Really nice work. I can't find fault with it. To me it looks like he painted the blimp parts from an Adventurers set. I don't remember what it was called though.

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
SoupOrFishOil replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, I hope that he comes in a nice set, if they make him at all. Of my three favorite Batman villains, we only got Two-Face this wave. I hope that Mr. Freeze and The Penguin are on the way, I guess that they had to save some good villains for next year/the summer. -
Those are really great! Your son has talent.

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion

Well, both the DC and Marvel licenses with LEGO are mulit-year. According to Variety.com, there will be a The Dark Knight Rises wave this Summer. A seemingly reliable source also said that there would be a large Superman set next year. So chances are that there will be more sets, at least that's what I think when I hear "multi-year deal." I agree that I'd like to see those characters to, even though I'm concerned of how they'd do Mr. Freeze... -

I like the Funhouse version too. It's just the muscles I dislike. I can tolerate small things like a black question mark and gray hat just because those are small personal preferences. The one in the funhouse seems to be spandex too, doesn't look very suit like to me. Here -

I think that we will get pictures around the release time, like the Funhouse. I don't know about price or piece count though. -

I wish that we had a mix of the two, a green bowler had, but with a question mark, and a torso like the one we have, just not as muscular and with a large purple question mark (rather than black, both like the prototype). With purple hands, the current face, a "?" cane, and I think that would be the perfect Riddler. But of course, that's just my opinion. -
It certainly does look more formidable, but I think it lacks a certain aethstetic that the official version did. I don't know what it is, but something seems strange. Actually, now that I took a second look, I think that it might be that the upper and lower leg are similar in height. The original didn't really have knees though, but I'd think the legs would look better if the lower one was longer. That is a great job though, and even better that you used all real pieces. Not much else I can say, except that I love that new chest. The cockpit, arms, and power source all look nicer too. How many bricks did you use? Not on a bugdet of twenty dollars he can't.

Doesn't look like they have purple hands to me. But seriously, this is strange to me, LEGO's colors are very different (I know they are preliminary, but just seems strange). Should be interesting how this turns out. The General and the soldier's hand color was one of the few reasons I had for buying that set. I'm sure that no matter what they'll be interesting minifigures though. -
Really fun to look through this thread, some of these, especially the Harry Potter and Imperial Shuttle ones are very neat. I think that there were some in the original Batcave too.

I think I saw it on an upcoming Star Wars minifigure. But yeah, currently that is exclusive to the Batcave in black. -
Monster Fighters 2012
SoupOrFishOil replied to Darth Nihilus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Sorry, I didn't realize that this hadn't been shared in this thread. It was in the Haunted House one. Anyway, there was a ghost ship with Toth's other Monster Fighters sketches (as was the Haunted House). The guy who first claimed that there would be a Haunted House (which we seem to have seen, very similar to Toth's sketches) also predicted a Flying Dutchman (from POTC), which someone suggested might of been confused for another Monster Fighters set. -

Does Gandalf have a double sided head? Because if not, they are slightly different, at least with expressions. Now that I look at it closer though, the eyebrows seem different too, but I can only just see Magneto's. Edit: I took too long to post.... :P -

I wonder if this Ghost Ship is the Zombie set. -

I doubt they are final. Only Wolverine & co. seem to be. Well, Captain America does too, but that seems to be the wrong variation. -

The torso and face are good. My point was that Iron man seems to be treated carefully compared to her though (with her lack of hair). -

She is somewhat random, but she's still uglier than Iron man. She was treated pretty carelessly, while Iron man has been treated with care, more or less. We haven't really seen a final (physical) version though, so I'll do my best to reserve my thoughts about him (but out of the preliminary figures, he probably is the worst). I don't think you need a reason to dislike the minifigure, some just seem strange. Yeah, let's focus on the positives. -
I don't know if this is the reason for Lloyd's hood being loose, but it might be a remold of the one introduced years ago (in Star Wars, I think). On LDD I noticed that there were two of those hood pieces which looked identical (I didn't notice any differences), but the part IDs were different. I'd assume that for whatever reason, LEGO redesigned it, possibly so it would be more compatible with the short cape, not that I see why the old one wouldn't work.

Really? One of the worst minifigure's you have ever seen? I'm not a big fan of the large helmet either, but I personally don't like the customs with a painted minifigure head. I'm not an Iron Man fan, but from my point of view, it looks too small. Sure LEGO's helmet is big, but I appreciate the effort they put into it and I'm getting tired of hearing posts about how Iron Man is the worst figure ever. And even though I wouldn't say Iron Man is a great figure (probably mediocre) he's still far from some of the worst minifigures LEGO has made. (Personally, my vote for LEGO's worst figure would go to this "lovely" lady.) I don't want to start an argument with everyone, I'll admit that aethstetically Iron man is pretty mediocre, I just get tired of hearing that he's one of the worst figures ever. I will say that he is probably the worst figure in the line-up, not that we can tell yet. -
I'd say that Hogwarts castle, its expansion pack, and the Hogwarts express would get you all the characters you'd need, except for Hagrid, so maybe add the Forbidden Forest to that. While I agree with others that The Burrow and Diagaon Alley are great, they just aren't essential.

Those faces are interesting, not what I was expecting. Cole kind of looks demonic.
