    We have an embarrassment of riches here in Massachusetts with 4 Lego stores. I'd give up at least one of them so that some of you guys could have at least one close to you.

    I don't know if it's available for ios but I have a great app on my android phone called Lego scans. It have instructions for pretty much every set I can think of that was released before 2010

    Get grand emporium its going to be discontinued pretty soon so you don't have much time left to get it its a good build and you'll still have plenty of time to get the pet shop.

    Speaking of pleasantville, how about the new fire chiefs car box? Getting a cat out of a tree with a fish?! A classic. I also love the humor of coffee mugs in just about every city set. And the bananas...oh the random bananas make me smile.

    I build with my 4 year old all the time he has a little bit of motor skills issues and could barely get 3 bricks together 6 months ago but now he can build the great vehicles line pretty much all by himself! But yeah we love building together. As for my habits I need music and I have to sort everything before I start. Need to be at my desk with tons of light and a drink. I'm always hungry when I build but too afraid of getting bricks greasy

    What exactly are Lego's legal and illegal building techniques? I've heard the phrase thrown around here a lot but never knew some examples.

    I think that's part of my problem when my son and I want to build I'm so deep in sorting that we both get a little frustrated because our organization is grossly in organized

    Sometimes I get weird looks when I look through the Lego aisle but generally I have my boys with me so people assume they're looking. One time I helped a kid about ten years old decide between a couple city sets. He was very grateful but I don't think his mom liked a random guy by himself talking to her son. In terms of my collection I'm way too lax my 4 modular buildings are in various States of disarray due to my little 4fol (4 year old fan of Lego). But the way I see it is that that's the best part of Lego, you can always put it back together

    You are living my dream my friend. I've already told my fiance that we're having a Lego room in our house when we buy hopefully next year. She was my girlfriend last week now shes my fiance, and still after requesting a Lego room. I'm doing something right. Anyway... I love your ideas for the shelving to keep sets off counter space, more room for MOCing. I can't wait to do the same in my eventual studio.

    My buddy made pretty good money deicing planes for jet blue here in boston...then again we were 18 at the time so in retrospect it might have only been good money because there weren't any bills at all. Oh the joys of living with parents and having no kids.

    There's something fishy with that post... Anyway back on topic, I'd try a little alcohol to loosen up the glue then a super sharp razor blade should take it right up. Just be careful to get the right angle with the blade or you may end up removing a fine layer of plastic...or fingers.

    The grand emporium is a great build so far (I'm 2/3 of the way through it) so I'd get that. You'll stil have plenty of time to get the Pet Shop.

    I'm looking for a Decal for the Boston Bruins. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/51/ECN-Uniform-BOS.PNG I'd like the one on the right in particular, but all three would be awesome. If anyone could do that for me I would be hugely greatful...also instructions on how to print them(i.e what type of paper, ink, etc.) would be awesome. Please PM if anyone could do that. I'm looking for the whole uniform by the way.

    Saw this on bookshelf awhile back looks awesome. It's a great inspiration to the 2 bay station that I'm trying to build. Maybe I'll steal...I mean borrow some ideas from you

    Good luck with sales, I have never seen any of the modulators or any other exclusive on sale. Also the grand emporium is being discontinued soon so I'd pick that up sooner rather than later. Not to be a Debbie downer...

    You were right the first time, that car is rubbish. It looks so out of scale. But all and all the set as a whole is really nice, I wasn't planning on getting it, but when I went to buy the pet shop last week they didn't have it so i picked this up instead, I am very happy with it.
