  1. Alright, I just noticed something. On my Batman torso from the Catwoman set, there is a line missing on one of the abs. My Batman from the Batcave has a perfect torso print though. I always thought that it was just a printing mistake, but then I saw this. As you can see, the Batman on the right has the torso problem I desribed while the other doesn't. From his reviews, I understand that AlexScammer (who took that photo) owns the Catwoman set and the funhouse. I can't help but wonder if this is intentional on LEGO's part. Anyone else notice this?
  2. I don't think it's the worst buisiness option. Really, I don't think a lot of people use pick-a-brick, and last year, they added a lot of Hero Factory parts, including exclusive ones.
  3. Me too. It's sticky at first, but I find that if you keep using it, it'll loosen up. You might have to push down ligtly on Bruce's head for a while, but it should loosen. What, you mean that Bruce Banner is the Hulk! Spoiler Alert! I thought Steve Rogers was going to be Hulk. Just kidding of course. I don't think Banner being Hulk would be a spoiler, especially since there was a whole movie dedicated to the Hulk a few years ago.
  4. I have my fingers crossed for the Batmonster! I want to make Man-Bat without having to use BrickLink
  5. I wonder if that was a hint to the "epic" dragon coming out in the Summer...
  6. With LOTR coming out, I don't think we will see any Castle sets, they would be too similar. I'd love an asian theme, ecpecially after the Fire Temple But I don't see that happening, at least not while Ninjago is around. I could see Black Falcons II and Forestmen II coming out after LOTR disappears in a couple years (I see it lasting about as long as Indiana Jones, or at least as long as the HP reboot). This would be great I think, a forest would be a nice setting. I'd like to see some new colors and building techniques go into that. But again, I don't see it happening with LOTR. A Western retern ( ) would be nice, but not my first choice. I'd prefer the above. I still wouldn't mind it though, bandits vs. vigilantes wouldn't be too bad. Again, with colors introduced in recent years, these sets could be beautiful (but not as nice as above I don't think). Even though we just had Prince of Persia, I'm open to a more historical middle east theme. I think that it could live alongside LOTR, as it would probably be a different style of architecture. Ancient Egypt wouldn't be bad either, but I can't see it being too different than Pharaoh's Quest, just without the adventurers. They could loosley base it on the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt and kind of depict it like Kingdoms. What I would really like to see and I think has a chance would be a Mythological/Ancient Greek theme. I don't know if it would qualifiy as a Historic theme though, might be an action one. I suppose that it could follow Hercules, Perseus, Theseus, and maybe others (I think they would be the best known) pitted against monsters. It would probably end up like vikings, but if we are lucky, we could see greek buildings and such (probably not temples to the gods though, don't want to offend anyone) as well as triemes and giant wooden horses .
  7. SONY owns the rights to make Spider-man movies. Marvel and Disney really have no control over who gets the license for that movie, as they don't own it. Same with the X-men and Fantastic Four movies, which are owned by FOX, I think.
  8. LEGO don't have the license to that movie. Mega Bloks does. Marvel/Disney aren't making that movie, SONY is.
  9. Because he was trying to point out how ridiculous it would be to make a Bruce Banner movie, let alone LEGO sets based on it. (Not exactly sure where he would get that idea though.)
  10. I'm pretty sure that he is talking about Banner as a person (or whatever) and not as a minifigure.
  11. He's talking about movies....
  12. I'd personally prefer that. An Ann Hathaway Catwoman could be useful, but I don't like Bane's costume too much. Plus, we could get more villains this way.
  13. That does make sense, I think I'm still not expecting Banner, but if he does appear
  14. Agreed, and that would of been my next point, if I didn't have other buisness to attend to. YES! One good guy and one bad guy is exactly why I have been saying that Bucky probably won't be included (even if he is in the movie for whatever reason). I forgot that we knew even that little about the Captain America set. I guess Marvel is paranoid that the piece count will give away spoilers! Well, there have been small sets with three figures I can think of which I'd call signifigant. Can't think of any two figure ones of off the top of my head though. We haven't seen pictures yet though, so I think it's just a little early to be drawing parallels. I still don't think it's Fury. I will probably be a villain as I have said many times before. But I guess we may find out in mid-February. I don't see how Fury fighting nothing alongside Captain America is really a spoiler. Now, if Captain America was fighting Nick Fury, that would be (but I don't see that happening, not that I would know).
  15. Still, there are several other films and franchises on that list. Plus, The LEGO Book does list that set as a The Dark Knight set. I don't know why, but it does, so in my eyes, it is. That book is pretty accurate, except for a couple typos (but this is definitly not one). Standing Small on the other hand...
