These all look really good! The javelin looks much better in final pics, as do both the Grodd set and the Manta set. It's also nice (personally) to see that GL has another face besides the grin. Hawkman and GA look good, though I'm saddened that Supes looks like the same one from 2012. I would have definitely preferred the fig featured in the game. Also, it's weird that they just gave Cyborg a gun opposed to the gun arm that some CMFs have had in the past. Grodd and Darkseid look fine to me, since I don't hate the hunched-over look.

Althior had been sitting quietly in his spot in the corner as Sarge had entered. He sat calmly, staring at the drink in front of him. It was a well deserved drink, wasn't it? He'd helped return a child to his family and had put a miserable being out of her misery. But what about this witch? Or the fate of the city? He hadn't seen Finnegan since leaving the sewers. If the aura had left the city, well, he couldn't be blamed. Hell was coming to Eubric, and soon. And he was responsible. He heard voices from below, shouting at each other. Probably the veterans arguing of whether or not to throw him out of the hall. Combined with the shouts his former party members had been exchanging, the Necromancer had had enough. He dropped his fist on the table loudly and looked to the floor. A moment later, he looked up to the old man. "Shouldn't you be on a ship to Salmanda about now, old-timer? I'm guessing you haven't got yourself much time left. It's a pretty long trip, and you don't even have a fancy boat to get you there this time,"

Quest #100 had its ups and its downs for me. Overall, I enjoyed the quest, but there were some parts (mainly the fault of the party leader and the party's bickering) that suffered a bit. I thought it was very, very well done. First off, when the quest started, I knew that the party was going to be one of the coolest that any quest has had. I'll get to the party on its own later, but I think that had to be one of the highlights for me. Paired with the story, this is one of the coolest quests anyone has hosted. I absolutely loved the story, and it kept me interested at every turn. Seeing Roland Emeraldo come back was really cool, though Althior has no idea who he is. It's really nice to see this huge, overlaying continuity going on. I suspected that Orokai was Wolfgang from the start, and the thought of Walbartan being Wolfgang crossed my mind, but it still kind of surprised me once we got to the Wyrd Tree. My favorite part of the quest was definitely inside the tower. Over the long time the quest took, I had many suspicions of what to expect from the keeper. At one point I even thought it was Baba herself for some reason. Maybe it was because I typed Babeleth once as Babaleth. Getting in there and seeing how decrepit of life and joy it was was really cool, and the Keeper of Memories was awesome too. I really wish to have gotten some more time with her before Walbartan came rushing in. The NPCs in this quest were great too. From Peri to Walbartan to even The Seneschal and Glimda, it was really cool to see how flawed all of these characters were. I loved the idea of a Pongcanis being thrust from her tribe because she was simply too kind. The rest of the NPCs besides the Fearsome Four were all great, simply because of what Babeleth had turned them into. Any city under the rule of the exiled Dastanese Emperor has to be corrupt, and seeing all of the characters on this quest have ulterior motives that stemmed from a bit of corruption and strayed from the original mission was great. Even Althior, who I try to play as a moral hardass these days, really had other motives than getting the info on Babariccia (though I was really tempted to get rid of those, seeing as the suspense of not knowing who she is is killing me). There were two major parts of the quest that bothered me, however. One was that in the middle, the quest seemed very, very slow paced (at least to me). We were in Vega for a long time and really didn't do all that much. Half the time was bickering over how to get out of the city, which, as PL, I think I really should have done a much better job handling that. Really wish we could have just spent our reward at Vega, though, but the choices we made really prevented that. Another issue I had (which I really don't have that much of one now) was the Golem battle, mainly the Seneschal himself. Had I known that that would have been the final battle of the quest, I wouldn't have been so worked up about it at the time. Having him be immune to all effects and Ethereal was really a pain, especially (for me) the ether sapping. Without those Blinding Bombs we'd have been screwed, but somehow we managed to make it out. Again, now that I see that it was in fact the boss battle, we could have been much better prepared for it. Characters: Eric/Khorne: To be honest, Eric has to be my favorite Player Character in the game. The way you play him and his thoughts is perfect. Either Zeph or WBD said it perfectly in how Eric wants the world to bend to him. I didn't see much of that in Quest #94, but I definitely saw it here when we were at the Wyrd Tree and when we were in the tower. Althior would hate questing with Eric again, but I would love it. Maybe not now since I've had a bit of Nord overload from these last two quests, but still. Sarge/Pyro: I've never really seen Sarge in any other quest, and getting introduced to the character in here was a real delight. Sarge seems like a really cool character from what you posted as him and what you have about him on your profile. Definitely as immoral as the rest of us, but you played it off in a really unique way that I really enjoyed. It's also nice to get some older folks in this young mans game, so that's always an appeal. I'd like to quest with you again, too, some day. Nur/Jebediahs: I don't think Althior and Nur have ever really talked besides the casual aside in the hall. Nur seemed like a really cool, quiet character. He seems very comical, too. I laughed really hard when you had Alfred dress up as Nur and at this point. I think Nur is all about the ulterior motives and never the job at hand, as seen when he returned to the Mud Pit. That's another really cool, really different type of character to have. Throlar/Lord Duvors: I'll be honest here, Althior hates Throlar. He comes across as a totally stuck up character who doesn't take anyone's actions into account. There wasn't much of the on Quest #94, but there was a lot of it here. That's a neat type of character to have, but the way you played him didn't work with the party. I think Zeph told you this after Quest #77, but I'll say it again. The whole point of Heroica is that you go off in quests and work together to get the job done. It's a team effort, and I'm not entirely sure you've grasped that yet. Avalanche/Dragonfire: I don't have much to say here, seeing as you dropped out of the quest very early, but all I can say is that I really wish you hadn't. After what went down at the end of Quest #94 with Althior and Avalanche, I really would have loved to see them interact more. It would have been very cool to see how they clashed when the question of morals came into play. I really hope you come back some day so Althior and Avalanche can continue where they left off. I do have a few questions about some of the options, too: First off, what would have happened if we had been permanently effected by the Mutant God? Was there going to be a way to remedy that? Or were you subtly trying to get us to move along? What would have been in the Chateau Des Coeurs, had we chosen to enter? Something similar to the V-cards from Quest #12? Had we chosen to enter, would there have been anything of note in the Gingerbread House? Also (I'm kinda slow) what was the optional battle you mentioned that would have happened Finally, can we be expecting a bomb store anytime soon? Overall, I really enjoyed Quest #100. Definitely one of your best quests, Sandy, and it was an honor to be a part of it. Definitely looking forward to where the story goes from here.

