  1. Oops spelled your username wrong Damn autocorrect...but I would vote on cuusoo
  2. Stunning moc "dansanto" looks very close to the real thing, the memorial looks fantastic and spot on.
  3. I'm a big fan of that flatbed too (and all your vehicles actually!)Too bad to hear about your money situation, I've been there myself, but it still looks great. Sucks that Lego can be such an expensive hobby. Sometimes I think we,AFOLS, collect classic cars or art based on the money I spend at least
  4. I love the mechanic, so simple and elegant. I gotta admit I'm having a really good time with this calendar, unfortunately (or fortunately depending on who you ask) my son got to it and opened all the doors yesterday so we just built it all at once. There's some pretty cool stuff in there bit I won't spoil it ;)
  5. Very interesting moc "Greg3". Never seen anything like it but it looks very functional and can definitely see it in a layout that includes a small airfield.
  6. Like others have said at least with bricklink you're dealing with people like us, its only Lego and people generally know fair market value and the value to a Lego fan. EBay on the other hand is people who looked up that set a is popular so sell it for a crazy price or not know the correct terminology, and shipping practices, and whatnot
  7. Essentially to stop kidnapping and pedophile type people. As a parent I think it's great because you don't have to worry about that creepy guy/girl with no kids who's just watching other kids play and whatnot. Another thing that we have to understand is that while Lego offers unlimited possibilities for people of all ages, it is still a children's toy
  8. I like the townhouse, that door is fantastic! Hope you do some interiors, would really tie everything together. Love it!! Would love to see the full layout.
  9. What a great design for the tree!
  10. These are great my layout needs much more green and much less concrete. It is based on Medford, MA after all tree city USA.
  11. My son is 4 and has no interest in anything but city sets...could be because that's my main interest, but I digress...he loves anything police and fire so death star wouldn't be good for him. Like others have said it really depends on the kid
  12. Just looked up mannum on Wikipedia, do you plan on adding a river with a steamboat?

Wow that last truck is great. the way the tools are hung on the clips is very unique. Only issue is the space between the cab and the cabinet doors, looks a little odd. Other than that great truck...By the way I like the white bucket truck better than the yellow one.
  14. I don't generally buy multiples but I will reuse instructions and bricklink to make multiple sets for my town layout, mainly vehicles. I'm terrible at making cars and trucks freestyle so I use official sets and change colors and mod them a little bit to make them different. The only sets that I think I would buy multiples of (although I haven't yet) would be the creator houses to make all 3 models at the same time.
  15. No problem I happen to be sorting and counting and storing right now so I have bricklink open constantly glad I could help
  16. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=4530&in=S&colorID=6&ov=Y Appeared in 2 sets in 2000
  17. ...but according to TLG girls only like pink things, and friends...
  18. This had a huge smile on my face the whole time I was looking at it. Great work, love the brick built R2D2 sign and the whole car dealership feel of the first floor.
  19. WOW anyone want to try to build it? They provided very simple easy to follow instructions
  20. like the tractor a lot the grill looks great! I really like the the inverted antenna for some reason.
  21. Wow, monsinjor, that is massive! You are amazing in LDD and a real inspiration to me having just starting in the program. You make fantastic stuff. Best I've done so far is bowling...
  22. But as we've discussed at length in this thread, do kids want to play with a school after they just spent 8 hours in one every day? It's all about what the kids want. On that note we had a farm and that was lovely and no conflict a zoo just seems logical.
  23. Me too, so many new animal molds they have including 2 different monkeys, bears, new horses, cows, pigs, sheep, can't be too long before we get lions and tigers (oh my!)
  24. Wow great Job! I agree with LT, I'd love to see a tractor trailer to bring that lovely dozer to the job site
  25. Good ideas guys thanks
