  1. Another article which confirms Killer Croc.
  2. ...or will they make her at all? LEGO never said they would. I don't see them doing a "Damsels in Distress" battlepack either, not very exciting at all. The closest we'd get to that is if they put Wonder Woman in a DC Battle Pack. I think that they only said comic, which is much broader than classic.
  3. I'm not sure how I feel about the voices. If Clancy Brown really is voicing Luthor, that is pretty cool. I haven't been very happy with some of the voices in some of LEGO's specials and television shows (especially Sensei Wu), so I hope that this game has decent voices, if any at all. The game looks pretty good, I just hope that it doesn't become like the hero levels in the last game, just with Superman added. It would be nicer, but it would still get boring. I hope that they mix it up some by adding Nightwing or Green Lantern or such to different hero levels, just for variety. On the bright side, we do only know about four villains, so I think that there is still a pretty good chance he appears. Edit: Shouldn't this be merged to this thread?
  4. Sadly, according to LEGO magazine, it is montly. Or Lloyd's unknown mother's mother.
  5. This is a tough one, this poll helped be realize how I'm not as thrilled with these minifigures as I was with DC. I'm not a Marvel fan, so I know next to nothing about the characters. I voted Thor for both. I don't know what Marvel has done with him as a character, but the norse didn't see a hero as a person who vanquished evil, just as somebody who stood up with it. I think it's pretty cool that Marvel used a norse hero. I was going to vote for Iron Man for best figure, but I couldn't decide between the two variants. Then I was going to vote for Deadpool, who looks like a good minifigure. But in the end, I voted for Thor again. Not sure exactly why, probably because I don't think he's over done or too plain.
  6. Iron Man looks pretty good. A little out of proportion at the side, but not too bad. I believe Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor, and Joker are all confirmed.
  7. Sometime soon I'd expect. They're released in April, right? If the rumors are true, I think it's a possibility. They probably couldn't do it perfectly, but I can envision some parts of it made with LEGO parts easily. Edit: I mean I can easily envision those parts, not necesarrily that it could be done too easily
  8. Well, as an answer to both of those, the Funhouse was only revealed when it went up for preorder at LEGO.com. If there are only one or two TDKR sets and they're retailer's exclusive, it's plausible. I think that explains the Spider-man set too. Yeah, me too.
  9. This The Dark Knight Rises set rumor comes from Variety.com. They mention them here and here. I don't know where they got that idea, but I don't think they'd just make it up. LEGO probably at least considered sets based on/coinciding with TDKR. Coinciding with a movie isn't the same thing as what Variety said. Variety says "around" which could mean based on, or coinciding with. I'm pretty sure both of those sets were in the same wave, seeing as POTC only got one (except for the Black Pearl, which was released stand alone). Agreed. I'd prefer a comic based or BTAS Scarecrow, but a Nolan one is better than none at all. True, but the Marvel sets had a spring release and the press release was back last Summer. They would pretty much be telling us what we're getting a year in the future. I don't think that happens too often. I can't say I'm even sure they'd know exactly who is in what set.
  10. Mime Joker maybe. TDK/TDKR Batman could just be used as a suit in a set that has little (if anything) to do with the Nolan movies, like the whole 2008 Batman wave. Penguin is a pretty iconic villain too, but I don't think just giving him a white tuxedo would be something we wouldn't get. Afterall, the old Penguin was pretty detailed and he probably wouldn't be changed much (like Catwoman), so they may give him a white tuxedo when he shows up in sets anyway to make him stand out from the old one. I don't think that Fury would be iconic enough. That might be a chance to get a black Spider-man or a printed head Iron man though. I don't know about that, but I think that one will come along eventually. Probably not for a year or two though.
  11. Joker might be an easier exclusive figure to include with the book, considering Batman's cape (which would get crumpled) and a Batman that would look exclusive (a rainbow one ). I remembered a "tropical" Joker from the LEGO video game, and I wonder if it's something like that. (According to Brickipedia, it's based on a scene from The Killing Joke.) I'd prefer a rainbow Batman, but I think this is plausible. It seems like something that would remain exclusive and look special and wouldn't really require any recolored pieces (they'd probably just use Brick Daddy's Fedora).
  12. Iron Man looks pretty good now, but I know that I probably won't get him. Did anyone see that Batman sticker book? I noticed that Riddler had a Joker-esque BANG gun except the flag was green and had a question mark on it. I just thought that was strange.
  13. Thanks for the review. I can't wait to get my copy! I have a question though; when did you purchase/recieve this set? (I'm hoping that later produced versions will have fewer minifigure mistakes.)
  14. I'd like to see most of these, and most of them seem pretty realistic. The only one I see having no chance at all is the Hulk vs. Military one because I doubt that they'd want it to seem as though the military (assuming US) as antagonists, or vice versa.
  15. I tried this in LDD a while back, and found it pretty hard. I had to upsize to eight studs, and even then I gave up. I could get the shape, but I couldnt intergrate the red too well. Anyway, if you do succeed, or even try, I'd love to see it.
  16. In that high-res picture, the Quinjet actually looks pretty good to me. I just don't like the windshield, but I don't care about accuracy as I've never seen the real one before. I'm still not getting it though. The old one was more charming, but the newer one is more detailed and represents just what licensed LEGO minifigures are becoming. I woulnd't really say that the old one looks more LEGO, I'd just say that it's a slightly older style and therefore the one we are more used to. But really, it's an opinion.
  17. The only thing that keeps me from switching out the new Bruce Wayne face with the old one is that I don't have an old, cheek bone-less Batman face to go with it. Agreed
  18. Looks like dark/burnt orange. It's the color LEGO uses for most of their red-headed characters, like the Weasleys and Lupin. Can't think of too many other licensed characters who do at the moment though.
  19. Most of the figures look pretty good, but I'm still only looking at getting the Hulk set. It seems to have the most useful figure parts. I guess that Loki does have Bruce Wayne's face, which is pretty disappointing. If we're lucky they'll at least make it double sided this time. Black Widow does look strange to me too. I really wish they left off the cheek bones.
  20. I'd take a red Batman, that's pretty funny. But yeah, thats probably about as close as they can get to a celebration Batman.
  21. Well, that's reassuring, especially if they bother to get it worked out. I have that problem with Spinball, but this game is fine except for glitches like I said above and Poison Ivy reported. (I get both, but I find that after exiting and reentering the level I'm not frozen.)
  22. It was in the Arkham Asylum set.
  23. I have IE8 (I know, that's pretty bad) and I can't even get past the level "The Emerald Ninja." My enemies (who I assume are the other ninja) never show up.
  24. Tell me about it. I just skimmed through the latest page last night and this thread is normally pretty mild compared to that. The first year had seven sets, including a UCS model of the Batmobile and the TRU exclusive Arkham Asylum. For the most part, the price ranges for the minifigure sets weren't that different from now except there was no $40 set and a $30 one instead of a $35 one. Arkham was $80 and the Batcave $90. So, in the first year the wave was bigger than DC, but smaller than DC and Marvel together. The next year only brought two mid-sized sets ($30 and $50). 2008 had four sets for $10, $20, $30 and $50. I don't think that with both DC and Marvel this will be of much help in predicting how long the line will last.
  25. Yep, I removed Harry Potter's scar and the face from an extra head (just to make sure it would work with Potter). The end results were pretty good, but I couldn't get all of either away, so I just gave up. There was a faded eye left on the test face and almot unnoticable parts of the scar. I suppose I just need to put more time into it. I'll have to try that. I've wanted to remove print, but I'm to cheap to buy brasso and erasers are too time consuming to use regularly.