Heroica RPG - Quest#100: To The Tower of Babel

Althior smiled a bit as Bluto rushed inside. After Goldraum had turned his back, Althior grabbed him by the shoulder. "Keep him safe," As the door shut in his face, he grazed swiftly past Nur and made his way to the hall. He glanced back at the manor. For once he had done a bit of good. True good. But at what cost? As the autumn breeze swept past his face, he turned away from the hall, and made his way out into the night. Great quest, Sandy! I'll post my thoughts soon. -
Oh definitely. I only got to Level 30 so fast because I spent a lot of time in there. Some of the drops are really special. Namyrra's Mace, for example, came from one of the Threshold Monsters which is a new equivalent to the Roaming Monsters. Also, I don't believe anyone has ever ventured into the super difficult areas, so who knows what the drops are out there.

When we went to the fields, getting through 20ish battles (I don't know if we even got there) took like 6 months. That was back when the fields were supposedly easier too.

That would be Bonaparte Rep that nullifies Ji Pei rep. If you have Ziegfried rep, that would be nullified..

Heroica RPG - Quest#100: To The Tower of Babel

"No, No!" Althior shouted as he grasped the man by the back of the shirt. For once in a while, he felt a bit of sympathy. He lifts the crying man off of the ground, holds him by the shoulders, and speaks, "Let's go home," He tries to dawn a comforting smile, though what he had done that day had truly prevented any sense of dignity. He began to lead the boy out of the sewer, then turned back to the aura. "Are you coming already, Finny boy?" The aura continued to look the other direction. "I-" he paused, "I think that it is not my place," Althior was shocked by Finnegan's sense of humility. "Very well then," He turned with the boy and exited the sewer, attempting to make his way to Ziegfried Manor. -

"Honestly? I think you have the right idea. I've sided with you before, but that was majorly to spite old Patricia over at the Town Watch. The houses have been in power for a long time, though I haven't seen how stuck up they all are," He looks towards Bluto, "But the Bonapartes and Hinckwells have had their hold on this city far too tight. The Hovels prove that. When your friends first told us about this job, I honestly did not feel like siding with you. Destroying the tower seemed like a very far fetched idea for a local revolt. But if it gets the power to the people, it can't be all bad." He shifts his glance to Babariccia. Her tone seemed genuine, but he knew better than to trust one right away, "Though I may support your cause, I'm not quite sure I support your partner here. Taking a child from his family and aging him does not seem like great publicity, if you know what I mean. Even if it is a child of the houses. Though if you have agreed to free him, perhaps you are not what I thought you were, Babariccia. And I certainly hope not." "You also seem to have the right idea of how to make your plan work, however. If you truly have a mole among the Veterans of Heroica, then it should not be a problem getting them on your side. Some will resist, though, but if your forces are truly as powerful as I believe, then you should have no problem. Especially with some of us 'heroes' on your side. Say what you will about Heroica. They are a very, very, integral part of what Eubric is these days." He looked back to Finnegan, who was turning a sickly green from all the residue in the waters, "All I can tell you is that a war is coming, my good sir. Heroica will fall upon itself in the days before your revolt. So I'd make sure you have enough muscle on your side. And some are not as easily swayed as my Nordic friend over there," He looked up to the so called "Wolf-Head Messiah" and spoke once more, after his companions had all had their say, "Now, don't feel obligated to answer this, but what is your vendetta against the houses? Not all of them are money-hoarders like the Hinckwells and Shadeaux, nor are they the iron fisted Bonapartes. Yet you go after all of them?" -
I watch too much TV, it's really unhealthy. I love How I Met Your Mother, Futurama, Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel, Scrubs, Arrow, and Doctor Who to name a few right off the bat. I've recently been getting into Arrested Development and Archer as well. Also, not sure if it's a favorite of mine, but I definitely recommend the new Netflix show, Bojack Horseman. Definitely give it a watch if you can.

