  1. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it - a while ago we got our first look at some Lightyear toys: https://www.cbr.com/disney-pixar-lightyear-mattel-merchandise/ And buzz does indeed seem to have grey wings - now whether they're actually grey in the movie or just a case of early concept art is another matter. What weirds me out with this fig is how big the armor is, making his shoulders look disproportionate, not to mention the plainness of the armor & wings is weirdly contrasted with the detailed torso & legs.
  2. Weirdly enough it looks like trans. dark blue, but I'm happy either way. I know many still want a proper ronin/Natasha figs, but this is still a great pack.
  3. So it seems the rumor of that laser shark set with a certain greek god was fake...a shame, but still happy you get both Thors in a relatively cheap set!
  4. https://brickset.com/parts/6338470/wheel-fork-4x5-w-4-85-hole Just introduced in The Batman sets for the motorcycles.
  5. Wowowow another HoA set? Sounds amazing! Kinda hoping Ivan gets his bird! I also hope they go a bit crazy with the interior of the sanctum set, but I'm sure the main 2 pieces will be the entrance stairs and the top roof with the window.
  6. Taking inspiration from more than 8 different designs from across comics, MCU, concept art, and games, I designed this hefty Stark piece of machinery! [MOC] Ultimate Hulkbuster by Admiraltyphoon, on Flickr [MOC] Ultimate Hulkbuster by Admiraltyphoon, on Flickr What was before a MOD to the IW set, the main challenge for me was also to prove that the 2020 6x6 dish head could be implemented well in a hulkbuster design compared to the actual set. [MOC] Ultimate Hulkbuster by Admiraltyphoon, on Flickr [MOC] Ultimate Hulkbuster by Admiraltyphoon, on Flickr I called it "Ultimate" because of the variety of designs it takes inspiration from, but also because I'm going to consider it my definitive version for quite a while (unless Lego brings out another specific piece that inspires me to rework it yet again). 7. Amazing! I don't think anyone has ever made the Multipla in brick before. I always found it odd in a cute way when I was a child. And I have to agree, the design is spot on!
  8. Interesting - I'm curious to see how they pull off a mech-sized glider. Also every time a new spidey mech shows up I keep hoping it's either of the SP//DR designs. It's astounding to me that they've had 2 canon designs (one of which actually showed up in a movie that was well-received) and we still don't have official sets of them.
  9. This is some sort of fever dream, I never thought TFs would be licensed to Lego. There could be an assumption it's the G1 design to get a wider fan & casual audience, but considering it's in May and with the fact that we might be seeing merch for the Rise of the Beasts movie show up soon (the delay to 2023 was so abrupt Hasbro couldn't stop the retailers from halting sales until next year), I'm inclined to believe we'll be seeing his movie design, especially since it's basically the G1 one but with movie detailing.
  10. iron man Mk1, War Machine, Star lord's, Thor's, and Cap's helmets as well as Ultron's head (with extra parts to do either blue or red light) would be good candidates to follow the iron man helmet series (assuming it sold well), object-wise I can only think of Redwing, the orb, Mysterio's drones, and the nano gauntlet.
  11. True, but I didn't think of that from the minifig included. Doing all missing Thor figs at once in a single big set could be a selling point as well. Even if we went by that, his torso design seems to be from Thor 1 and not his Avengers look. At least it goes well with the Loki we got last year!
  12. This might be a wild guess and purely based off of the fact that they made Mjolnir its own set, but what if the $500 D2C set is Asgard? It seems like a good candidate for a big grandiose facade-type of set to "celebrate" (if they are actually celebrating) 10 years of the theme and/or still going with the Infinity Saga line, with some rooms at the back from the movies.
  13. Ah, sorry! I got confused over which part we were talking about. The Lotus has these side-by-side in dark green (and a third one at the front) https://brickset.com/parts/design-31584 While the one in the Ferrari seems to be this piece https://brickset.com/parts/6369577/brick-1x2-outside-half-arch-no-1 so far only available in the Stratocaster. Also, is it just me or is the AMG 1 kinda generic-looking? The Petronas F1 looks the highlight of the set + those Pirelli side tyre parts
  14. I don't think so - if it were, they would've probably taken out a 1x1 plate space from it so you could connect it with plates/bricks (like the 1x2 baby bow connection). It's likely it's just the 2 parts put together for either structural integrity or because the designer couldn't find a better solution + the inner wedges are covered up by the rear windscreen.
  15. I'd agree with you, but at the same time, for a $100 DC set that probably still has to meet Lego's yearly Batman quota (since I don't think we're gonna have yet another version show up in Black Adam), I think a new costume/variant wouldn't be unreasonable to ask for, maybe even as an extra enticement for buyers or Batman collectors to get the set. If it isn't the knight, I'm sure throughout all the comics there's probably a few magic-related suits they could use.
  16. Lego better be making sets for Spiderverse 2, especially with (ACTUAL SPOILER UNLESS YOU'VE SEEN THE NEW TEASER) Like, you can't tell me they're making an extra set for a movie featuring 3 spidermen due to spoilers then not do sets for a movie potentially having more than 3-4.
  17. Battinson set pics just showed up in the usual place - I gotta say, I like the 2 bigger sets, but Batman's bike build is disappointing.
  18. Yeah I think it's almost obvious that the bikes (or maybe at least Batman's) will be brickbuilt. The batmobile chase being $40 or so makes me think it'll have 2 vehicles unless they are seriously gonna give us some massive 8-10 stud wide muscle car for Bats.
  19. My predictions for Round 2/3 (with reasons): Windmill (fantasy/medieval) Brickwest Studios (wild west) LEGO store (People have been asking for a proper one for a while now) Bowling Alley (retro) Seasons in Time (novelty item) Space Troopers (the only space/sci-fi project in the whole program + classic space) Studgate (train fans) Diner (retro) Exploratorium (steampunk) Winter Chalet (solid addition to winter village)
  20. For UK (and I think Europe as well?) fans, the new avengers magazine with the helicarrier war machine is out! I am sorely tempted to make an army of him, but then I'd have no budget left for the CMF or for the rest of the year I'll probably settle for a few copies and call it a day.
  21. It's possible this 4+ line-up (which I actually haven't been able to find, how many sets is it?) is about sets related to the upcoming spiderman show for kids: This could also cover the compulsory yearly spiderman sets, giving more space to the mainline Marvel theme for MCU/10th anniversary stuff.
  22. I'm pretty sure it's a churro, although dark tan or med. nougat would've worked better.
  23. the fact that they seem to be relying on case numbers of a certain virus to go down so that they don't impact their box office like it did with BW - it seems to be the speculated number 1 reason also as to why we still haven't gotten a trailer, even though we're like 4-5 months away from the release. If it does get delayed, I do wonder what's gonna happen with all the spoiler-y merch. Marvel would probably do everything in their power to prevent them from releasing before the movie.
  24. I know people are being optimistic and I don't blame them at all for wanting more X-men sets, but I think we might be over-analyzing a tiny boxart pic on the front of a plastic packet a bit too much. Next year is already going to be packed even just in terms of movies (4 with a rumored additional NWH wave), maybe shows (I fully expect to get at least 1-2 armor wars sets) and the usual yearly spider man sets, perhaps those to go with ITSV2 towards the end of the year. With that being said, I'm still hopeful that whatever they come up with the 10th anniversary of the theme actually represents Marvel as a whole and not just Avengers 10th anniversary sets.
  25. It might be a stretch, but with maybe a different set of legs (or maybe even the same ones) one could repurpose star lord t'challa as
