  3. Yeah, they said that they had a guy in motion capture for a few shots as Thanos for GotG. I'm guessing Brolin will just do a line or two probably and then have bigger roles in Guardians 2 and/or Avengers 3.
  4. Josh Brolin to Play Thanos! Seems like a pretty good choice to me. Haven't seen him in too much, so I'm not sure. Can't be worse than Jonah Hex though, right?
  5. Althior uses Lightning on Sir Tinkerman from the back row. The undead both attack him as well. Same Battle Order.
  6. Althior now drinks a remedy as the undead both attack Loewe. Walbartan heals Sarge. Battle Order Eric Althior Undead Walbartan Sarge Nur Avalanche
  7. Althior sips a remedy as Dorothea and Skinny Joe attacks Loewe. (Assuming she can this round) Walbartan heals Sarge. "Same Battle Order. Everyone, attack Tinkerman this round!"
  8. Battle order: Eric Althior Walbartan Nur Sarge Sarge Avalanche Althior sends a spell of Lightning at Sir Tinkerman from the back row. Walbartan attacks Loewe from the front row.
  9. I was honestly gonna stay out of it, but I couldn't turn down a chance at triple XP. Plus they attacked us them.
  10. "Why of course! The more the merrier," Althior is somewhat surprised by the offer. Not often did a stranger ever show kindness to him. Finnegan stands alone on the other side of the pier. He ponders whether or not to attempt to converse with the children, but decides against it. "Nah, I don't wanna be that guy..."
  11. He laughs. "It's amazing how much people can act like children these days. Althior, by the way. My companions and I have some business to conduct in Vega," He glances over across the dock to his companions, who have started themselves in a brawl with another group. "You have got to be kidding me," He mutters to himself. He turns back to Walbartan. "My apologies, Walbartan, but this conversation may have to be cut short. Unfortunately, I need my brawling companions over there alive. If for some reason I don't come back to finish our conversation, which the chances of us getting thrown out being very likely at this point, then I wish you the best of luck in collecting those herbs. Perhaps our paths shall cross again," Without hesitating, a furious Althior leaps over to the rest of his party. "What part of keep it on the down low did you not understand?" He couldn't tell who were more of children anymore. Those who were playing this game or the members of his party. OOC: I assume I have to wait until the next round to do anything, right? Finnegan floats over next to Walbartan, "Howdy there. Sorry about Althior over there cutting your conversation short. He thinks he has some dumb sense of duty to his companions. Humans right? Ha!"
  12. Althior sighs. He had this nice speech all prepared. He shrugged it off, and began to apply both of his grating stones to his scepter while he waited. He turned to the pongcanis. "So, what brings you to these parts, ma'am?" He glances up to the Dockmaster, "And what type of business could he be conducting with those cards? I certainly hope it's not this Decamon game I've been hearing about ever since I made it in,"
  13. Althior was making his way up to the dock master when he heard Sarge's bickering from across the water. What part of keep it on the down low did he not understand? He rolled his eyes before seeing Avalanche make his way towards the group. He turns back on his current path as he makes his way up to the Dockmaster. "Good day, sir!" He says as he climbs his way up, "Apologies for inconveniencing you, but this is my first time this far east. I now see why this place is called Dim Haven." Althior realizes he was turning into a wordy tourist, and quickly gets himself back on subject, "Now, you wouldn't happen to know a quick way to Vega from here, would you? My associates and I have some business to conduct," He waited for the Dockmaster's reply, trying to get as much information out of him as possible.
  14. Althior stood at the front of the ship, the smell of the sea filling his nostrils. He had grown used to the smell in his years abroad, and yet still he grew no more fond of it. He hadn't left the island since his voyage from Mermont three years prior, and he had not missed it. Of all the places he'd been, Babeleth had not been a part of his history. That was not necessarily a bad thing, but he was never found to be needed there. He leaned against the railing, moved his hands across the railing back and forth, and stared straight down at the water. He still did not recognize the man who stared back at him. He probably never would.
  15. Althior stumbles back, attempting to avoid getting soaked by the squid. However, he finds himself wiping saliva from his face before he speaks, "Ah, Master Squidraken. It is a pleasure to finally meet you. How are things at Ziegfried manor? I haven't spoken to the family in a while. It's been almost a year, I believe. Our destination, you ask? Dim Haven in Babeleth. I'm sure you know your way, but I do have a map just in case." Althior had heard the tales of the last time Heroica had boarded this ship. It was indeed the same witch they were attempting to stop that had taken the child away. The Ziegfrieds had a history, and a rather horrible one at that, but nothing to deserve that type of tragedy. He straightens up, quickly, and turns towards the ship. "Let's get a move on, then. I don't wish to keep you from your other duties, sir."