  16. Nice job. I guess it's your perspective, but that sounds like a long time to me.
  17. I present to you, the Tumbler: Actually, according to The LEGO Book, this is a Dark Knight set, it just isn't based on a scene from the film. And if you haven't noticed, Brickipedia has a source. I don't think that there is a lot too question. And, even if you don't count this as something bleak, there are still all of those other items on that list (and I forgot a few, Price of Persia and The Avengers should be on there, I think). Oh, and I think that advertisement does create a link, whether WB comissioned it or not, it's there.
  18. I wish that there were more BIONICLE parts on LDD I find HF more limited (but it is newer). Not a bad idea, but I don't know if I like all of the line-up. It seems a little random. But hey, anything to (try and) have BIONICLE back.
  19. Wow, just wow You can buy two more with that money and sell two extra Supermen and Lex Luthors too.
  20. Um...I kind of only skimmed over this topic today, about three pages worth, but I don't recall seeing anyone besides you who wanted a Bucky Barnes minifigure. And I would very much like to remind you that these sets are based on The Avengers not The First Avenger. Though it is possible that he is in The Avengers, it would have to be as a villain to fit into the set, otherwise it wouldn't sell to kids so well. Good vs. Evil = great playabiliy = money. Thank you for saving me the breath sir. Too bleak for LEGO? I don't know exactly what that means, but I'm guessing that bleak means dark or violent or what not. But if so, then I guess that also means that Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and oh yeah, The Dark Knight are/were all too dark for LEGO too. Except of course, they weren't, as they've all had sets (TDK didn't have any sets based on the movie, but it was adveritesed on the 2008 packaging, I think that's the same thing).
  21. Now that I've seen FBTB's report, I'm considering the Helicarrier. I don't care too much about Hulk or Hawkeye (though I'm sure that they would be more useful than say Iron Man or Captain America), but Thor and Loki together will attract my attention. So we don't know who the second minifigure in the Captain America set is, or where Nick Fury fits in, do we? Well, here are my ideas: I don't think that Fury is in the Captain America set, for reasons mentioned before. Unless of course, he is being mind controlled by (a nonincluded) Loki, like Hawkeye in the Cosmic Cube Escape. I think that it was possible that in the press release (where Fury was wrongly put under X-men) Fury's name as a stand-in for another minifigure LEGO (or Marvel, rather) didn't want us to know about. I'm not going to guess who it is, as I have no idea (don't suggest anyone from The First Avenger, please). He could also be included in the Quinjet, but I doubt it. I'm not so certain FBTB would forget him when they (seemingly) remembered everyone else. It is also possible (and maybe more likely than above) that he is included in the Spider-man set. I doubt it though, now that I think about it, since it just seems like a run-in with Doc-Ock (as the name suggests an ambush). I think that my first idea is the most plausible, but I still don't believe it really. They might of been incorrect when they suggested he was included with the X-men, but I don't want to think that they'd give us false info. But I suppose that when the press release was released, the Marvel sets were months away from release, so I suppose that they may of still been working on figure concepts and Fury was dropped. That would explain his absence from the X-men set. Dropping Fury would of opened up a character spot (going by the DC/Marvel being fairly equal thing again) for a villain in the Captain America set, who could of previously been place-held by Loki or a generic minifigure. Alright, now I'm going with that last one. Sorry, I kind of typed everything that came to my mind. That is just Robin. First of all, that's what LEGO advertises him as. Second, Red Robin wears a cowl (like Batman's just without the bat ears). I wouldn't really care, which I guess is the same thing.
  22. I agree, but suggested doesn't mean the same thing as confirmed.
  23. Just pointing it out... But still, I've lost hope.
  24. I didn't hear anything in the reports I read. Doesn't mean it's retired though, just means that there wasn't anything at London Toy Fair. But honestly, since LOTR was announced, I've given up hope. Neither can live while the other survives (in LEGO).
  25. Looks like Super Heroes was overshadowed by Star Wars and Lord of the Rings in reports, sadly. But I guess that there really wasn't much to report on. I'd like to see the rest of the minifigures, just to know, and the Captain America set (because at this moment, that is probably the only thing I might consider getting, until we see Spider-man). But really, it would be what the set is like and the second minifigure included. I don't really care for Marvel, so I'm a little disappointed that there wasn't anything for DC summer. But I guess that it's just money I don't have to spend and gives me even more to be disappointed about look forward to while waiting for Nuremburg (did I spell that right?) and New York toy fairs.
