LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
SoupOrFishOil replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
Maybe. I'm expecting something like his hideout set from the Spider-man theme (just different enough so that it can't be traced to being based on the movie too easily). Cue 60's Batman theme parody. -
I don't know about them, but if I was pitted against rampaging dinos I wouldn't be too fond of them.

I'm pretty sure she's final. Unless there's a big mistake on the photos from TRU. -
The Penguin's Batman Minifigures. )

You're figures are all great, but out of this last batch, I think I espcially like the simpler ones such as the Blackgate women, Bruce Wayne, and Clark Kent. I don't like Pyg either, but the minifigure, but you really did a great job with him! -

I know, really. It's so confusing. In this one it kind of justifies LEGO's color choice, but the hairstyle made (a little) more sense in the one Poison Ivy posted a few pages back. -

I'd say mid March, the DC sets were up for preorder around December 10th, if I remember right. On another note, can anybody tell what color Black Widow's hair is? It looks dark orange (burnt orange) to me. -

The Funhouse pics didn't surface until it went on preorder at LEGO.com. -
The reason the Funhouse is rare is probably that it's only available from LEGO and a certain retailer, which probably depends on your country. I think it's Toys R Us in the US, but they didn't have it at mine. I also heard a rumor that K-mart had them, but I'm not sure.

Good to see this thread revived. I always enjoyed looking through it. That Pieman/Luthor one was great! -

You know the name is Spider-man's Doc Ock Ambush. They're probably playing on the word "dock". -

I for one am glad that Black Widow doesn't have Dastan's hair. Then it would look like she has the same haircut as Thor. -

I don't see why Fury can't be in the Spider-man set. There wasn't really a good reason for Riddler to be in the funhouse. -

Not very good pictures, but you can see that the chest symbols are different. The first (triangle/Mark 6) one is from Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape and the second (circle/Mark 7) one from the Quinjet. -

Yes, in the press release which announced the Marvel theme. Probably, since the Jack Sparrow face he had at comic-con had a skull on the other side. Yep, closer to $40 than $70, for Americans at least. That site is Australian and sadly, they have to overpay. -

Now I really want to see finalized figs. I'll probably have to wait for some figures to be stolen from the factory before I can get a closer look at Black Widow. Wonder where Fury is. The Spider-man set maybe? We did suspect Harley Quinn had been replaced in favor of Joker's henchman until pictures of the funhouse came out. -

Yep, that's ridiculous. It's because your LEGO comes from Europe right? Anyway, that price is from Mr Toy's Toyworld (or something like that) and they charge above (the already inflated) price, right? EDIT: Found the website. EDIT 2: Everything looks overpriced. $25 for Captain America's Avenging Cycle and $69.99 for the Samurai Mech. -

I think that that was the Australian price from some toy store who charges additional markup. But I can't remember, I'll look into it later. -

I don't see why not, everyone in DC who was capable of (somewhat) hiding it had one, except for Two-Face and Bruce Wayne. -

Found this on Brickipedia: The sideburns may show through, but that doesn't seem like something LEGO would care about very much. When Joker is smirking, you can see his lower lip and some teeth on the otherside beneath the hair. -

I don't think that's enough publicity. She has appeared in the two most recent Batman cartoons, but only in an episode of each. Yet, in 2008 she had her own set (without Joker, Riddler, Poison Ivy, or any other supervillain). So did Killer Croc in 2008. And from what I understand (not that I follow Marvel characters), Deadpool hasn't had too much publicity either. I really wouldn't know about him though. Thank you very much! Sounds like an exclusive Batman suit, I wounder what it is. Maybe that Dark Knight Batman? That's pretty much my list too, except I don't know who Juggernaut is. If there is enough time. I don't have any idea how long this theme will last. But maybe if they branch out into the Justice League or comic-based Avengers we'll see more elusive villains as there will be plenty of big-name heroes together to sell those sets to more casual fans. -

I think that Superman could have a large set, Daily Planet could work. Flash could also work in a small set, if they can come up with a vehicle for his nemisis (Captain Cold, right?). Green Lantern is a little more difficult for me to come up with something, but I guess he could always guest star. Better than not having him at all. Both the DC and Marvel universes are large. This theme could go on for years (not that I see it going on too long). I don't think Penguin would need a re-do. Just give him back-printing and he'd fit right in with the current heavily detailed minifigures I think. Of course, Catwoman didn't really need a makeovers though, so I'm sure they'd change him some.
