and they would benefit from this, right? And it was only the witch Baba who had wanted this task fulfilled. Perhaps he had misjudged the Wolfgang. No, he hadn't. But he wouldn't be left behind like the dwarf. He had a job to fulfill, and he'd see it to the end. But what job was it then? Was it his duty to the veterans, his duty to eubric, or his duty to himself? "Althior, you're not actually considering this-" "Quiet!" He barked out at Finnegan. The decision was hard enough as is, and his morals couldn't distract him from the decision. He couldn't be enveloped in what if's. What it was was what it was. He had to deal with what was in front of him. He raises his gloved hands to his face, wiping the sweat that was collecting on it. He then subtly nods to what was seemingly Bluto Ziegfried before glancing up to Mr Gaunt. "What the hell, I'm in," He looks away, ashamed, as Finnegan glares at him. This had better be worth it. -
I'm guessing the cape could be seen as the closed wings.
-
I believe it's the launcher that launches Batman (supposedly) at the big Sinestro Corps symbol.
-
The top is definitely cut off, and the conveyor belt just goes into nowhere at this point, so I would be surprised if there weren't another sizable bit on the left.
-
I know for a while he's been rumored to be the big bad, but nothing is solid yet. I feel a Brainiac fig would be much more likely for this wave if it's based on LB3
-
Looks like the wings are wedged between two plates on his back, so the cape fits in where the wings are.
-
The pics of the set make it look like the yellowish green. It adds another color to the jet that makes it look better, but I'm guessing it's not the trans yellow.
-
I can get that. The Prophet is really Mage/Cleric centered, whereas the Paragon is really focused around all three classes that are eligible for it. Ranger seems to be the odd man out, so to speak.
-
I never really imagined Althior to be super tall, but I was taken aback when Khorne posted it. Althior's tall, but I've always imagined Eric as a full on brute.
-
Doesn't look like it. just2good's video makes it look like Kili, unfortunately.
-
It's around here somewhere. Cornelius made it two separate threads this year, and there's not much Marvel news yet so it's pretty dormant.
-
No, none of us have reached Level 50 yet. I think Alexis is the highest leveled player at around Level 45. I also think Nur was selling his Medal of Glory, but it'd be a ton of gold.
-
I think it's supposed to be the Lantern that charges up the ring, probably implying that both characters are wearing their power rings even though they're not physically there.
-
I've seen both of those pieces referred to as widow's peak hair. It can get confusing. I don't really think that this current hair is really a problem on Sinestro, but I can get why people think that it usually doesn't work too well on the figs it's on.
-
I can get that. The hair isn't that great, but I still find it acceptable. There's probably some better hair choices (like the elf hair) but I think that the Zod hair could be fine too.
-
The wing piece, though, looks like just one mold like we've had in a few sets already, so I don't think the handles can be clipped somewhere.
-
Looks like it! It's very nice to have those on ships now. Definitely looks better than the handheld versions.
-
No, but at least they all look like they're variants opposed to the same prints from before. I'm very excited to get the blue coat Bilbo, though.
-
$20 set with GL and Sinestro? Can't wait!
-
Smaug looks amazing (), but $130 for 800 pieces? And I wish it were actual Ererbor, or at least a facade. Eh, I'll still get it.
-
I think that looks good! Much more of a nice comic version that the Nolan suit. Doesn't have a yellow belt, though, but that's probably to try and tone down the suit so it can fit with the darker MoS suit.

Heroica RPG - Quest#100: To The Tower of Babel

"How do you think he'll rise to power, hm? A petition? No, Ulric will cause violent outburst; riots on the streets to take down all six houses. Husbands, Women, Children; He won't care if they're in the way of his diseased cause. And you think this Babaricca will honestly stand by his side? She's been living in a swamp for the last who knows how many years. Then she has one encounter with Heroica and is ready to side with the Wolfgang?" "Now, I don't like the houses any more than you do, but this power shift would be disastrous for the city. The Hinckwells and Shadeaux are both misers and snobs, and don't get me started on the Bonapartes. But we can't just give up on our mission, our duty to help the city, for a sum of gold," His eyes widen for a moment as he reads the letter, "A very large sum of gold," He shakes out of his trance "We may have been tasked on this job by the veterans, but this is still about helping the other people. There are plenty of people in Eubric who may want the Wolfgang in power, and there are many more that won't. Perhaps the Wolfgang is what the city needs, but us four cannot be allowed to decide the fate of the entire city, no matter how tempting it may be. The Tower is a universal source of knowledge, and murdering the keeper and destroying the tower is not going to pass. It cannot pass, no matter how noble the Wolfgang’s plans are. If they destroy this source for their own gain, how are they better than the taxing Bonapartes or the stuck up Hinckwells?" -
Sometime in October I think.

I find it weird that they're pushing Spidey 3 back two full years. Gives them time to do it right, but I'd prefer that over the Sinister 6 film. I don't know if it's ever been confirmed, but seeing as they've announced a big actor as him for a small role in GotG, I'm guessing he'll be in GotG 2 and/or Avengers 3.
