  1. I've always wondered why we (The USA) didn't get the shooting cannons? Was Lego afraid we would shoot our eyes out while Europeans wouldn't?
  2. Loving all your stuff LT! I'm too lazy to go through all 14 pages, but I would love to see some interiors of the supermarket, it looks great from the outside I can imagine the inside looks just as great.
  3. Haha I had no idea of that, guy's an amazing resourse.
  4. Not sure if this is the right forum, but it seems a little vague for any specific theme and this forum does discuss building technique, so here I go. I'm building a fire station and need a brick facade, there's no masonry bricks on LDD yet so I tried to make my own. Looking for tips to make it better or just general comments. (good and bad) That's what I came up with alternating 2x2s with dark gray plates in between. I wanted to have masonry lines vertically between the bricks but the snot made my head hurt, so this is my final product for a brick wall. Let me know what you think.
  5. Hmmmm, interesting project. My guess would be brickset.com or bricklink.com and search sets by year. Between those two sites you should be able to get a pretty comprehensive list of all sets produced. Also check out Lego Historian on here he might be able to help too. May I ask what you're planning? Sounds like a cool project.
  6. Great idea F0NIX! Tried it and it worked great, will be posting more pictures as I'm working with that. Thanks "Wedge09" I would love to make it modular but I think it would be a little too big. Right now, I've added another lane and its 26 x 22 so I don't know how much more I can fit without making it gigantic, we'll see what happens when I'm "done" The technique is a good idea too, "Kristel" very simple which is what I like. I think I might use a combo of both. As for the balls, I think I'm going to stick with 1x1 round plates for the time being.
  7. Looks great you captured the color scheme perfectly
  8. Cute, the soda machine looks fantastic!
  9. Everything flows together so nicely. I love it. The face on the high diver is priceless!
  10. Having fun playing around with LDD!!!

  11. Yeah I'm pretty happy with the gutters, just some 1x1 cheese slopes, but it looks very authentic. About the snot stuff, If I use the brick above it creates an offset like this: and the "headlight" brick without the ridge is too high for any plates i try to put on to match up with bricks underneath. bowling3.bmp Sorry it's a little hard to see but the brick next to the plate won't line up correctly.
  12. I bought one payed way too much at the lego store. So it sucks....kidding. It's really good quality, the drawers slide very smoothly. I got mine a little prematurely because i'm sorting through my bricks, plates, and slopes right now and I have way too many to fit in the little compartments. It will come in real handy when I get to the minifig accessories and smaller stuff like that. It is pricey but the quality is good and its Lego branded, which I like. I recommend.
  13. Loving the GI Joe MOCS, but you couldn't make the General?! That thing was a beast!
  14. It's hard to see but I used a 1x1 round plate for the ball. I used to be a mechanic at a bowling alley so I want to continue with a ball return, ball racks and some seating. I'm pretty happy with the way it came out, I'm just racking my brain to figure out a way to transfer from the lane itself to the seating area and scoring. Who knows maybe I'll get really ambitious and make a whole bowling alley with a bar and restaurant.
  15. Hello all, Just wanted to share my latest (first) MOC....Bowling! I was playing around with LDD for the first time today and whipped this up real quick. Very simple and I plan to add to it. I used SNOT for the lane itself, but I want to add a seating area. I'm having a little trouble trying to figure out how to transfer from the SNOT lane to a regular studs on top seating area. Comments, criticism, questions are all welcome.
  16. Great work love the way the front bumper looks
  17. Yes that is what I mean the awnings they're spectacular
  18. My son is a big train fan, and just starting to get into Lego. I'm thinking I'd like to get back into Lego Trains myself so we can play together. My only experience is with the older 9V trains, how easy are the power function motors to operate and install. I'd like to get the Horizon Express to start and get some track and the motors separately, just based on how beautiful it is. Is this a good place to start? Or is there a better option? The complexity of the build is not an issue as i've been building for the better part of 20 years, I just want to be able to get him something that he"ll be able to play with on Christmas. Long story short, I know nothing about power functions and want more info. If this is the wrong place for this please let me know. Also, if too vague let me know.
  19. Love the layout, very busy...but in a good way. Great videos too.
  20. In my opinion they seem to fit fairly well together. The creator houses are very good for modding, and now that they come with minifigs, the scale is fairly easy to see. Also, I think they can fit well because in a decent sized layout the creator house wouldn't necessarily be right next to Grand Emporium or the like. Won't look so out of place if not right up against each other.
  21. Sorry to bump an old topic, but this is stunning! So much detail and inspiration. I'm planning out MOC now that will hopefully be a nice little American sports bar and I'm very inspired. Couple questions for you though. How tall are the walls? By my count of the seams it seems to be roughly 10 studs tall, am I right? Also, how did you make the arches? They're gorgeous! Also how high are the tables with the 4 chairs? Look about 1 stud with 1 tile high. Once again, fantastic buildings!
  22. Wow very nice. My bad on being late to the party on this one. Love all the colors and all the tiling. There doesn't seem to be nearly enough town/city boat MOCs on here...maybe I should build one
  23. Not to pry, but that sucks man, good luck with everything. I'm going though a divorce so I feel ya on losing stuff, luckily we didn't have a house together. Everything you post is amazing by the way. (history major in college). I'll definitely be buying your book once my funds are up. I have no idea what the information is to buy it could you please PM me with the details?
  24. Awwww, too cute!! If only they were around when my boys were in diapers. Where did you find them?
