Monster Fighters 2012
SoupOrFishOil replied to Darth Nihilus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I agree with you actually. I don't care for Marvel or LotR too much, and I'm tired of Star Wars, but I think that this theme is really interesting. I'm not fond of the robotic limbs, but they do add character, I guess, and they are useful and shouldn't be too hard to replace with normal ones. -

Okay, I almost like these figures. Why are they cyborgs though. Very nonsensical stuff like that is alright for things like Ninjago in my book, but I don't like the idea of 30s cyborgs...good thing I was only planning on updating Johnny Thunder & Co. -

Okay. Then that doesn't sound like something we'll get this wave, Wolverine's motorcycle is the vehicle in the sole X-men set. (Then maybe it's X-mAn?) -

Quinjet is confirmed. We aren't getting the Fantastic Four this time around, and I don't know what the Blackbird is, so I don't know there. Is it Black Widow's vehicle? -
I'd like Superman, I think he is third wave material. I'd also like to see Catwoman and either Robin or a black Batman. If they would be willing to do it, I think that an Ultrabuild Doc-Ock could be interesting too, but it would probably have to be bigger than the normal canister size, since he does have six arms. (Actually, I think I'm going to try and make one on LDD...)

I could understand as soon as the sets start disappearing or even April, but January? I was hoping to get an extra of Poison Ivy's hairpiece of off bricklink to cut up and use for a Batgirl, good thing I decided it was too bright. I could only imagine how much her hair along will cost. Guess I'm using Molly Weasley's hair...and buying a whole extra Catwoman set rather than just buy an extra Catwoman.

Loki would of been the only reason I'd get that set. If he doesn't have a helmet, I can easily skip it. -

Okay, I thought he meant that all exclusives are for TRU. I don't follow them anyway, I think that you might be able to tell because I was only aware of two which weren't TRU. -

Not always; the Pizza Planet Truck and Durmstraing Ship (with bonus minifigures ) were both exclusive to Target. Wal Mart has had exclusives too, I just can't think of one at the moment. I think that price is bad, considering that I thought $40 was perfect for it. Plus, it could easily go up. I think I'll get it of S@H with Superman and the Batwing for my birthday. -

I see that now, I think it's in the cheek bones I didn't notice before. Edit: I don't think there are cheek bones actually I mean that line on the left side (my left) of her face. -

I didn't know how to describe Catwoman's and I don't own Harley yet, but I completley agree about Ivy. Not that you are wrong, maybe once I have Harley I'll see what you see, and again, I don't know how I'd describe Catwoman's. -

I don't mind the recycling and similarity of design among Wonder Woman and the Gotham Girls, it's more that they all have the same expression. The angry face on the Gotham Girls is pretty similar too, except Catwoman's has goggles so I'm not so sure if that's angry. -

I didn't notice that Wonder Woman's was, but I did notice that the "Gotham Girls" were. It is disappointing I think, but not as bad as Bruce and Superman being nearly identical. I hope that the TDKR sets are more in the style of TDK sets, because I don't really like the movie's Bane and I don't want multiples of him, if any. TDKR Catwoman could be useful though. I'd like vehicles based on the movie, but pitted against different villains who haven't appeared yet (like Penguin and Scarecrow) in original scenes (or at least remakes, wouldn't it be great if Scarecrow got a blimp this time?). -

Where? I don't think we've seen her minifigure yet. I'd think that they'd use Dastan's hair though. Maybe in a different color, but I forgot what color her hair is. -

Clever idea, I think the neck looks a little long though. I can't say if I like it or not, but I like the idea. Maybe if I saw it with printing I'd change my mind. -
Pretty nice! I like the design, and it looks like the wheels are able to turn Are the green seats movie accurate? I wouldn't of expected that, I think they look nice.

So...maybe? I remember E-mailing them about that fake Theed Palace set (anyone remember that?) and they wouldn't confirm or deny THAT either, even though it was obviously fake. I suppose that if you asked them if Hawkeye was included in the Cosmic Cube set, the wouldn't confirm or deny that either. So really, not much help and I'm sure all I'm doing to making this more confusing. -
Sonic means sound (or something about sound), so yeah. I thought that it might of been all four vehicles combined though. Sensei's element is creation though which is the four combined.

I saw Breez's sword, it was fairly near the begninning of the weapon/armor list. It was kind of hard to notice being one color though. I didn't see any villain parts either, sadly. I wanted to use some of Black Phantom's parts.

The LDD update includes a lot of the new Super Hero parts/reused Batman parts including Batman's cape and cowl, Catwoman's cowl, Two-Face's hair, Wonder Woman's hair, and the bat-wing jetpack. I didn't see Superman's hair, but wouldn't be surprised if it's there. -
Perfect, thank you!