  16. "As long as you shut up about it, we should be good," Finnegan ruffles Throlar's hair as if he were a small child as he floats past. "Now, shall we?"
  17. You guys make decision making so hard.
  18. "I concur. Let us take the Flouncy Phoenix to Dim haven." "Empty threats are going to get us nowhere, Dwarf. We're all on the same side here. So perhaps you should start acting like it." "Aaaand you." Althior turns. "You're not experienced and you're not in charge so please stop being a complete jackass. I'm not going to have anyone jeopardize this mission with their loudmouthed insults, and I doubt even you can take out an entire ship of smugglers when I leave you behind," He rolled his eyes, knowing this was to be a long journey being stuck with these imbeciles on his team. Even Finnegan made those two look like geniuses.
  19. "Indeed. However, no matter what we do it will be an equally long journey. This way, we get there the quickest and without too many people noticing us, and we can get out easier. But, again, it is just a suggestion. Do you have a better idea, master dwarf?"
  20. Althior listens carefully to the veteran's speech. As the company debates on their voyage, he ponders over his options before speaking. "We need as few people to know we're there as possible." He turns, "Byblos, what is the terrain like from the Wailing Warf to the tower?" "No, it isn't. But the veterans didn't leave you with the final say, did they?" He glares, "And besides, the Ziegfrieds are indeed quite fond of me, so I think they can cut you some slack need be." "Indeed. I'm not sure what kind of voyage we can get back from there. It seems that the Bonaparte ship is our best bet. I don't trust them any more than you, Eric, but they seem to be our best option at the moment." He ponders over the options before suggesting another plan. "However, if you know a quick way back with more trustworthy people, then perhaps we can take the Ziegfried's boat to the Warf, make our way along the blood brick road, and come back to Port Taboo to find a way back home,"
  21. Althior wanders into the marketplace in preparation for his next quest. He first sells his deadly venom and Dragoro for a total of 65 gold (450+25+40=515). He then un-imbues the skull shield (415-50=465) then sells the Skull shield, Makepeace, and the Black Knight's armor (465+30+30+100=625). He then upgrades his scepter to WP: 16 (625-130-140-150-160=45 Gold). With a much lighter pocket, he leaves the marketplace with a total of 45 gold.
  22. Althior wanders back into the hall. It was nice to see the living again, even if he didn't belong with them. He found himself having a new appreciation for life, strangely. He began to make his way up to the bar, but not before first signing his name under Quest #100. He stood at the bar and turned to Scheherazade. "The usual, please," He caught the drink as it slid across the bar. He sipped it, then made his way towards his usual table in the corner.
  23. "Can't believe I'm saying this, but I'd listen to the blonde this time," "I-" Althior paused "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. But you need to remember, if you find her, she's not the same Amber you once knew. Be careful, Mr McCreary. She's manipulative and cunning now. Don't let her fool you," After a moment of silence, Althior speaks up again, "Not to soil anything, but we should probably get out of here before the watch shows up. I don't feel like they'll enjoy seeing me. Patricia and I aren't exactly on the best terms," He chuckled.
  24. "Yes, I do apologize for that," He chuckled, "What we had down there was a necromancer, a powerful one at that. Ms Amber Makepeace wished to turn Eubric into a Necropolis. She believed that if she did so, that she would be able to eliminate all differences within the city and make everything perfect, for inequalities are obviously the worst possible thing for a society. After our Yeti friend here helped solidify her point, she used our undead friend Violet's heart to resurrect some odd form of undead dragon. We easily subdued them both and destroyed their plot. However, we came across a Vampire, who was said to be in league with Makepeace, and we let him live. His whereabouts are still unknown to us, so I would keep an eye out for him if I were you." Althior takes a breath after rambling through the story. "Now, any questions?"
  25. Althior nodded his head to Violet "Until next time," He turned and began his journey to the church. Althior continued to keep his pace, without looking at the Yeti. "Next time, don't think in black and white. Nothing is as it first seems," He continued to walk, still pondering over the Yeti's words. Would the world see him as an abomination once they knew the truth? Would he be cast out, friendless, unable to do what he was required of himself to do? He shook off these doubts. He couldn't let idiots such as this Yeti shake him off of his quest. He continued his steady pace through the graves, the whispers of their souls reaching out to him, before he eventually returned to the church.
