The LEGO Grodd seems like it would be more akin to some of Grodd's classic appearances, much like Captain Cold apparently is. In the old continuity he was an ape enhanced by cybernetics; an origin which, AFAIK, may not have been adapted to the New 52 comics.

Looks pretty nice! Probably the first UCS set of recent years to really catch my eye. Picking up the Boba fig is a must even if I don't get the set, which I'm seriously considering.

Heroica RPG - Quest#100: To The Tower of Babel
K-Nut replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Everyone, take on the Seneschal! My new undead will take care of our other friend here." Althior grins. Finally, he felt good. He swings his staff at the Seneschal from the back row. Walbartan, Hodurr, and Dain do nothing in the back row. Battle Order Undead Eric Althior Sarge Nur Periwinkle Hodurr Walbartan -
Well, with voice actors I think it depends. For example, I count Chris Pratt for Emmett, but I don't count Nolan North for anything besides Kraang. It all depends if it's explicitly based on the work they did. Thus Ian McKellen doesn't have one for Gandalf and one for Magneto. With Star War, the whole thing is that it's based on the film design and the actors work. Like I said, that Magneto is based off of the comics, not Ian McKellen. That's why (IMO) the X-Jet doesn't count as a DoFP set. No, that particular tank didn't show up in Captain America, but neither did that exact look of the X-Jet (though it's hard to see in that crappy Future lighting.)

Althior, Walbartan, and Hodurr all repeat. Dain does nothing. Same Battle Order -
True, but I doubt they'd go with a completely different design of the character. A different hood/hair is one thing, but there's a large difference between Classic and New 52 Captain Cold.

Well, technically it was Dollmaker who cut off his face (and I personally found that really disturbing ) More back on topic, I'm wondering about how this Brainiac set will look. With four figs, it has to be more than just his ship that's included in all the promos. Maybe some interior backdrop akin to the Hulk Lab Smash and/or the Helicarrier.

New Theme Being Announced at New York Comic Con 2014
K-Nut replied to Pheonix1604's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm guessing that it will be a Jurassic Park set or something to do with Jurassic World. As much as I'd want it to be Doctor Who, I doubt it will be, sadly (though that doesn't mean it won't be a new ideas set, hopefully). -
I think it's due to the fact that it's all comic based as opposed to movie based. The figures, Sentinel, and jet are all based on the comics as opposed to the movie designs, plus it's something that doesn't happen in the movie (though by that logic the Mandarin buggy isn't an Iron Man 3 set). By that logic the Captain America AA set could technically be labelled as a CA:TFA set because of Cap, Red Skull, the Goon, and the tank.

No, but neither were Star Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, or Groot. Captain America isn't a founding member of the Avengers (in the comics at least) either. I know lots of people (myself included) use founding member to talk about the prominent members. Banner was such a success for the first Avengers film and he hasn't had much exposure since then. I doubt he would be the one to bite it (even if there is one who dies).

Heroica RPG - Quest#100: To The Tower of Babel
K-Nut replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Althior lets out a quick laugh before realizing this may not be the best time. "That may work if we stay away from Mr Quicksand and The Robed Wonder. But you seem to be forgetting that we're kind of sinking at the moment. Or perhaps we aren't, maybe. This tower seems to be messing with my mind quite a bit," Thank god he left Finnegan outside. The jokes he'd be making now would be unbearable. -
Yup that's what it was. Just a typo. I also believe (in 616) that Adam Warlock has the Soul Gem on his forehead, so if they somehow went that route with the MCU, that could make GotG 2 very interesting.

Heroica RPG - Quest#100: To The Tower of Babel
K-Nut replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Alright, are we doomed now? It doesn't say so next to our stats, so I'm not sure. It doesn't say you can remedy it in the rules, but would The Seneschal's special get rid of it? Otherwise, fleeing seems to be our only option, which would only make getting back in here even harder if even possible. Unless, of course, we're not even doomed in the first place. Althior stumbles back, holding his hands firmly to a gash in his side. This Tower Keeper was going to get many complaints once they were done here. He turns to Sarge. "Come on old man, we're not done yet!" -
REVIEW: 71007 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12
K-Nut replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Absolutely Fantastic Review! When I first saw the pics of this series, I thought it was pretty good, but now it looks very promising with all the new molds and coloring's that made the CMF series appeal to me in the first place.- 156 replies

That is the correct list for the 616 universe I believe. However, these don't correspond with the MCU gems I think. James Gunn has stated that the Purple Gem featured in GotG is the Power Gem and that the Tesseract is the Space Gem, whereas I don't believe it is technically an infinity stone in the comics. I believe they also stated that the Aether featured in Thor TDW was the Reality Gem as well. I don't know why they're changing up all the colors, but it seems they may be.

What's Your Favourite and Least Favourite Star Wars Movie?
K-Nut replied to Sir Brickalot's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Up until a few days ago, I'd have said ROTJ, but now it's probably tied with ESB. Least favorite is definitely AOTC. Hayden Christensen's attacking makes it unbearable. -
If it's been approved, I think it would be fine to post it. If not, I'd wait until Sandy gets back.

Sounds nice! I haven't picked up much of the first wave, but I'll definitely have to get some of these if it's crossing over with the old Agents line. This AntiMatter sounds cool, and it's nice to get a purple hood finally. The set he comes in also sounds pretty similar to the old Aerial Defense Unit.

I think some people were just wishing (myself included) that she could come in this unconfirmed Brainiac set.

[FIG-BARF] Justice League and other DC Superheroes

How dare you try and give him a face! Question looks great with the purple, and I really like Green Arrow. I do love that face on him for the more classic version. -

I was thinking that too. He got some decent exposure in Young Justice and was one of the first characters they revealed.

I'm guessing there's no info seeing as it's a 2016 film and the sets are probably in the early design stages if they're even being designed yet.