Heroica RPG - Quest#100: To The Tower of Babel

Althior stared to the tower as it fell. It was truly a sight to behold. A disgusting site that is. He then turned and walked up to the approaching Wolfgang members slowly. He passed Finnegan as he walked by, and for the first time in a while, the Aura spoke with a look of disdain. "Why?" Althior did not dignify this with a response as he continued his way to the front of the group. He glanced to the boy. His torment would be up soon, hopefully. He then shifted his eyes to Mr Gaunt. "There is nothing left in this god-forsaken land to care about. Let's go now," -

"I'm guessing our Wolfgang friends can helps us out. They had to get here somehow. If not, we are owed a favor by the gentleman in Dim Haven," -
I don't get why everyone is making such a huge deal about the Joker tease. The creators have said that there's a character in each episode that could end up being the Joker, but they probably will never reveal it. I thought the Joker thing was interesting, but I can agree that other references were bad. Ivy added absolutely nothing to the story at all. You can make the same argument for Riddler, but I enjoyed that one. Also remember that there's only been one episode so far. The unnecessary references may have been just to hook people in. We've seen with Arrow, Smallville, and SHIELD along with just about every other show out there that the series rarely is exactly the same as the pilot. The pilot is just for them to test out the characters and get a network to pick up the show. Assuming it performs well (as Gotham evidently is), the showrunners can really do what they want.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 Rumours and Discussion
K-Nut replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I usually pay for unique and/or large parts. Space Miner I'd go for the armor. The Video Gamer is harder, though. His hair is very similar to the Lifeguard, and his accessory is the same mold as the Jester. I'd have to feel for both of those to be sure.- 1,109 replies

Heroica RPG - Quest#100: To The Tower of Babel
K-Nut replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Althior hears the voice in his head and looks to Walbartan. He smirked, then continued his way to the door. So she could communicate one on one, yet she didn't feel like actually telling him about Baba. What a way to go out. He returned to his cold, hardened expression as to not arouse suspicion. "What. The. Hell." Althior blankly stared at the golem. And he was the crazy one. "Just pull him out and let's get out of here," He continued to make his way out of the tower. Quick question. It doesn't look like these effects are going to be put to use in this quest. Do they carry over to my next quest? Or do they just go away? -
They did use the Ball & Chain when he attacked Talbott. I doubt it's an Infinity Stone, but it could end up being something to do with the Inhumans? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I think that's right, which was for the first anniversary celebration if I'm not mistaken. I don't think they need to be actual NPCs or PCs. It's nice having generic characters that capture the feel of the game.
-
I saw it recently too, and I thought it was very well done. Mark Ruffalo is definitely one of my favorite actors out there, and he does not disappoint. I recently saw The Three Amigos. Steve Martin is another one of my favorite actors, so I enjoyed this one. Definitely not the best movie I've seen nor is it his best work, but an enjoyable watch nonetheless with some very funny moments.

Heroica RPG - Quest#100: To The Tower of Babel

"Don't sound foolish. The nord is predictable, but it does not mean he is trustworthy. He is drawn by power, and Ambergaze's past would have given him much power over you and Ulric." Althior hears Sarge's call with a bit of dread. He glances once more to the statue as he stands up. "I am truly sorry, Mnemosyne. For everything that has happened here today and to you. Perhaps now you shall be able to be at peace," He begins to make his way down the stairs before getting in one last glance at the statue and the orb. He quickly turns his head back and makes his way to the entrance of the tower. "Alright then. Let's do this. Put two Agni bombs against each pillar and do the same with the Gaia ones. Put the Demeter Bomb against one, and then place Nur's bombs, Sarge's Military one, and Dain's Fire Bomb against the other. Then we blow it." He looks to Dain, "Be my guest, Master Dwarf." -
If the gold were in Babeleth, I honestly would have bought those grating stones. Maybe not 20 of them, but even just spending half the reward on them gets me to a good point with my weapon and some extra gold left for consumables and/or buffing up my defense.
-
Moon Knight had a sizable role in Original Sin which just ended. I'd check that out.
-
I expected the Grodd set to be kind of expensive, but I never thought it would be as expensive as the Bat Cave. I know I'll end up picking it up, but I may have to wait for a discount. $55 or $60 seems a lot more reasonable for that set.

Gotham has to have had the most entertaining Pilot of a show in recent years. I don't remember the last time a new show has hooked me this fast (I love Arrow, and even that first season was pretty iffy). Penguin seems great, and I love the relationship going on between Gordon and Bullock. The Ivy and Riddler references were kind of boring and unnecessary for me, but it's nice to see that they're open to other stories besides this Penguin/Fish Mooney thing that's going on now. It was also nice to see the obligatory mourning stage of Bruce and Alfred from a new side that wasn't all centered around them. For a show that I wasn't really excited for, I am very excited to see where it's going.
